Over the River and Through the Woods to Mickey's House We Go! And Grandma is in Tow!

Your first half Magic Kingdom day looks great! My mom loves Pecos Bill's and your picture just confirmed it's a great choice to do again for lunch.

I'm a Dole Whip virgin too, but not for long, I'm for sure getting one next week!!

Hey everybody! I can't believe that so many of us have never tried Dole Whips. :confused3

Can ya'l believe that my office computer is still not fixed? I think it ws infected by the virus the last week of March. The first set of computer people were able to save everything that was on the computer but it's been shutting down five and six times a day all by itself. The second computer guy came around, finally, last Thursday afternoon. We kept telling him that we just want a new computer and get him to transfer everything to the new one. He said he understood that and would be back in touch with us this morning. Lo and behold.....no computer guy this morning.

Most of you know that the majority of my Dising is done at work. Gosh, I said that outloud didn't I. Oops! Now that the cat's out of the bag, I guess I might as well finish the story. So, I do most of my Dising at work and with my computer shutting down so many times a day, it affecting my Dis life. I can't seem to keep up with any of my subscribed threads. I get started reading and post a few comments and then, bammmmmm, down goes the computer.

Once I get home, I am in mother/wife mode. There's supper that has to be cooked, clothes that have to be washed and dried, clothes to be ironed, etc. I always say I leave the job that pays to come home to the job that doesn't pay.

So, all that being said, I'm trying my best to write up the next half of our Magic Kingdom day. Please hang in there, I promise I am coming back with more plans.

I've never had a Dole Whip either. I am determined to have one this trip though!

Your first half of MK day looks great! I love the before and after shot of the food. I don't know how anybody leaves a meal hungry at WDW. The amount of food is insane!

Your plans for MK sound great! You have me already looking forward to your next report. :woohoo:
I have to tell you- I never had a dole whip until Fall of '08. I vow to have as many as possible for the rest of my life. I am SO hooked on them. I LOVE pineapple & I'm not crazy about ice cream, but there is just something about the dole whip that I can't get enough of. You think they put some kind of narcotics in there??? :lmao:
ANTM is on tonight. :)

I'll wait for you Lisa! Can't wait to see some more plans...I've been doing the majority of my DISing during my lunch break at my paying job these days. :goodvibes

Lisa, thought I would let you know that the prepurchase price for photopass is back nnow for the general public.

Finally finally finally, I have a new computer at work. It took the computer guy almost 4 hours to transfer all the stuff from my old computer to my new computer. Now, I'm able to get back to the important stuff.....Disney plans.;)

When I last left off, I was saying that we'd probably eat at Pecos Bill's because we love love love the sauteed mushrooms and onions. It's at this point that I am not sure what we will do next. It all depends on how Mama is handling it. I'm thinking she'll be okay. If so, we'll mosey on over to Country Bear Jamboree for a little hokey fun.

During our Thanksgiving, 2000 trip, Mama rode both Splash Mountain and Big Thunder Mountain. It was the funniest thing. I remember her saying, rather loudly, "I can't believe I let you talk me into riding this!". Since then, Hunter has grown tall enough to ride both mountains but doesn't really care for Splash Mountain. I say "doesn't really care for" when I should say "I have to make Hunter ride Splash Mountain."

Let me give you a little history of Splash Mountain. When Hunter was tall enough to ride Splash Mountain, he was excited as could be. He rode it and was a little scared of the last drop but still liked it. He rode it the next year too. Then, the next year, he rode it and said he didn't like it any more. That it scared him silly. He came back from that trip telling Mama about it and she always always tells him before every trip that he doesn't have to ride it if he doesn't want to. We come home and she asks him if he rode it. In all honesty, if she didn't question him on it so, he'd probably like it more.

Anyway, Mama and Hunter may sit out Splash Mountain this trip while John and I follow along on Brer Rabbit's adventures. This may be Mama and Hunter....take out Lacey and insert Mama:

Again, we'll see how Mama is holding out. If she's still okay, we'll either ride Big Thunder Mountain or get Fastpasses for it. I'm thinking it'll be the Fastpass route since it'll be midday by this time.

If Mama doesn't want to go back to the resort and rest, we will probably find some place to take a break. We may even take a ride on the riverboat or take the raft over to Tom Sawyer Island.

If Mama does want to go back to the resort, we'll have some time to rest before our 7 something (don't have my ADR list with me) ADR at The Plaza Restaurant. We haven't eaten there in years. The last time was back when Lacey was still living at home. We will never forget our waitress. During our approximately hour long meal, we ended up with 13 glasses on our table, four little bitty ketchups and 3 little bitty mayonnaise bottles. All that for two adults, a teenager and a child.:confused3 You should have seen how cluttered our table was.

Normally, we stake out a place for Wishes and SpectroMagic about 45 minutes to an hour early but I'm wondering how we are going to accomplish this with Mama. She won't be able to sit on the sidewalk for that long. If I had known about the Wishes Dessert Party ahead of time, I would have booked ADRs for us all. We used to sit at the Noodle Station every year and watch the parade and fireworks (before it was the Noodle Station).

I thought about changing our ADR at the Plaza for lunch and then eating at Pecos Bill's for dinner and book the Wishes Dessert Party. However, I don't like sitting down to a big meal at lunch.

Oh well, I'll figure out a way for us to watch the parade and fireworks without Mama having to sit on the sidewalk for so long.

So, I guess I've finally finished up our second official full day at Disney. Took me long enough.

I am hosting my Disney Big Red Box party this weekend. I have a few people coming over who I helped plan a Disney vacation for. I also downloaded a Disney calendar (along with some bookmarks and coloring pages) from the Disney site this morning and plan on giving them out to my guests. I didn't plan anything elaborate but I think we'll have fun.

Hope everybody has a good weekend. Maybe since I have my new computer, I can get the rest of my trip plans posted soon.

Hi Lisa! I just love reading your reports! LOL! I love Spectro Magic, or as we still call it around here...Disney's Electrical Parade! :rotfl:

So exciting that you are having your party this weekend! Sounds like a lot of fun! Can't wait to hear all about it! Have a great weekend!!

YAY :yay: for a new computer at work, and for updating your MK plans! :yay::yay:

We have never tried the Plaza before. What do you eat there?

Have fun with your Disney Red Box party this weekend. Take lots of pictures! :thumbsup2

It's about time your boss got you a good computer so you can keep up with the Dis :rolleyes1 :lmao:. Your MK day sounds like a good plan to me :thumbsup2. We love eating at the Plaza, but we are skipping it this trip so we can try WCC. We have eaten at Plaza on 3 of our last 4 trips, so it is time to try something new.

If your Mom can't stand for too long maybe someone could run back up to the front of the park and rent her a wheelchair just to sit in and watch the parade and fireworks. It would be an option and she wouldn't have to ride in it all day.

Okay...I'm mostly caught up (I admit...I skimmed a little bit). We LOVE The Plaza. It has become a tradition for that to be the last meal of our trip (and we have it booked for September) before heading to the airport or the beach. We weren't big fans of Pecos Bills...but we could have hit a bad day.

I'm so glad you finally goto your new computer. I know how aggravating it can be. I'm working on a "loaner" laptop from the office at home because my personal computer at home crashed over a week ago and can't live without a computer as I check office email all weekend (and Mark was in Florida and he took my computer to his guy at work to fix; hopefully, I'll have it back on Monday).

I hope you have a great time at your big red box party! Congrats on the new computer. Waiting to hear more about your trip!

The Red Box party should be FUN!!! Love the rest of your MK day plans! We did not do Big Thunder or Splash this past trip. It was our first time, we just wanted to do so much! But those 2 are on our must do list for this sept seeing how Sam hit the 40 inch mark and we can all go on.
