Over the River and Through the Woods to Mickey's House We Go! And Grandma is in Tow!

We must have posted at the same time. I would have been upset as heck about the phones too. I can't understand why they charged you almost $300 when you should have gotten the free upgrades, shame on them :scared1:. I am waiting on Verizon to deliver my Blackberry I ordered on Friday. I have a Palm Treo now, but I just wanted an upgrade :rolleyes1. I hope it isn't more trouble than it is worth to change them out.

WTG on the shopping :thumbsup2. I think jean shorts are still in. I think if blue jeans are in then the shorts should be too. Right? Right.....:lmao:. I have still got to get me some unmentionables for the trip. Dallas needs some too . Did I mention that I pulled my suitcases out already :guilty:. I can't help it, it just makes the trip seem closer.

I hope your migraine is better. I know hitting yourself in the face didn't make for any kind of headache relief :scared1:. You can always tell everybody you got the black eye when you won the Womens Lightweight International Louisiana Southern All Star Bayou Boxing Championship :rotfl2::lmao::rotfl:. I would never be brave enough to question someone who had a title like that:lmao:.

We do need to come up with a location still don't we? I can't wait for the meet. It is going to be so great to meet everyone! Hope you had a good weekend!! :goodvibes

I wonder if we should just pick say three places and then post a poll to see which location everybody votes on?

You can laugh all you want Lisa! Just don't make me eat at Electric Umbrella!! :lmao:

You could always eat inside. The birds won't bother you there.;)

Aw, man! I always seem to miss the Dis meets by a few weeks. I sure wish I was going the same time as ya'll - I'd love to meet some fellow dis'ers. In all my time on the Dis, I've only met 1 other Dis'er and that was a sort of drive-by meeting.

Oh, well - ya'll will just have to try to have fun without me. I know it'll be a challenge. :rolleyes1

My two meeting with Disers were also drive-by's. I saw them both while standing in line to catch a bus.

It'll be hard but I guess we'll just suffer through the meet without 'cha.:rotfl:

I'm excited about the Dis meet too. I think it will be so much fun . I know it was last year. I can't wait to get back to Disney, it seems like it has been way too long.

Mama still doesn't quite get the whole "Dis meet" concept but I don't think anybody really does except for us Disers.

I knew that we would have to pay for new phones but no new service charges. I had to pay for the phones outright but will get a $50.00 rebate on each of the three. Still, I had to pay it upfront which hurt a little.

I think I am going to be writing a letter to Verizon about how long it took the guy to get our plan changed over. It certainly shouldn't have taken almost two hours!

Our trip to the outlet mall was a successful one in my mind. There's nowhere around here that I could get four pair of shorts, a shirt and "unmentionables" for just over $41.00. I guess if denim shorts are out of style, I'll just have to be out of style. I still have to buy Hunter new socks and some shorts. The boys grows too quickly to buy more shorts right now. I'm afraid he'll outgrow them before he can even start wearing them.

I like the Womens Lightweight International Louisiana Southern All Star Bayou Boxing Championship title. I told John if I was going to get a black eye, I wish it was a good one. You can barely see this one. I sound like such a tomboy don't I?

The headache is still lingering. I am sure it's because everything is blooming and soon everything will be covered in yellow pollen. We all suffer from allergies. I guess I need to just stop on my way home and get some kind of over-the-counter allergy meds.

Dale gets it, but he don't REALLY get it :lmao:. He just doesn't understand our commitment to the Mouse :rotfl:.

Oh OK, I misunderstood about the phone upgrades. I thought it was time for a free upgrade.......read it right Dana :upsidedow. I would write a letter too or call the main number and let them know what happened. When I first got my Palm I was a total dummy and didn't know you had to pay extra for data usage and when I got my first bill it was crazy high. I called and they only charged me the price of a data package instead of usage by minutes. I was not told that the phone was basically ALWAYS online :confused3.

I ordered the shorts for Dallas from Disney so I hope they fit, I hate returning anything I order by mail. How is it these boys seem to just sprout up over night? My bank account doesn't grow as fast as Dallas does....:rotfl: I bought Dallas some socks two weeks ago at the Flea Market, but he will need more as only 3 pairs were in the bundle.

I think the title is really cool :thumbsup2. Being a tomboy is cool. I grew up with mostly boys in my neighborhood so I was always playing football, baseball and doing all the stuff the boys were doing.

Bless your heart. I know it is annoying to have that last little bit of pain hanging on. I don't know if they do ya'll the same as us, when buying OTC sinus meds, but I have already had to sign over my first born just to buy some Sudafed :rotfl:. This is a wonderful time of year and it is also the worst for those of us with sinus trouble. Our cars already have that yellow pollen film on them......grrrrrrrr.

Friday evening, we ran over to the Verizon store to see if we could get it fixed or just replace it. We just bought the stupid thing before we went to Disney World last August. Of course, we had no insurance on it and it wasn't under warranty any more. The guy looked up our account and said since we had originally purchased the plan through Alltel (who Verizon bought out), we could all get an upgraded phone with no upgrade charges. We would have to each buy a new phone though. Problem was, Lacey would be without a phone for several days which I didn't like.

Really no upgrade charges? We have Verizon, which was originally Alltel & our phones have been going crazy ever since we switched over! I was told we needed to upgrade our phones to a Verizon phone.

Lisa, I'm sorry about your migraine! I get those every once in awhile and I'm out for the count when I get them. I hope your nose feels better! Sounds like you had a very successful shopping trip.

Bonworth, where they sell what Mama refers to as "old lady clothes".

Not to offend anyone, but.....a much older lady confided in me that "that store sells old woman clothes"--- I was thinking, "Lady, if YOU think they sell old-women clothes, then the people who buy it must be dead already!"

I don't want my Mama looking like a hip young teenager but I don't want her looking like old woman either.

:lmao::lmao::lmao:

Hi Lisa!:goodvibes

Just catching up again!

Thanks for posting the laundry detergent recipe!! Glad it works!:thumbsup2

I enjoyed reading your Electric Umbrella stories!! They gave me a good laugh tonight!

Yay!..for a dis meet!! You're going to have sooo much fun!

Wow! What a weekend! I hope you're feeling better! DH get migraines once in while and they're horrible.:sad2:

I hope your migraine goes away! For some reason, I always have the same problem when I get a new phone. Even if I don't change my plan at all, it ends up taking at least an hour. Yay for getting such a great deal on all of the clothes! :yay: I can't wait to hear what you think of the Luau. Your trip is in 2 months, right??? That is SO soon!!! I'm at 201 days. :sad2:

I'm sorry about your migraine and your mishap with your face. Makes for a bad day. I hope today is much better! :goodvibes

We've got Verizon, too. My DH has a buddy in there, not anyone he knew beforehand, just a buddy he made whilst going in, who makes life in the phone store better.

I am so excited about the DIS meet. We went last year with LMGH, but didn't see another soul who was positively another DISer. There were a few questionables, but that's it.

I started reading your "Stop making me laugh..." TR last week. Saturday morning I used some of your pics along the way as "trivia" questions for my kids while I was reading. "What ride are they on now?" "What hotel are they staying in?" "What park are they in?" I even skipped ahead to your Branson post with the "World's Biggest Banjo" or whatever it's proper title is, thinking I could fool them, but I guess we've been there too many times to do that! :lmao:

There was no upgrade charge on any of the three phone since we were switching from Alltel to Verizon. We went in just wanting to replace John's phone but they had such a good price on the little Samsung Intensity slider phone that we decided to just switch.

Lisa, I'm sorry about your migraine! I get those every once in awhile and I'm out for the count when I get them. I hope your nose feels better! Sounds like you had a very successful shopping trip.

The migraine has slacked off a little but it's still nagging. It didn't help that I bashed myself in the nose.

:lmao::lmao::lmao:

That's so funny! I get tickled at my Mama because she'll go to the store and come back and say "this little old lady was....." I guess it's good that she doesn't think 76 is a little old lady.

John told me to go with Mama when she buys her clothes for the trip. He wants me to check them out first.

John and I were commenting on the laundry detergent last night. It doesn't have a real fragrance to it but it sure does get the clothes clean.

Glad that I was able to give you a good laugh. Everybody needs a good chuckle now and then.

I hate migraines. It's been a while since I've had one but this one was a doozie and it is still lingering.

The wait on the phones was ridiculous in my opinion. The guy just super slooooooow!

I love getting good deals on clothes. A dollar saved is a another Disney dollar!

I can't wait to get Mama to the luau. We had such a good time there last August. Hopefully, she'll like it.

I will be so glad when the lingering effects of the migraine are gone. It's enough to give me another migraine.:headache:

I am really excited about the Dis meet too. I've never been to one.

Your kids probably think we are the nuttiest people on the planet and will run in the other direction when they see us at the meet.:lmao:

I got a call at lunch and it was Lacey. She sounded really tired and started talking but Jesse said "give me the phone". That scared me. The first thing he said was "first off Lacey's okay". But, as we got to talking, I got more scared. Lacey didn't show up for her class today and when Jesse asked where she was, some of the girls said she was asleep and some said that she said she was skipping class today. Jesse got worried and left the college and went to the apartment to check on her.

When he got there, she was either on the floor or on the bed (I can't remember because I was upset). He said she wasn't convulsing or shaking but was disoriented. He tried to get her to stand up and she said she was too weak. He sat down with her and held on to her and he said she was limp feeling and a little shaky but not convulsing. (John has epilepsy and the thought of a seizure scares the pee waddling doo doo out of me). She asked him where she was and what had happened. He told her and then called the paramedics. They came and checked her vitals and her blood sugars. Everything was fine. They advised her to go to the doctor and get some blood work done.

After talking with Jesse, I got back on the phone with Lacey. She sounded really tired. She said her legs were a bit shaky but she wasn't disoriented any more. She said that they didn't eat well when they were gone to Tennessee last week and that they didn't get much sleep either. I'm hoping and praying that it has something to do with that.

One of the ladies in the church is a nurse (at a dentist office but she knows people in the little town) and made some calls. Lacey is supposed to go to the doctor at 10:30 a.m. tomorrow. I told her to ask them to do blood work. When I was her age, I was anemic and wonder if that may be one of the things wrong with Lacey.

Please keep Lacey in your prayers!

My mom spent the weekend in Lafayette and said that her friend and family made a 6X receipe of detergent...they added a bottle of DOWNEY to it to add a scent...she is suppose to let her know what they think of it next month...I have also heard of just addind an oil scent like lavender or vanilla

I hope she is just overly tired or something simple like her iron being low. Keep us posted! both Lacey and all of you are in my prayers!

I'm keeping Lacey in my paryers I know how worried you are. River has had a virus with a fever since Saturday. Let us know about Lacey as soon as you can.

Goodness, I know you are worried about Lacey. It is tough because she is so far away and you can't be there to take care of her yourself. I will keep her in my prayers, and hope to hear good news. Sorry about your migraine, but glad you got to enjoy the beautiful weather a little bit. I spent parts of the last four days trying to get my flower beds and pots of plants fixed up, and I think I am mostly done. I even have four tomato plants in pots and one in the bed. Now I just have to hope we don't get one last freeze!

Lacey is in my prayers. I know you are crazy with worry. Keep us updated on what she finds out. I'm sure it is nothing though, prolly just worn out from the trip and not eating well.

That must have been one scary call!!! :scared1: I will be hoping & praying that everything will be fine with Lacey. That is great that Jesse is so attentive & there for her. Please keep us posted when you can.

Lisa, I've been out of the loop for awhile and just read your last couple of pages. I'm praying that all is okay with Lacey, and will anxiously be awaiting word from you. I'm here for you, friend...and email me any time you want.

I know you must be so worried about Lacey, especially since you are not able to be right there with her. Sounds like she's got a good one, though! :goodvibes I'm thinking about you guys today & I'll keep Lacey in my prayers.
