I've recently booked a studio for 3 nights at AKV-CL in Nov. Our group usually consists of my family of four plus my mom. So five in a studio is ok because of my sons age. This year he turns three in Sept. The first part of our stay I hope to book at PVB when my 7 month hits. My mom will likely be flying down to join us for that (this is different bc she usually drives down with us and stays the entire trip) so my question is this, if my mom doesn't fly home early and joins us for the remainder of our stay at AKV, how would they know? I'm not going to change the res until I know for sure and if I book poly all seven nights than there's no trouble but we like split stays and I enjoy a few nights at CL. I know in the future we'll be booking 1 bdrm but I'm curious if anyone has had a similar situation? I'm an honest person and will definitely be buying DS an AP, but what difference does 1.5 months make? I hope I'm not blasted too much for this, as I was hesitant to even ask. Thanks in advance.

The difference 1.5 months makes is in the fire code, among other things.

They probably won't know and likely wouldn't kick you out but to do so purposefully and knowing it's in violation would be dishonest. Why not try to get a studio (? value) that's not concierge for her. The other issue is that CL is more involved in the group specifics so maybe go to a 1 BR non Concierge for this trip or for part of the trip.

That's exactly what I was thinking. Not that I would advocate trying to circumvent the occupancy rules but I would really think doing it on a CL floor would be especially risky. There would be more cast member interaction than a regular room and use of the Lounge and amenities is restricted to those on the reservation so a much higher risk of being caught and possibly kicked out.

I completely agree with all comments! I was just curious. I just stayed AKL-CL last weekend and the CM said, "we don't monitor who come up here." I have also read trip reports on this board where those staying CL give a MB to family members staying non-CL, or a person staying at a value was given CL access her entire stay, but that's besides the point. I'm honest and appreciate the 3 year WDW allowed DS to be a "free" guest! I guess I'm just sad that I may need to give up my CL-studio at some point, which would be fine by my husband . Thanks all.
