It actually seems to be getting pretty popular over there, despite the extortionate prices. They have just built Atlantis there and there are rumours they are building a Seaworld and Universal there too.

OK, do I credit for guessing Bora Bora/Tahiti earlier in your top 10? LOL! Add this one in addition to Moorea that I would love to visit - the water bungalows are incredible!

Yes why not :thumbsup2. I must admit I have never heard of Moorea until Melissa mentioned it yesterday, what does it look like there?

The South pacific looks great doens't it!? I would happily go to Bora Bora, Moorea, Fiji, or Tahiti. I ove the water there and those over water bungalows are awesome! I would love to go there someday. Your dining pics from Boatwrights looks great. Are you all ready to make your ADR's? We decided Hoop dee Doo is a must do for this trip. Not sure where we will stay yet on the night we arrive. SSR would be great if we didn't have ot move for sure and we could get settled. Then it would be worth spending the extra. I thought about booking CBR for a night but DS won't want to leave so that is out. It will either be a value resort or POR I think.

How weird is that :confused3. I would love to go to Tahiti too, don't really know anything about Moorea but I am guessing its gorgeous too. The Maldives look great but the Polynesian islands look more interesting and cultural. The water bungalows look so amazing, especially the ones with glass floors and private pools :cloud9:

I used to have an island theme to my room and I had huge pictures and posters of Tahiti and Bora Bora, including the water bungalows. How AMAZING do those look?! Getting to stay right out in the ocean, especially with a glass floor, would be an unbelievable experience :thumbsup2

From what I have read it is a bit more natural - I dunno - they all look gorgeous to me!

Excerpt from the Moorea Visitors Bureau
The Moorea Visitors Bureau welcomes you to the island of Moorea, the second touristic destination in French Polynesia after the island of Tahiti. The Moorea Visitors Bureau website offers our visitors the best resource for Moorea information. Moorea is actually spelled Mo'orea, and is located in the Islands of Society in French Polynesia. Moorea is one of the world's most exotic islands and has many things to do and see.

Moorea, which has often been likened to James Michener's mythological island of Bali Ha'i, is a small island jewel of the vast ocean that can be perceived in one loving glance.

Rising like a shark's jaw from the sea, Moorea's jagged profile beckons. To her sister island of Tahiti, Moorea presents a fresh young face in the pink glow of dawn. In late afternoon she becomes even more enticing and inviting, crowned with a majestic headdress of fleecy cumulus clouds of snowy white, upon which the infinite colors of the sunset play.

Heed the call. Reach out and touch Moorea. You will soon discover that Moorea has also touched you, filling you with peace, delight and a wonderful sense of happiness.

Walk barefoot on a clean, quiet beach. Bask in the warm caress of the sun. Swim in crystalline lagoons. Watch a sunset that dips the world in bronze. Wrap your body in a colorful pareo. Put a fragrant blossom behind your ear. Learn to dance the tamure. Sleep in a palm-thatched hut. And waken to the wonder of dawn in the tropics.

Yes we have our ADR's ready. We have booked the first 10 days worth and luckily got everything we wanted at the time we wanted or 5-10 minutes out. Hopefully we will be as lucky with the rest of them.

Yes CBR would be great but totally understand about Thomas, you would get major tears I think. POR may be the best bet as the values are very kid friendly and again you may not be able to get Thomas away. POR is more adult, plus its close to DTD for your move to SSR.

Ooo your room theme sounded cool. I would love to wake up every day with pictures like that, great way to start the day. Even better would to wake up in one of those water bungalows, with fishies swimming beneath you. They have massage tables that have glass floors below too, that must be so cool.

From what I have read it is a bit more natural - I dunno - they all look gorgeous to me!
That does sound really good, I will check out that link now :thumbsup2

Amazing destinations!! Bora bora is the one that calls me (and Greece)! I can't imagine being there and soaking it all in. I love the idea of the glass floor in the bungalow... that would be very fun.... hummm, I do wonder if there are any snorklers that swim under??? :confused3 Now they might get an eye full!! :rotfl:

So now that your list is done what are you going to do to pass the time until the best vacation ever???

He he that would be funny. Luckily though I think the water is only quite shallow under the bungalows so probably not deep enough to snorkel. I have seen some amazing water bungalows including ones with their own glass bottom pools, they are amazing.

I am sure I will think of something to pass the time :thumbsup2

Where Do YOU Go When Your Not at Disney...

So I have told you all my Top 10 Holiday destinations, what I would like to do there and why I chose them. I would now love to hear some of your Top 10 destinations, and what interests you about going there. It can be anywhere in the world and for any reason. Come and join in everyone :thumbsup2

I've been to one of those places, St. Lucia! It was only on a cruise though so I was only there for like one day but it was beautifullllll. We spent the day on the beach and we rented jetskis, the only problem was the wind. I was scared to go to fast because I was scared the wind was going to throw me off! haha Besides Disney I think my next major vacation will be another cruise, its just the best vacation you'll ever go on (besides WDW of course).

I know what you mean about the jet ski's. We hired some at Disney behind the Contemporary and Nick loved it, going as fast as he could, whereas I was being really cautious. I had never been on one before for a start, plus it was really the windy, the waves were pretty big. And I have heard a few horror stories about them so was a bit worried. I think I would be worse in the sea as you don't know whats in there :scared:

I would love to go on a cruise, they look great. We are hoping to do a Disney one soonish but Nick isn't as keen as me, plus we didn't want to cut into our park time. What are your other 'Must see' destinations then?

There are SOOOOO many places I'd love to visit. I've been wanting to go to New York for a while and my family's finally going there in March...and we'll be there over my birthday! :cool1: I will definitely be wanting to go to the World of Disney store while we're there, haha!

I also really want to go to Canada. Especially next year with the Olympics in Vancouver. And while I'm talking Olympics, maybe London in 2012! Australia might be cool too...really I just want to travel somewhere outside the country for once! LOL.

Oh brilliant, you are going to have a great birthday in NY. I really want to go there too, so hopefully soon. Definitely check out the World of Disney store, it looks so cool. I'm so glad you get to go.

I want to go to Canada loads too, it looks so beautiful. Hopefully we will get to see some of the Olympics in 2012, its so cool its here. We planned to go to China for the 2008 olympics if we didn't get it for 2012, but we did so its made it slightly easier.

Wanted to stop by and say hello! :wave2:

Hello :wave2:. Have you got any places you really want to go?

I wouldn't mind hanging out in your neck of the woods. :goodvibes We usually stick to WDW and the Mtns right now. When the kids get older we'll do the cross country and around the World thing. Last time we left this country...hmmm...it was in 2001 I believe. We went to the Bahamas. It's been a while.

Your so lucky being so close to both Disney and the mountains, you don't really need to go anywhere else. I really want to visit the mountains in the fall and at Christmas, it looks so beautiful. Is there anywhere your kids really want to go?
