Our Magical WDW Adventure ~ 23 Days of Fun, Food, Cocktails... London Trip 2/8

Geez...I go away for a bit down to the World and what is this about going to California? And all of this snow? I better do some catching up!! We had a great trip (Jan 12-17th, stayed at Saratoga Springs Resort.)
Weather was chilly (although it was -9 at home) and in the 50's, 60's and 70's. Crowds were really low and we had a lot of walk ons which I never get to experience in August or at the times that I go.
We met Cinderell's stepsisters and stepmother! Never saw them before....also saw Devine twice in one day...never saw her before either! I have pictures posted on my facebook but I didn't do a trip report or anything on here....
Oh yeah...also ate at the new TRex restaurant in Downtown Disney...was good..food better than Rainforest (but very similar) and the atmosphere was really neat...there was a meteor shower every 30 min or so...v. cool! Take care!!! I have to get to reading and see what you are up to now!!:lmao:

Do you know I was thinking the other day that I hadn't heard from you in a while. I completely forgot about your trip, I'm so sorry. But it sounds like you had an amazing time. We went in January in 2005 and the crowds were the best. The weather wasn't too bad for us as it was nice to just get away from the cold, but the nights were pretty chilly. T-Rex sounds great, I really want to go there. I don't think we will have time to eat there, which is a shame, but will definitely go in for a cocktail or something. And I will have to remember to look out for Devine, we have never seen her either. Did Brielle have a great time?

If its the Hollywood sign I think it is its not actually a proper sign. Its this really cool thing that you place your camera in, take the picture and the sign appears in the background somehow. Its pretty cool.

We love SW, its amazing. Its so relaxed and there is so many beautiful creatures and landscape there. The killer whales are just so amazing. Its Sophie's favorite place, she wants to be a whale trainer there.

That would be a perfect place for her to work then. We have a great Marine Biology school here! Ienjoyed looking at the sea animals but I just didn't like the park too much. I owe it another try.

Okay...probably was a photo op thing then. :goodvibes I was like I never saw that before! :rotfl: They should do the place like that though. It looks awesome that way!

We might have to meet up in the Mountains! Is your little sister going to be there too? It's only about 8 hours from here.....6 hours tomour house but ya'll are staying closer to Dollywood right? It's not far as the crow flies but driving there takes a bit longer. :goodvibes

Yes she said she either wants to be a killer whale trainer, safari keeper, or marine biologist, which is probably the most realistic. Me and her went to Georgia Aquarium and I took her on a backstage tour and they were amazed how much she knew and how interested she was. She even asked what she needed to do to be a marine biologist, the man thought she was mad for her age.

Yes we will be staying in Pigeon Forge again, either in the same cabin as last year or one the same. It was such a lovely cabin and a great location and view, we can't wait to stay there again. And we plan to have much more time this trip, so will hopefully get to see more. Yes Sophie's coming, and yes meeting would be good :thumbsup2

Well I just have to say that I love looking at all your pictures of all the resorts because it just gets me so exciteddddddd :cool1:

Make sure to post some pictures of the snow, I wanna see!

:rotfl: :rotfl: Actually this trip it was Brielle's older sister Kaila!! We had a great time but Brielle was bummed that I got to see the stepsisters and Devine without her! Brielle is going again in October for MNSSHP (first time for both of us) so she is counting down....
Yes...do check out Trex for a drink...it has a cool vibe and the blue room (ice age room?) is really cool....we did go to Sci-Fi too...So much fun! I didn't have any ADR's and we just walked up and right in where ever we wanted!
P.S. I did go to Atlantis a few years ago....what a trip! And yes I did that slide! 2 times::yes:: !! Very expensive though, but wow what great food!

Oh ok, your nieces are so lucky to have such a lovely aunt :goodvibes. I am so jealous you are going to MNSSHP, it looks so good and the Christmas decorations look beautiful. When we went in January we didn't have any reservations either. We just walked up or made them the day before or that day. We had no problem apart from CRT, but then what can you expect when it books up 180 days out.

Atlantis looks great, I bet you had a blast. I cannot wait to go one day. Glad your caught up :thumbsup2

So you got loads of snow?? Very fun! We got a dusting today, the trees and bushes were so beautiful, it was like someone had thrown powered sugar everywhere! It has all blown off now but it was pretty. :) Ok, the big question is... what is a snow cat? You said that Nick was out making a snowman and snow cat. :confused3
I am with you, I would love to stay at each resort! I am still holding out for the Beach Club and the Polynesian. ::yes::
Looking forward to your snow pictures! :thumbsup2

Guess what everyone, "WE HAVE SNOW", and not just a little bit, loads of the stuff :cheer2:.

It started yesterday and by the evening it was beginning to lay quite a lot, still snowing by the time we went to bed. By the time we got up today there was loads, and its still going. Apparently London and the South-East are getting the most at the moment (thats us), and its actually caused a lot of problems, particularly in London. Most transport in London including planes, trains and buses have stopped altogether so a lot of people can't get to work and hospitals are struggling with record numbers of calls. Apparently its the worst we have had in something like 18 years. I can't believe a little bit of snow would cause such trouble :confused3.

On the plus side Nick and I have been having fun, making snowmen and doing snow angels (ok that was just me, Nick looked at me like I was totally mad ). I will post some pictures in a bit.

Have fun and stay safe! It's snowing AGAIN here right now... I'm so done with the snow!

Snow, Snow, Snow

As promised here are some pictures of the snow we had yesterday. It has stopped now and started to melt and turn to slush, which is not nice, but it was fun whilst it lasted.

After we made the snowman Nick wanted to make a cat made of snow, so we named it a Snow Cat :cat:

I hope you get to stay at the Poly and Beach Club soon, they are both such beautiful resorts. I cannot wait to stay at the Poly again, I still can't believe we are

I can imagine. We only have it occasionally so its a treat for us. Although it has started to get slushy already which isn't nice.

Disney Dreams...
... Part 2

Disney Dream Number Two...

WDWresort.jpg

My second 'Disney Dream' is to stay at each and every Walt Disney World resort.

Mine too...

I have been fortunate enough to stay at 6 different (7 if you count the Swan...that counts, right?? If it doesn't I would stay there again just for the BEDS! :faint: And the fluffy blankets!! :offtopic: )

Anyway, with my travelling friend, our next stop is POFQ for Mods and maybe WL if we can find a good deal.

I DO love PC for my value choice. I have stayed at ASMo and thought it was good too, but PC was a lot of fun!

:lmao: It actually looks like a person, I love it :thumbsup2

I think he did it like that as I was telling him about an episode of the Gilmore Girls I watched the other day when we were making it. In it they have a snowman competition and this one bloke makes his snowman look like a proper gentleman in a top hat bent over with a cane, it was amazing. Next thing I turn around and he had done that :lmao:

Yes the Swan can count. I love the Sheraton beds, they are so good aren't they. The Loew's ones in RPR were so, so good to, I didn't want to get up . POFQ is a lovely resort, very quiet and laid back but very pretty too. I will have to check out Pop as well one day, maybe when I have kids ;)

Great snow pics! We are having snow here right now! So far it is the pretty snow - I will have to trek out and take pics later.

No, the kids have never been to DL so next year will hopefully be there first trip.

Oh, your honeymoon would be an excellent time to hit all the parks at once. You can call it "Disneymooning around the world" Hey, write to Disney maybe they will film you and sponsor the trip!

Yes take some pictures so I can see. I love snow pictures.

I hope you get to take your kids to DL next year, that would be so great. And the 'Disneymooning around the world' idea would be great :thumbsup2

I love your snow pictures. You got more snow than we did. Maybe we got about and inch or less. I love your snowperson too, very creative.

Nick has named it Dave :lmao:. Have you had more snow before or was that all you have had this season?
