I'll give you brief update on Cody.

Started another antibiotic today. Stitches to stay in another week. They aren't going to be fun to take out. I was thinking that I would do it but they aren't going to come out easy. We'll have the final result of tularemia test hopefully mid next week but we are treating for it just in case.

He survived today without a nap although he had the personality of a toddler tonight instead of his usual happy go lucky self. He did get some play time with a friend and rode bikes for about 15 minutes and then came home all pasty white looking.

We let him pick where he wanted to go for dinner and he chose the golden coral and ate a plate full of beef and fish. So glad to see him eating. Hopefully tomorrow will be an improvement also.

His Doc is probably preparing his journal article now and Cody is the talk of the medical community in 3 cities. He is famous unfortunately he is also infamous.

Well as much as I would like to stay up and read and catch up my bed is calling me. I wanted so much to have a beer last night and I was so tired that I was afraid to. So I'm going to turn in a little early for me tonight. I'll try to catch up with you all tomorrow.

Just remember "this too shall pass!" Hope Cody continues to improve & hoping your little pirate Brody comes back soon too.

Cyn and Theresa you must both be getting so excited that you can't stand it. I'm excited for you both. I made my final payment tonight so I'm starting to get excited again. Still a secret. Told Cody that it was too bad that he sick so much we didn't get to go on vacation but maybe we could start planning for next year. He would like to go to South Dakota. Can't wait to see the look on his face when we go.

Donald I don't think that I welcomed you (sorry). Come and play with us. I think everyone here is very nice.

Well went to a brand new home depot. Almost freaked out when all I saw was 2 sections of paint chips and no disney paint. However dh found it. Definately a different home depot. I cleaned them out of lgmhpc. They all won't know what hit them.

Well I'm going to go engage in some competitive uno. Going to have some game time with the Codster tonight.

He got to go to hockey picnic today and got some ice time. He skated for about an hour. Definately didn't have the energy or balance as before but did better than I thought. Was a little whiney though after. I usually have to drag him out of the rink and tonight he was dragging us away.

Have to log off for a bit. I have to go view a video the neighbor just brought over. They are having some issues with someone trying to terrorize them and they set up surveillence cameras. I am going to see about putting it onto DVD for them to take to the authorities. See you all in a bit.

Oh, YEAH I did!!

I'm thanking heaven for inlaws right now. Cody is going to be with grandparents another week while he gets healthy. That is about 4 weeks away from daycare. Brody is still in Denver living the high life. He has been to a rockies game, train museum, swimming daily, drive in, park each day and tomorrow he's going to water world. I'm sure he won't rub it in to his brother.

I am so glad some definite progress is happening with Cody. You must be relieved, too. I'll be so excited to hear how the boys react to the news of WDW. Yeah!

I *am* getting totally excited! My toe felt better today than it has since I broke it (Monday) and I'm hoping that I don't bang it on anything, etc. so it will continue to feel good. I was starting to get depressed about not being able to walk the parks, but as of this evening, I am able to walk almost normally, without any real pain and very little discomfort. Let's hope it's a trend that continues.

16 is almost the growing-out-of-the-teens stage! He's annoying, yes, but not nearly as much as he was when he was 14.

OK, remember that I haven't been to Disney yet and that Busch Gardens is much closer to here, But Kings Dominion IS the place for us! W really, really like it there! Maybe we can meet there one summer, when the money and Disney schedule is more together! *sigh* but the kids I have at home are on either side of yours, but if we can get Chip to go... his wheelchair gets us 1st ups on all rides, though that stinker won't do roller coasters! (but white water canyon is one of his favorites!)

That would be cool. We haven't been to KD for a while. DH has a cousin who works for Northrup Gruman & they do an employee's day in Oct. We usually go then when we go, but I would certainly like to go sometime just to meet. I've only been to BG once when I was 20. I've been to Norfolk a couple of times. My brother ended up there when he was still in the Navy after he left San Diego not sure how close you are to there. Someone on another thread (possibly the where are you from thread) said something about possibly having a meet for MD, DC, & VA-that would be cool too. DH & I aren't the riders, ds & dd1 are the riders! Of course dd2 likes the little ones.

He's a golden retriever. He loves to go to Geema's house. I even made a sign for on her gate that says "my granddog visits me sometimes so watch out for him" Everyone laughs at it.

Our dog Poppy is a Golden! He's wacko though. He likes to open the frig or the panty to eat so we have to keep a chair in front of them. Best part about him is he reminds me of Nana the dog from Peter Pan. Ever since we got him (almost 10 yrs old) when I put the kids out he goes too & he alerts us any time anyone comes near our yard. If you're out of the yard, he doesn't know ya, in the yard he's your pal though. Always felt good knowing he's helping watch the kids.
