Owning at more than 1 resort - is it complicated?

My feelings are that we have payed a pretty penny for our memberships and I am going to do what ever I need to do to make sure that we can stay where we want, when we want.
We all should within the rules. In many ways we are in direct competition to other members.

We own 7 memberships at two resorts, OKW & SSR. We bought 4-150 point memberships at SSR and 1-300 point. Two at OKW, 310 & 200. We have 3 UY's and that is what is sometimes complicated. If you own all the memberships in your name you can transfer from any to any to combine the points. That makes things easer, you do have work with the UY when transfering.

This is great to know. I just started to hunt the boards to figure out if this is doable. Thank you.

The "rule of 4" is killing me, because my d/h can't request a vacation more than 120 days in advance. We own at OKW with a June UY, and banked/saved for a cruise, and when my d/h got permission the first week of February, they wouldn't book a cruise in May because of this (IMO absolutely idiotic) rule.

I'm thinking maybe it's time to buy a small resale contract with a different use year. Otherwise, for the rest of my life, we won't be able to travel outside of a DVC from Feb-May. But if I'm reading your post right, if we can get a small resale with a different UY, I can move points between the two and bank/borrow as needed.

WE have 12 contracts spread over OKW,VB,HHI, SSR, AKV, and GCV. with 2 different use years. The member site keeps track of what we have. We really have no issue with booking.
