It's now only 40 days until we hit the road to Walt Disney World and I'm not doing so hot at posting our trip details. I'm getting really lousy at keeping up with my subscribed threads. All these holidays, road trips, medical issues, etc. have kept me pretty busy and I'm beginning to feel like a bad Disboarderer or is that Disboarder or maybe even Disboarderererer.

Speaking of Ers, does anybody ever watch Hoarders? Just plain disgusting the conditions some of those folks live in. Sorry, off subject.

Anyway, I've posted our travel day and our Day One Epcot plans. Let's move on to our official second day at Walt Disney World.
Day Two: Magic Kingdom day!

Park hours are 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. with the afternoon taking place at 3:00 p.m. Spectromagic is supposed to start at 9:00 p.m. and Wishes at 10:00 p.m.
Our plan is to get up and be at the Magic Kingdom at 9:00 a.m. I didn't say that's what we would do but that's the plan. John doesn't move as fast as the rest of us in the morning. He'd just as soon we go on without him and he catch up with us later. I don't like to do that though since it's a family vacation meaning that I want our family to be together. However, when it comes to our Hollywood Studios day (coming later on in the pre-trip report if I ever get to it), Hunter and I plan to leave John and Mama at the resort while we hightail it to Star Wars Weekend. Sorry, drifting off subject again.
Last year, we had wonderful bus service and I hope that's the case again this trip. Here's a picture of John last year on the ride to the Magic Kingdom:

Poor baby, it takes him a while to wake up in the mornings. Those epilepsy meds are very sedative. At least that's what he tries to blame his little naps on.

When we get to the Magic Kingdom, we'll join the throng (no I didn't say thongs

I think we'll probably start touring the park by going left throughAdventureland. Of course, I'll have to stop and take a picture of the beautiful Cinderella's Castle:

Before crossing underneath the Adventureland sign:

Every since my Mama went with us to Disney in 2000, she's talked about that wonderful smell that came from a building in Adventureland. That building that sold ice cream that we never stopped at. In all of our trips to Disney, we've never ever eaten a Dole Whip which is what Mama is talking about. This is a "must do" on our list but I'm sure we won't be stopping there until a little later in the day.
I'm pretty sure we'll skip the Swiss Family Robinson Treehouse. Mama's knees just ain't what they used to be and climbing up and down those steps wouldn't be a good thing. We'll also skip Aladdin's Magic Carpets for now so that we can get in line for the Jungle Cruise so we can see this guy:

From there, we'll go to one of our favorites.....Pirates of the Caribbean. Wait, I take that back. I'm sure we'll stop by the Enchanted Tiki Room.

Where we'll enjoy a few jokes, some songs, be scared by the Tiki Goddess and then thrown out by one of our gracious hosts:

Then....we'll go get in line for Pirates of the Caribbean:

Get him girl!

Does this guy ever take a bath?

By the way, has anybody ever heard the tale about a ghost named "George" that lives in the Pirates of the Caribbean attraction? I've read something about you can say you don't believe in him and 9 times out of 10 the attraction shuts down. Anybody else heard this?
I am sure that by the time we finish our cruise with the pirates, I'll be needing a potty break if I haven't already. And, I'm sure that we'll be getting hungry since we don't eat a "real" breakfast unless, of course, you call Little Debbie Fudge Rounds or a banana breakfast.
Mama said she thinks that we ate at Pecos Bill's when she went with us but she doesn't know for sure. She loves sauteed mushrooms and is looking forward to them as am I. So, I'm sure that we'll be making a stop at Pecos Bill's for lunch.
Just look at the goodies we ate there last year. This was taken before our trip to the fixin's bar.

And this was what our tray looked like after we finished up our meal:

Anybody who says the portions at Disney are too small are out of their every lovin' mind.
***Up next, the second half of our Magic Kingdom day.
