Our little thread of BIG Resort changes*OLD THREAD link on last pg. to new thread!

Jen forgive me but I can't remember when you are going .... the price of getting older or maybe too many nights packing and up with the puppy! :rotfl2: Will it be warm enough to swim? What about the hot tubs? Would you use them? I have never stayed at any of the All Stars but love POP. I really like POR ,,,, it is just such a beautiful resort .... early morning walks are the best. But where ever you stay you're going to have fun!!!

Thanks everyone for the pixie dust for me DD. She's had a couple of hard years so moving back to her home town should be good for her. Dropped the car off at Midas this morning ... hope it doesn't cost too much!! Oh well it's only money ..... but that's Disney money!!! :scared1:

Good morning, ladies! :grouphug:

Jen: I'm of no help whatsoever... because we kinda really LOVED POR! I have a feeling this won't be your last switcheroonie. ;) The party sounds so nice. We missed out on the party last year but got to see the lights at DHS. It was one of the main reasons we're going back again this January. (Well, I hope we get to go back... got the plane tickets anyway. Cart before the horse and all that jazz.)

Sheila: Oh that is a gorgeous change! :worship: Of course, I'm a wee bit biased toward the Epcot resorts. And since you'll be so close for F&W even BETTER! Are you going to stick with that or go with the deluxe if it becomes available? I hope Bella never gets up close and personal with one of those cute "kitties." Our mutt's face took the brunt of the spray so I'm having a heck of a time trying to get her to smell halfway normal again. :rotfl: (And to top it off, she's wearing a cone now because she's been scratching her ears. Pitiful creature. ... but almost-free entertainment, I guess. )

Linda: Hope those brakes are back to new now.

Trish: Your DD18 getting some snuggle time gives me hope! Mine doesn't even bother to turn around when she's headed off to school / class. (I swear I get more teared-up than I've ever seen her.)

~~==================~~

Welp, I think I spoke too soon about the kiddo and I being on an even keel. She and I had an "incident" over ... of all things ... a tank top. Seriously. So trivial. She just wouldn't calm down. Repeated trips to her room, losing privileges, money off her chore chart and sitting in the naughty chair before she caught on. Eesh. One day at a time, that phrase was coined for parents. I won't even say anything about how today's going because I don't want to jinx anything. :rotfl:

Just keep telling yourself .... spirited daughter means strong woman ... been there! :thumbsup2

Your so right trish It occurred to me just a little while ago that since I switched to BWI I need to cancel the Cabana I reserved at the Poly, so there is $117 of the extra $208 upgradeing to CL cost me.

:goodvibes Hi Sheila!!! YAY! for some reason I had a feeling you'd always switch to BWI....I know it's Bob's favourite, sounds like a great switch to me! I can't wait to hear how you like it, as it is still on my shortlist of places to stay next time I go!
YAY for the refund of the Cabana too, that takes a nice chunk off the club level balance owed -- great switch! :)

Hey girls. I've been busy trying to book something for my October trip, but that stupid MDE website is enough to drive me to drink :headache:

So far, I find myself triple booked and unsure what to keep. I was reeeeeally planning on being good and booking POR, but at only 5% it is annoying me.

So, I have all 4 nights at POR booked through Travelocity, a YC/POR split booked with CRO and a YC/Poly split booked through Orbitz.

The YC/Poly split is only $500 more then POR and it that is with the YC portion being CL. I think we all know what I'll be keeping :rolleyes1

Sheila - I love the change. An Epcot Resort for F&W sounds perfect!!! Plus CL too!!! :yay::yay::yay:

Miss - I hope you have a better day with Miss M today  Was it a full moon yesterday? I had a house full of crazy kids here myself yesterday

Kook and Koh - I hope you are having a blast! Sorry I missed checking in with you before you left :flower3:

Janet - Safe travels tomorrow! I enjoyed reading about Sam's adventures. Great job keeping it together while she was off with her BFF! :worship:

jenny - So sorry about DDs dental troubles. Any more resort thoughts? 2 value rooms would be a good option. Saving money is good too. Maybe I should price that myself. But then that means calling, which I hate even more than using the website.

pas - Sounds like you have been having a great vacay! We love Williamsburg too! :cool1:

Hi to everybody I missed. I need to get busy, I haven't even started packing yet.

Hey .... if one goes we all go!!! :cool1:

I'm in! :thumbsup2

So.... Be Our Guest. Anybody done lunch and dinner and have a preference? We were lucky enough to get a FP+ for lunch on 8/9, but now I just got a dinner ADR for the same day. I should cancel one I think, but I'm not sure which one...

Anybody wanna weigh in? :confused3

Can I come too!!:boat:

Hey .... if one goes we all go!!! :cool1:

Oh yeah. :grouphug: Jen, I think we'll need a bigger boat! Our own RC Island. Wonder which one we should take over? :thumbsup2 We need a direct line to CRO on this island.

I_Heart: It must've been a full moon. Ooooooo... all those ressies. You've got me to thinking now. :rolleyes1 (Uh-oh, right?) Is that split still current for you, Poly/BC/AKV? Get to packin', you! :worship:

So, with I_Heart's reservations and Sheila's swap to BWI-CL, I'm wondering if anything would beat a BB offer? Probably not, right? Maybe I should make a call? :rolleyes1

Hmm. The lunch menu looks very appealing to me but after seeing those lines I'm glad we got a dinner ADR. Lunch without having to wait in that atrocious line sounds like a total win! :worship: Depends on whether you see something on the dinner menu that sounds like a must-have? I'm on no help at all.

Hi Melissa! :wave2:

Miss - I don't think anything out there is worth dumping a BB. I think my YC CL is 37% through Orbitz, but then there is that added headache of booking third party. It's only worth it for me since I could only get YC at rack rate through CRO :confused3

Stick to BWI! :thumbsup2

I think I'm gonna keep the lunch ressie. I know it's geeky, but I'm kinda psyched at the idea of pre-ordering my food and just showing up to eat.:banana::banana: Any time saved waiting with the kiddos is soooooo valuable. Did I mention I ordered one of every dessert. :rotfl2:

I can't wait to actually try BoG! Won't make it (or even try) next trip, but it is a MUST for Feb. I actually want to try both lunch and dinner. I think the idea of pre-ordering the food sounds so awesome!

Having a quiet but rough day. Steven has another endoscopy tomorrow and is not a happy camper :(

Yep, totally keeping it -- was pondering the CL thing though. :rotfl2: But actually, I know we'll be out so much that I don't think it'll be worth it for the three of us. Especially now after perusing some of the F&W menus. :woohoo: All that extra dosh to nibbles over at Epcot. (Besides, I need one of those peanut butter dark chocolate squares from BW Bakery again. Well, I actually NEED about a dozen.)

After mine own heart. :worship: :lmao:

I know! Lunch with an ADR sounds just my speed. :thumbsup2

Poor kiddo. Is it just a check-up? I hope so. Sending positive thoughts his way.

Gonna try and catch up, been taking a much needed snooze, this getting up in the middle of the night to snag a Disney Deal is tough on an old gal :rotfl2:

I think your change is wonderful!!! This is a great plan for F&W .... eat around the world and then back to CL for more snacks! :cloud9:

I'm really thinking it will work out good for this trip since we are going without a DP and are up early to take advantage of the Coffee and breakfast offerings then can head over to F&W for lunch, back for our "time out" hit the lounge maybe then before heading back out hit it again or when we get back before it closes.

It's all about saving $$$ right even if It is costing more :rotfl:

Jen forgive me but I can't remember when you are going .... the price of getting older or maybe too many nights packing and up with the puppy! :rotfl2: Will it be warm enough to swim? When Bob's brakes cost $800+ it put a dent in my Disney pocket book or I should say Bob's wallet. Hope your damages were not too bad.

Miss we have never stayed on the monorail just WL 2x but we do love Epcot stayed YC x1 and this will make our 3x at BWI. There is just so much to consider and with using a scooter now and the monorail having a bad habit of breaking down, plus BWI is 1st bus stop so easy to get a spot on the bus when going or coming from MK or AK

Your poor pooch getting sprayed in the face and with their heightened sense of smell OMG

Marie I wish the Deluxe room had been available but was only available Nov 4-8 and I don't want to check-in and then move the next day plus the more I think about it other than the location/view we really don't need a room that sleeps 6 :rotfl2:

I_Heart I checked Orbitz yesterday they had some good deals!

We only did Dinner at BOG but it was good. I was thinking of trying BOG this trip for lunch and Dinner but probably not now since we are no longer staying at the Poly.

Hi to everybody I missed. I need to get busy, I haven't even started packing yet.

Better get a move on girl! :cool1: I am packed and I don't leave until the 13th.

Your trip looks awesome! I was at poly CL twice already this year and I love the new decor:love: you should have a great time with THAT itinerary:banana:

Mine is with a 17 and 18 yr old girls.

Translation: I will be wiped out when I get home. :faint:

Just like old commercial, when I look in window and see my reflection I am the age of dd. Must be why I keep going back.

Disney IS the fountain of youth:goodvibes

Also how do people only book one res? I had 5 at one point for winter break:rotfl2:
