On 2/4 we had reservations at CRT for dinner. My 4 yo GD was dressing as Cinderella and begged my 28 yo niece to dress up with her. (My niece had purchased an adult Cinderella outfit from Disney for Halloween.) My niece dressed up and the two of them together were absolutely adorable. When we got to security my niece was told that she would not be permitted to enter the park dressed as Cinderella. We were stunned and embarrassed. We explained that we had ADRs for CRT and wouldn't have time to return to our resort to change. The guard was most unpleasant but did call his supervisor. The supervisor escorted us to the Emporium and nicely but strongly insisted that we purchase an outfit for my niece. We complied and when we went to the cashier we were informed that her new outfit was "on the house".
So, a bit of Disney magic came our way after all!! I wish that they would let people know that this is not allowed. We would never have agreed to having my niece dress as Cinderella if we had known that it would be a problem.
