~Our March 'Just Engaged',freezing,and full of surprises trip~Updated 6/23 p.76

I am not a big AI fan.... who am I kidding I hate it. LOL How awesome to get that FP from the CM! How sweet!

Kona sushi.. I haven't tried it... yet. Sounds like you really liked it!

While you were watching Wishes, we were already at our house in CT. :sad1::sad1:

What a great ending to a great day!!!!! Looking forward to Epcot!

He knew a good thing when he saw it...
and he seems like a pretty good deal for you, too.
I think you guys will have a long and happy life together and add some more babies to our DIS family in a few years. :)

Aw, MeMom. You are so nice. :) We had the best time meeting up with you guys.

I love the Poly smell too! And the smell of the water on any of the boat rides (Pirates, Splash, etc.). It is just so distinctly Disney. :cloud9: Great update!! Those drinks you had sound SO yummy!

So the real question is..what the heck do they put in the water on rides?!

They were really yummy!

LOL Yeah Fiance isn't too thrilled with it either. But, he went for my sake.

Oh I love the sushi at Kona! :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

Aw man, I can't believe your trip went by so fast.

Great updates - DHS was a great day for you and your sweetie! Lots of pixie dust falling on y'all that day!

Love the update,Tink, and the pics as well! I get such a "longing"
to go back to the magic when reading everyones fabulous TR'S.
You must be so excited knowing it won't be long before your back
to the "Happy Place"......July will be here before you know it!!!:goodvibes

Yes that is a good question, I have always wondered that! Rainforest Cafes smell the same way, so I like to go there for my "Disney Fix"

Hi, we're going from 3-17th July

That was so cool to get the fastpass from the cm as well as the free pizza, definitely the little things that make disney so special and different from any other holiday! :goodvibes

Gonna go check out those top 10 smells...my mum normally herds us around too fast to smell things  but hopefully me and DBF will have a slighly more relaxed pace!

I can smell Rainforest Cafe as I near it at the mall, and I totally 'pretend' I am in Disney World for a few minutes. I'm sure others just see me as a normal woman browsing for cute things to buy the granddaughters at RFC. Little do they know, I am a Disney nut picturing myself in Animal Kingdom or Downtown Disney for just a very few moments out here in Real World.

I'm very excited. TR's definitely help pass the time. And it's even better writing my own! I love sharing our trips.

Darn it, we'll just miss each other!

It was so cool, I agree!

I hope you do take your time this trip and look around at everything. It's amazing how much you can miss.

 I agree, RFC does have a smell too! When I smell RFC now, it reminds me of Nashville and our hippo meets.

I can't wait to do the Animation Academy with you guys! I think I told you how Chris says me and him need to practice to step up our game before we "go against" anyone else. I'm like "babe, it's not a competition!!!" :rotfl:

That totally cracks me up!! I love it!! I would FAIL that competition. I am just terrible at that whole drawing faint lines thing. I always press too hard!!

This year Disney/Pixar showed the roughcut of Toy Story 3 and let's just say there are parts that made grown men cry......

Oh my goodness, I'm going to bawl my eyes out and I CAN'T WAIT!!!! I'm beyond excited.

Now back to your tr!!

WHERE ON EARTH is the lever that gives you a "zap" on ToT?! I must find it!! Is it like a little shock like after you walk with socks on carpet or go down a slide? Hmm...I'm so curious now!! I will have to read that book and get a good idea and try to find it on my next trip!!

Also, I seriously had to laugh out loud at you being a "WDW dinosaur"! That's really funny. I was just realizing the other day that Landon is swiftly catching up to you. I realized he will have gone to WDW FOUR times before he is even 3!!! Isn't that bonkers? I was talking to a CM on the phone the other day (adding the dining plan!) and he wanted to add a celebration and I had totally forgot about first trips and he was like "What about the little guy, isn't it his first trip?" And I was like "No, actually!!" :rotfl2: YAY FOR WDW dinosaurs!! Of course, we will never really catch up to you because you will keep going and already got like 20 trips on us!! Not that that's a bad thing!! ;)

Can't wait for more girl!! I hope you had a good weekend!!

I don't know where that lever is! We couldn't find it! :headache:

Haha, yes...YAY FOR WDW DINOSAURS! :thumbsup2  That is crazy that Landon has been there 4 times before he's 3 already! But awesome!

I hope to have an update up tonight. :)

Dang...well you should try again your next trip and pass on where exactly to me! But if you don't find it again, I will attempt and tell you for next time!!

He hasn't been 4 times yet, but he will have been!! I'm so excited!!

Can't wait for the update tonight!! I hope you're having a good Monday!!

We will look harder next time! And we'll have more people to look with us! :)

I hate Mondays. The good thing though is that I only have 3 weeks left of class and then the fourth wek is finals!!

I was so far behind--but I finally got caught up! Great updates!! I loved reading along...

That's so neat that you saw people from back home on your DHS morning. It really is so crazy that it's such a small world. :) Oh goodness--you know that I love One Man's Dream too!! When we go to California (someday...) we're determined to go to the Walt Disney Museum! :goodvibes I love that pic of your reflection in the door too.

I absolutely love the drawing sessions too!!! How fun that you got to draw two pics. I'm going to tell my family (they're going in June) that they have to try it out.

And WOW--you all got SO many great surprises because of your buttons!! :woohoo: That's so neat. And how neat that you all had your own un-planned viewing of Wishes! It sounds like you've had a fantastic trip so far!

Glad you got caught up!

I would LOVE to see the Walt Disney Museum too!

The drawing sessions were a blast! We are for sure going to do that the week after my other family leave in July.

The buttons are magic that's for sure! :)

I'm hoping to do an update tonight after class!

I was using your trip report to force myself to do lesson plans for tomorrow. Of course, now I'm done with all the installments you wrote while I was away on my trip, and I'm at a loss as to what I should do. I'm lost!!!

Was it possible to hear Wishes from where you were outside the gates? That might have been a better place to watch it than directly off the bridge to Tomorrowland under the TTA! We missed about 75% of it!

Haha, I am typing an update as we speak!

We could definitely hear Wishes! I have watched Wishes from that spot under the TTA and it is hard to see everything. The view we had was straight on.

Day 4: March 16, 2010

The alarm went off at 6 am, but of course, I was up about 5 minutes before it went off! We were excited to get up this day because it was our first TS breakfast in a LONG time. Since becoming DVC members, we just have gotten used to making breakfast in our kitchen.

We got ready and made our way to the bus stop. It was chilly out and it was still dark out! Now that is something I haven’t seen in WDW in a LONG time. We used to get to the parks that early when I was really little, but I obviously don’t remember that much. We made our way around the corner and saw the MK bus sitting there! We started power walking (HA!) and made it on the bus. The driver got out of his seat and walked into the aisle. He got everyone’s attention and asked if any of us were riding to the MK to hop on the monorail for a breakfast ADR. We raised our hands and a few other families did as well. He then went into this long speech about how he doesn’t know if the monorails are running yet and we better expect to be late to our ADR. Fiancé and I looked at each other like “What the heck is he talking about?!” We were plenty early and I knew that the monorails were in fact running by that time. We just giggled to ourselves as he made his way back to his seat. I could see some of the parents of the other families freaking out though. I felt bad for them and their unnecessary anxiety.

Soon, we were pulling up to the MK and the sun was finally starting to come up. As we were walking, we realized that there was hardly anyone there yet! I figured there would have been more people there lining up for the opening show. This definitely encouraged us to plan to see the opening show on Thursday! I also have to say it was weird walking right past the entrance and up to the monorail ramp!

We were the first ones up there and found a spot to wait. While I saved our spots as other families started coming up, Fiancé took pics. Everything was so quiet and peaceful:

And soon, we were pulling up to the Poly. We got off and walked into the Great Ceremonial House. First, we had to say hi to our table from last night. HA. Yes, I get attached to things like that.

**Continued in the next post**

**Continued from previous**

We were about half an hour early, so we decided to look around the gift shops. We started with the one on the 2nd floor. I knew I still needed to find some postcards, so Fiancé helped me picked one out for Brookie (belongs to BrooklynnsMommy and MeMom) and Kristen. For Brookie, I got a Tinkerbell and her friends and for Kristen, I got one that has a pic of all 4 parks. Neither of them knew I was sending them! The CM who checked us out was oohing and ahhing over our ‘Just Engaged’ buttons. She thought it was so cool that a couple our age would want to celebrate in WDW. Well DUH! Where else would I?! Okay, I didn’t say that to her, but I was thinking it.

With postcards in hand, we headed downstairs to the 1st floor gift shop. We LOVE this gift shop. I found the shirt that I had seen on Sunday at the MK and decided to buy it. Y’all will just have to wait to see it until Kristen and I’s July TR! Ha. I also saw some really cute swimming trunks that we just might have to get for the little guy once we get there. I didn’t want to buy them now because I was unsure of how much he’ll grow by then.

While I was buying my shirt, Fiancé walks up with a coconut. I said to him, “What the heck are you doing with that?!” He said, “I’m sending it to my mom and dad.” I laughed and said, “How are you going to send that through the mail?!” Then, he shows me that the coconut is already stamped and ready to be mailed! All we have to do is write his parents’ address and away it goes! So, of course, we had to get that too! The CM gave us a permanent marker and I tried as best as I could to write the address. Let me just say, it is hard to write on a coconut! Never did I think I would ever say that sentence. HAHA.

After we gave the CM our coconut to have sent out, it was time to head to Kona for our ADR!! I literally ran up the stairs. Fiancé made fun of me. I was excited to finally have some Tonga Toast! We were seated right away. Our CM came up and took our drink orders. He was seriously the nicest guy ever!! He helped us out since we weren’t entirely sure what we can get with the dining plan. While he was getting our drinks, we took pics of our view:

And soon our drinks came! We shared the pressed coffee pot and both had orange juice as well. Here’s a pic of the amazing pressed pot. I really recommend it!:

In no time, our main meals were on the table. Of course, I had the Tonga Toast. Fiancé had the two eggs your way, which is served with home fried potatoes, a biscuit, and choice of ham/bacon/sausage. I took one bite of my Tonga Toast and heard the angels sing. HAHA. It was SO good. I ate just about all of it!

After we had to be rolled out of there (HA!), we made our way downstairs. I wanted to sit on a bench by the lobby waterfall to write my postcards so they could be sent out. Fiancé took the camera and took pics to pass the time:

I had no idea he was taking this! HA:

Fiancé made his way back over to me and I finished up the postcards. We handed them in at the front desk to get sent out. Then, we made our way outside to walk to the TTC.

Love this guy:

We headed out the doors and started on the path towards the TTC. We were excited to start our park day!
