I spent the morning online at Disney checking out the prices for our trip next year. We are going to do a Gathering and I am in charge of the planning. This morning when I got on I was able to get all the package info for 2007

If DisNeph goes to school in the same district YOU live.. he's going back in August too (my DD goes to school in your district). The 28th is the first day. But, it's only a 4 day week since they have off Friday and Monday (at least DD does).

Where is it you teach? Down here they start school in August and get out right about the same time but we don't have the same holidays as you (only 3 days for Thanksgiving, 2 weeks for Christmas, 3 days for Mardi Gras, 1 week for Spring Break which is always at Easter.

Where is it you teach? Down here they start school in August and get out right about the same time but we don't have the same holidays as you (only 3 days for Thanksgiving, 2 weeks for Christmas, 3 days for Mardi Gras, 1 week for Spring Break which is always at Easter.

I teach in Alabama.
('Nuff said. )

The good news is that I teach in a private school, so we can kind of make our own rules about how many days we have to attend.
Public schools go 180 days, and this year my school is only going 173. (I have 170 days of curriculum, so that totally works for me!!)

We're booking our package through AAA, and although we've already got our room and air package booked, we get to add our park tickets tomorrow. Makes it seem more real, doesn't it?? (Although I'm soooo not happy about the price increase!! )

We won't actually be booking just yet (have to get this years trips out of the way first). But I was told to find out asap so that we can all start planning and saving (there will be about 17 of us if everyone can go)

Actually, the really, really cool part of the school is that the students in K-2 get homeschooled on M/W, so I only teach on T/Th/F. Also...I only have 9 students this year!!
Now, it is important to note that I don't get paid squat...

You get Mardi Gras!!! We get 1 week for Christmas, 1 week for Easter, 3 days for Thanksgiving. I'm feeling severly jipped.
