Thailand in June; Croatia in August!

These are two places on our list. My husband and I almost tacked on several days in Croatia after our family trip to London and Scotland this May but decided to travel home with our college-age boys.

We just got back from a 3 night stay in Flagstaff from which we visited the Grand Canyon, Sedona, Antelope Canyon, and Horseshoe Bend. It was a great trip!

I'm going up for a couple of days to Sedona now that spring break season is over. Going to hit some moderate hikes and relax with the significant other. The cabin we rented has a fireplace, so we're doing smores in the evening. Just need some time to unwind.

I'm going back at the end of May and camping out in a tent for a different experience. Then, I'll be doing the more difficult hikes with my hiking club.

It's still a nice time of year before the heat rolls in.

The Jersey Shore, south of Atlantic City. Have some ideas for later in 2021/ early 2022 but family reasons will be the main deciding factor.

We already did Myrtle Beach in Feb and New Orleans in March.

Next up:

Wisconsin Dells (Wilderness) in April.

St. Augustine in May (adults only trip). We will be popping in MK for a day to use up some one-day tickets I had, but after that we will be done with Disney as long as they remain on the current trajectory.

Big east coast road trip in June, including Hersheypark.

2 weeks in California in July (San Diego and Orange County). My best friend lives in Orange County - typically we would go to DL for a least a couple days, but not this time! Will be doing Seaworld and Knott’s instead.

Hawaii in November.

We have so many good Disney memories, over 15 trip in my daughter’s first 8 years (she’s 10 now). I can still look back on those good trips with fondness, but they will not be getting another dime out of me unless something major changes.

Headed to Treasure Island, FL in July with my friend from work. First vacation without my kids. Our plan is to do nothing but sit on the beach or alongside the pool.

Trying Universal Orlando for the first time this May. We visit Branson a few times a year- once in the summer for Silver Dollar City and touristy things, another in the fall at a cabin we rent and visit Big Cedar Lodge and hike and relax. We also take weekend trips to St Louis to watch the Cardinals and visit some fun places with our kids.

We still love Disney but we are definitely priced out for the foreseeable future. We want to visit Alaska, D.C., and the Grand Canyon in the next 2-3 years.

Trying to figure out our summer plans, but waiting to see if our older son will have time to do a trip with us, as he's waiting word on a summer co-op job.

Planning on a 25th anniversary trip - possibly to Palm Springs, as we have Sheraton points we need to use up this year.

We will be doing Disney, but also going to St. Augustine Beach for a week this year.

Our WDW-skipping trip last month was good. Next, we’re staying at CCV and AKV, going to Seaworld and whatever floats our boat for a few days. (Might fit in some spots in New England before it.)

Fredericksburg, TX

It has grown so much. I remember when Fredricksburg was not a tourist attraction whatsoever and everything closed at 6pm.

Northern Michigan for five days in September, followed by four nights in NYC in October. No big plans for the summer. No Disney this year. Had a magical trip in November 2019 and I don’t think we can top it - especially these days.

St pete beach for a week in July, followed by an NCL cruise the following week outta canaveral. Dont know if I can handle all that booze and sun.

Haven’t been back to Disney since Jan 2020 (got our AP refunded when parks shut). Since then we’ve been to South Dakota, Wyoming, Las Vegas/ Grand Canyon, Arches National park, Washington, Cancun, and this year cruise down Mexican Riviera, upcoming Hawaii for 2 weeks. Will continue to do Universal in between trips (and of course for HHN!). Son has requested Disney for graduation trip in 2 years-but who’s to say it’s a domestic park?

Cedar Point, I’ve been trying to take a trip there for years and I’m determined to make it happen this summer.

If you plan on staying overnight, we found the Cedar Point Express to be worth it for the early admission and included parking when we went last year.

I'm not sure it's a vacation, but we are spending a week in Colorado in July, to scatter a friend's ashes and enjoy the scenery. We also have rented a cottage for two weeks, one block off the beach in southern Maine. I'm bitten by the Disney bug again, but DD and I went last August and had a pretty good time. I just can't wrap my head around all this Genie+ and ILL stuff, adding significant cost to an already-overpriced vacation (which to us no longer has the value for the money spent). If they didn't have almost $600 of our money on hold (tickets canceled in early 2020 due to covid) we'd probably have had our last WDW trip already.

Going away for a weekend with my older son to a casino/resort a few hours away this weekend, then to Steamboat Springs with my wife and younger son in early June.

We’re spending them as we speak on a short cruise down the Pacific Coast and having such a lovely time that I’m going to book the same one again for us in September. On that trip we may add on a day at Disneyland because it’s been so long, just to see if it still holds any appeal. One day at DLR may well cost as much as the cruise fare. We shall see.

To be honest, I am looking forward to exploring CA a bit more than DL….

Lately, travel to new places, international and domestic is more affordable and exciting to me than going back to any Disney park for the retread and price hikes.

Disney parks will be a weekend thing for us from now on.
