Owners locker anyone?!

WOW!! All that stuff fits in 2 lockers! I'm trying to figure out what I want to put in there!! I already purchased an air mattress and brita pitcher when they were on sale at Target. I'm also going to put 2 of our refillable mugs from previous trips in there because a diser friend of mine who also owns DVC says the coffee mugs in the kitchens are kinda small. I like a big mug! I also have a list of stuff to buy!

Yes, it fits easily, actually. (No bulging lids for us.)

You are right about the mugs - they are pretty small IME at VWL and SSR.

Don't forget when you're packing your Locker that you can put lots of little stuff in the empty Brita pitcher!

We're looking forward to using ours this week. Also looking forward to decorating it. I wanted to do something similar to what Tagrel did with theirs... they used vinyl lettering and shapes to make their logo. I searched all over to find colored vinyl, but couldn't find any. I have to improvise until i can find what i want. I want to make the M&M characters holding the disney characters in their hands. Our locker name is M&M's Disney Kit. (for the candy and Mark and Marlow)
As far as packing, my wife and i are singing the "wont have to remember that anymore" or "wont be forgetting that anymore" songs.
"Lovin' every minute of it!" .....Loverboy:thumbsup2 (that ages me!:rotfl2:)

Like earler posters we have a Brita pitcher and water bottles, first aid kit, toiletries, Mickey shirts, chargers, surge protectors, etc. We also have a small George Foreman grill (we often stay in studios) and a Pfalzgraff set of melamine dishes that may come home. Scissors, knife, small cutting board, etc.

For the OP, the pull-out chair is really quite comfortable!

Our OL is Deb and Don's Disney Dreams...we see it next Sept 18!:thumbsup2

I'm on the fence but really leaning toward purchasing one. Anyone have any more good reasons to have one to totally get me off the fence?

I just signed up for my second locker because I want to get some pillows to store in it because I hate the hotel ones. They are just not comfortable and we need more.

I know this next trip I will be organizing my lockers better than last time though.

I have 5 trips planned between now and the New Year. Some are just short last minute getaways because I found really cheap air for this fall and I will be able to catch more of the F&WF events. :cool1:
What makes these trips a breeze for me to plan is my OL. I will just throw a few clothes in my smallest bag and be ready to go!!
We just renewed our locker and I am soooo glad we did!! I dont think I would be excited about all the back and forth if I didnt have a locker waiting for me:thumbsup2

Can't really figure out the need to spend the extra $$$ for a locker when it's small stuff that tucks into your suitcase. No flames please just please explain the need.

Ownerslocker offers a money back guarantee. It really is difficult to explain until you try it. I was a trial member and just paid for my first time this year. I really kicked it around but I decided as the chief resident packer that it is a service that is worth it to me.
Dh gets really stressed when we take a bunch of bags. I get really stressed trying to think about what we need and what we dont need for each trip. Vacations are supposed to be stress free, but when I pack extra lite for our family of four I end up at CVS or Walgreens or even worst Wal Mart picking up things we left at home. I hate necessity shopping on vacation and as the mom and wife I dont relax until we have what we need.
Those "small things" add up. Each of my family members has different needs. Like my son's extra nebulizer or my full size Pantene, or our twin aero the list goes on.
The service is excellent. For the price of a character breakfast, I get everything I need and excellent service to boot. Ownerslocker offers me an excellent value and I am soooo happy to have one:thumbsup2

Liferbabe thanks for the response and at last I get it and totally understand why folks are OL groupies!!

We love :lovestruc our locker! While it's true some of our stuff is small, it's about 100 small things that I don't have to worry about packing! I would hate to pack a king size pillow, king size fitted sheet, extra carry on bag (just incase I buy too much stuff :scared1:) and Christmas tree :santa: every trip. We're just thankful we got so much in our locker before they started charging for luggage! The most important thing to me is the stress this service reduces while packing. I was making myself sick , what if I forget this or that, now it's there. We always leave our cell phone chargers and a weeks worth of prescription medications, two things we consider really important. I agree we don't use everything every vacation, some of the stuff we don't want to need like the ponchos, umbrellas:umbrella:and band-aids :rotfl:. We are also thankful that so many breakable items or bottles that leak don't have to be hauled in our luggage each trip like the shampoo, hairspray, perfume, candles, and those leftover beverages :drinking1!!

princess:pirate:

I love my locker too! As a single Mom, I do not want to be lugging around extra suitcases or paying fees to the airline to check them. I was able to pack quickly for our trip this past week.
Here are some things I have in mine:

Small Brita Pitcher- cannot do without!
refillable mugs
refillable frozen coke character mugs(the ones from Goofy's Candy CO in DTD)
mole-skin
french vanilla coffee and filters
disposable hot cups/lids ( great to take coffee with you to parks and then toss cup when done) bought these through Garden Grocer
full size Tide and Downy
fabric softener sheets
ponchos
goggles
pool toys- balls frizbees
full size toothpaste and toothbrushes
back scrubber
Clorox surface wipes
zip loc bags in asst sizes

LOVE the convenience of OL!!! I have so much packed into ours though! In fact, I'm thinking of doing some change outs with it this next trip. I think I'll take some things I currently have in there and bring them home, and leave some other things. I KNOW I have way too much there as it is!:lmao:

We are considering getting a locker but not to sure how much the cost really is with free trips and all. We go 3 or 4 times a year, so what would be the yearly fee and cost to get it delivered 4 times a year, if anyone knows would appreciate the help. Thanks

Hi Bouncin,

Here's the info on the cost of Owner's Locker:

1.There is a one-time Membership Fee that covers the cost of the Locker itself as well as its initial delivery and pickup at the end of your initial Visit. This is usually $75 but under the exclusive DIS deal, the Membership Fee is $45.

2.There is an annual fee of $99 for storage in our climate controlled warehouse and one free Visit (that's what we call a delivery and pickup). Extra Visits are $25 each. Under the DIS deal, you also get an extra free Visit for the first 3 years of your Membership in Owner's Locker.

I hope this makes sense. If you have specific questions that I haven't answered, let me know.

I just have to pipe in to say that the Stress Reducer of Owners Locker is worth the minimal amount of the service. I was a hold out (Queen of frugal), but once I used the service I was totaly convinced of the value.

AMEN! While I won't say that I'd pay just anything for the service I do believe that it's some of the best money we spend just in terms of making travel easier. :thumbsup2 For us, there's no denying that it's a TERRIFIC value!

Hi, hope this makes sense - we're from UK and wondered if we did some on line shopping can we get that sent to our owners locker? I'm thinking clothes I buy for DD ready for her trip. Someone mentioned they fed ex'd a parcel. We only go once a year generally so would only use it once a year. But if I could send things to my OL that would make if worthwhile for me.

Thanks to everyone who posted partial (or full...thanks Tara) lists. Needed some extra oomph to push DW over the edge and I think this will do it. OL here we come!
