Wow - you've been busy since I last visited your PTR. I'm so happy your washing machine problem was easily fixed. I feel your pain for the flooding situation. I came home from a trip to find my kitchen, office, and pantry in about 1.5" of water. The hot water heater pipe had burst & water had filled the area - luckily it looked like it had started just a bit before we got home, so it could have been
a lot worse. Thank goodness it was all tile flooring & an old house - the floor tilted slightly toward the back door, so the water didn't spread to the rest of the house! I never thought I'd be happy that the floor was tilting before.

All I had to do was open the back door & use my QVC wonder broom (you know the ones made of purple rubber they sold back in the 90's?) to sweep out the water & then dry the floor with an industrial fan my neighbor let me borrow. The good news was that once the water was cleared out, it was the cleanest my floors had looked in a long time!
Your Electric Umbrella stories are so funny! I'm sure it was no fun at the time to lose your tooth. I would have been hysterical (and not in a a ha-ha way) if that had happened to me. I hate anything having to do with dental work.

That bird sounds like one that attacked our food at the Mexican Counter Service restaurant. Those critters get brave!
Your Epcot plans sound great. I hope your mama can take Soarin's IMAX-like feeling. That's one of my favorite rides.
I've made that homemade laundry detergent before! It works really well. Since I'm an aromatherapist (didn't know that, didja?) I like to add essential oils to mine just before using. For bath & kitchen towels, I like to use a lavendar, tea tree, and lemon oil mix. It gets them really clean smelling (not too girly, either), plus those oils are all very anti-microbial/antibacterial, so I know the towels are clean. It takes just 1-2 drops of each to do a whole load. For my outside gardening clothes, I like to use some oils that ward off bugs. It really works & is better than using all that Deet. The bugs smell the clothing & leave you alone.

I'm sure Bridora's DH would peg me as a Hippie

with all the homemade, chemical free stuff I make & use.

That's ok with me - and I've got the hippie name to boot!
Looking forward to more of your plans.
