I think it starts when the Tinker Bell movie is released. November maybe? I know I'm going to miss it next month, so I didn't really pay attention to the dates, it should be there when you're there in Dec though.

I also read (and saw the pics) about your babies. Glad their doing well. They sure do have pretty teeth! Tell them that Shadow and Trixie send their love from AL.

first thing's first.....an updated countdown!!!

we left off with ray and i on our way to the hub to take care of some unfinished business before heading over to the WL for lunch at whispering canyon. our ADR wasn't until 1:00 and it was only 11:15 at this point, but we thought they may be able to fit us in early as we were starting to get hungry. on the way we passed cinderella's fountain. i wanted a picture in front of it but they were cleaning it and the bottom was blocked off, so i just got a picture of it alone instead. i tried to get the crown on her head....can you see it?

the "unfinished business" i've been referring to is what has become a tradition for ray and i: our self-portraits with the statues! i don't know why but we always do this on our last day.

as we headed out i decided i needed to get a picture with roy and minnie as we had never stopped to take one before.

we headed down to the WL boat dock. i called anna while we waited on a boat and she said they were at the pool and were getting ready to go get some lunch at the artist's pallette and were having a blast!

we didn't wait long until our boat showed up. i wonder if i'd get sued if i had this air-brushed on the side of my car?

the boat ride to the WL was sooooooooooo nice and peaceful. there was only one other family with us on the boat. here are some pics from the ride.....

when we arrived i saw why they call this place the wilderness lodge....look at the size of that bird! this picture really doesn't show how big this guy was. i was glad he wasn't close to us!!!

as soon as the lodge came into view i was just taken! what a GORGEOUS place! i really fell in love with it and so did ray, as i figured he would. this is just right up his alley.

i just kept snapping pictures as we walked along towards the main lobby area......

WOW!!!

what a BEAUTIFUL place!

before we headed to WCC i ran to the ladies room and when i was headed towards the sinks i noticed the kid-sized sink area. that is so cool!

we headed to WCC for some lunch.....we were both pretty hungry!

at this point it was almost noon and our ADR wasn't until 1:00, but the hostess was glad to seat us early as the restaurant was almost completely empty.

this was the light next to our table....

we both ordered coke to drink and when our server returned she said, "this is the man-sized coke" before giving ray his drink. when she sat it down he had a HUGE mason jar full of coke. it was pretty funny!

for lunch ray got the pan-seared rainbrow trout and i got the buffalo bacon cheeseburger. i very rarely eat burgers and i was just in the mood for one that day! when ray got his food he sort of frowned because this doesn't look like something he'd eat, but he ended up enjoying it. he said he'd had better trout, but that it was decent. our server told him she'd finish what he didn't eat!

my burger was good but very filling! i ended up taking half of it back to the room with us.

the table that was next to us as we ate lunch had a little boy with a birthday, so he got to ride a horse around the restaurant with all the kids that were there. it was really cute!

we liked WCC but it's not a must-do for us. decent food, cool atmosphere. i know lots of people won't go here because they're scared of the teasing, but our server wasn't obnoxious about it. she just made a couple of funny comments. we don't like a lot of attention and we didn't ever feel uncomfortable.

after lunch we went to explore the gift shop.

ray cracks me up in these pictures! you'd think he was a 10-year-old little boy whose mom forced him to take the picture, but i swear it was voluntary!

we spent a few minutes in the shop but didn't buy anything before heading back out into the gorgeous lobby.

after admiring the place a little while longer, we headed to the bus stop to catch a ride to DTD marketplace and walk to our room. we saw this on the way....i hope to be seeing this more often some day!

and i want to stay in one of these for a christmas trip!

we found a bench and waited for a DTD bus......and waited.........and waited..........and waited!!!!!!!

we saw this pass as we waited....must've been some sort of tour.

after waiting about 30 minutes we decided to take the next park bus and then catch a bus at that park to SSR. the next one happened to be MK, so back to MK it was!

when we got there we waited another, i kid you not, 20 minutes for a bus to SSR. such a pain. i caught the monorail coming by....that's how bored i was.

meanwhile, back at SSR.....

anna, chris and luke decided to go have some lunch at the artist's pallette.

here's the inside in the eating area.....

luke got macaroni and cheese......yum!

anna and chris split some sort of asian wrap and they said it was really good too.

meanwhile.....dawn and ray are STILL waiting for a bus at MK.......

back to lunch at SSR.....

i forgot to take a picture of this and anna didn't.....so i'm stealing hers!

after lunch they headed back down to the pool. i called them from the bus that we finally caught and she told me where they were sitting. i had to go by the carriage house anyway to pick up the figurines i had bought at MK the day before, so we just got off at the carriage house stop instead of the congress park stop and we met up with them at the pool. luke's expression in this picture is like, "oh, god.....she's going to hug me AGAIN????"

i took some pics of luke playing in the fountain area. he wanted me to get in with him but i opted to just take pictures.

they stayed at the pool and we headed to get my figurines with no problem, then walked back to the room. we made a reptilian friend along the way....

i also got a phone call from winkers on the way to our room!!! she asked what time we'd be getting to the P&P party and i told her i was thinking around 5:00. she said they were too and we agreed to just call each other once we got there. yay.......i was gonna get to meet winkers and family....and flat jordan!!!

i know some of you wanted to see the figurines i bought the day before. well, here they are! i got them out when we got back to the room to make sure they weren't broken or anything. flat beana and flat mattica approved of my purchases!

so.....do you like them? i do! right now they're sitting on top of a cabinet in my dining room but one day i hope to put them in my son/daughter's room!

we got back to the room around 2:30 and i took a break - just relaxed for a little while. ray walked over to DTD to get some pressed pennies for his nephew that he'd forgotten to get the day before. it was nice to have a few minutes alone!

anna and company got back to the room around 3:30 and we all got ready to go to the pirate and princess party!!!! anna said luke had gotten a good nap at the pool after we'd seen them and he just woke up, so he was a little grumpy but that would soon pass.

This is a pretty picture. Very peaceful. I can easily picture myself on the boat enjoying this ride.

Trent's favorite resort is Wilderness Lodge. It will be the one he wants to stay at first when he's finished with school and has a good job. At Christmas, it is even more beautiful!

The water jet on the bum picture of Luke is cute. Almost every kid seems to love to do that!

Jill and I have looked at those kinds of figurines a jillion times, but we haven't bought any yet. We couldn't decide which one to buy, and I know once I buy the first one, I'll be a goner and want to buy a bunch more!
