Once again you ladies amaze me with your support. I hope I give back some of it. Well, I tried so hard to pep talk her, build her up and tried to help her put her fears aside. It didn't work out.

Let's just say she literally paralyzed herself with fear. Hyperventilating, shaking, not breathing right. I have never seen her like that. Got her calmed down after we left, took her for a smoothie and just talked.

Anyway, we are back to looking at asleep dentistry again for her. Ugh, not what I wanted, but we have to do what we have to do I suppose.

Moving on.....Pas that is so freaking exciting about VGF!! We want to try it there badly too!

So, I have the end of vacation blues so I called and booked a WDW trip. I decided that I need to give GF a go, and the CM talked me into, VGF...

So June 22-27th I have 2 BR Standard View at VGF booked. Trish I am counting on you to absolutely love it.

Hi all. Okay, A little off topic here but I am hoping you all can send me some strength! Tomorrow DD9 has to have some cavities filled, and I am a wreck. She hasn't had fillings awake ever since our horrible incident with the ped. dentist about 4 years ago. She had to be put out the next few times. So tomorrow she will be awake, maybe have some laughing gas, It is just going to kill me though.

I will be reliving the nightmare from 2010 all over again, but I need to be calm for her. I know there are many many worse things, and this is but a drop in the bucket of life's problems, but just send me strength ladies. I will need it. Let's just hope I don't do this.

Hope all went well . I wrote before I go caught up!! So sorry for all the trama. What about getting the dentist to prescribe something to calm her down before getting there, like Valium or something? I worry about general anesthesia. How awful your poor daughter is so traumatized by a past experience.

When I was in disney in may dd begged for me to bring home a cupcake. Disney cupcakes are the best! I got her a Minnie Mouse one from cap'n cooks and we shared when I got home

Ds loved CL potato chips so.... Hard to get

That's why we are staying sugar loaf one night before VGF, chips for boy scones for girl , trifle and wine for mama and asparagus for dh(yep).

I really don't eat much but vacation food is the best

Janet - Happy Belated birthday to your boy too! Glad he's getting his life back on track, that must be so comforting! My DS21/ Josh lasted 3 days at his night shift home depot job I don't blame him though, night shift is not for everyone. Hoping when he gets home from Ontario this new job is just what he needs and works out well!

Sue: My DS17/ Andrew hated the POLY! I admit it wasn't my favourite either, I got bed bug bites, and then at midnight upon returning from MNSSHP we had a cockroach crawling up our wall, and the kids wouldn't sleep in that room because we couldn't find it to get rid of it -- and a broken bed, well, it all ended up to a 2 am move (albeit to a beautiful lagoon/castle view room) but it was a stressful night! and we only had 3 days left at the POLY and where so busy we didn't have time to take advantage of that amazing room view! The paths where so winding and confusing, we just didn't feel at home there.....Andrew told me NO POLY, so even though there's been a refurb, and the pool is getting a change, he just wants his first love, AKL! it's his grad trip, he can choose Unless BWI DLX room is cheaper, I can see us doing Kidani.

Today is my last day of full time work for a few weeks. I work full time again August 19-26 -- but I'm back to part time for 3 weeks! the money is nice, but I need a small break.

I'm off to a dinner theatre with my DH and our good friends on Thursday night, i've never done a dinner theatre, except hoop de doo- so it should be interesting. I"m looking forward to the night out!

My Reno has started, husband is emptying basement, and getting rid of a lot of stuff. I don't want to know or look. I'm being an ostrich with my head in the sand. It's awful, I just can't be so ruthless, but we have sooooo much "stuff" after 30 yrs of living in this house! I know it's necessary. We have to lighten up. I just can't do it, so he is. I packed away my special things, grandmas linens, family treasures that can't be replaced. Everything else can. So I figure if something I need is gone, I'll replace it. But prob 90% of the stuff I'll never miss. Tomorrow they are jack hammering thru the basement floor
I will be in physio in the morning, then going to my girlfriends house!

Can't wait to leave, 10 days, 10 days!! Ft Lauderdale is first, then up to wdw. With any luck, most of the basement will be finished by the time we get home.

Sue, you are like me... I have a lot of "stuff" if it were up to my DH and DD they would throw it all out! I know I should just toss or donate 90% of it, only keeping the few treasured items. Its on my "to do" list this year... guess I better get cracking! That would be great coming home to the finished basement!

My fave flavors: pumpkin and Cap'n Morgan. Trishadono, I need ALL the details on pumpkin juice please... where did you order it from, and how do I hook me up??? Oh and JanetB, I thought you'd appreciate I had to look it up because I had no clue it was related to that Harry P dude.

Saga of Bob. No sleep for the weary last night which is the New Normal for him, sleep a night off two etc.

About a month ago the audible wear indicators starting making noise on Bob's car well procrastination proved costly yesterday to the tune of $800+ for a brake job!

Semi good scooter news Bob yesterday said he is going to buy a knee brace if he rents a scooter so he looks like he needs one. I told him your old and grey you look like you need one

With all the talks of the RO discount coming out tomorrow I was doing some Disney math and did the unthinkable mentioned WL to Bob yesterday. As you all might recall that was his favorite resort before we stayed at BW but depending on the % off WL we could possibly stay CL at WL for what the Poly is costing.

I really want to stay at the Poly but I am starting to feel guilty since I am afraid Bob is not going to like it there. I most likely will not change but the seed has been planted of course it is likely He was not listening and never heard a word I said either

Going on Day 3 of 7 of the much-dreaded "No Respite Until Bedtime While Daddy's Away" week. We have not maimed or killed each other or any innocent bystanders (like the dog), so things are going quite well, I'd say.

I saw our pal "Stripey Kitty" in the backyard yesterday. Just hanging out and walking around... and I almost let the dog out. Thankfully I saw him first. Because I know full-well, Miss Einstein would've made a bee-line for her little stank-buddy.

Last Wednesday DH and I drove 3 1/2 hours each way to pick up a puppy for DD .... cousin to our wonderful dog, Samwise.

Thurs and Fri were quiet ... if you call dealing with 2 puppies, one which is not house broken, quiet!

Saturday I packed the truck with empty boxes to fill with DD's stuff, loaded up the 9 week old puppy and headed out for the 6 1/2 hr drive to Santa Monica. Uneventful trip .... I thought .... puppy was wonderful! Driving over the Grapevine I thought I heard a strange noise ......

Sunday it was off to see DS and his new house .... cute little remodeled place that costs just way too much money!!! DD and I noticed the noise getting worse! OH NO just what we need.

Monday internship for DD, Tuesday work for DD and me ... puppy sitting and packing. Today DD sweet talked the guy at the repair shop to take a look at the truck, brakes .... GONE .... metal to metal!!! Called Midas .... brakes are still under warranty so all we have to pay for is labor .... wonderful shop next door didn't charge ANYTHING to take a look ... now that's unheard of!!! Dropping the truck off tomorrow morning and they should have it done by noon.

Saturday morning DD and I will load up the truck with what will fit and of course the puppy for the drive back to Sacramento!!! DD has been applying for jobs and has an interview Monday .... so lots of pixie dust for her please! She'll fly back to LA Wednesday morning, finish up her internship for her Masters on Aug 17th, DH flies down to drive the moving truck back North!

And then we hope DD gets a job and life settles down for awhile!!! Is it time for vacay yet????

Honestly, I've been just so bleh. I've come to the DIS several times, and did post on a thread about Kidd, but I just haven't been in the mood for the boards. I've listened to him on the radio so long, it's like I've lost a favorite uncle. Then I have been really dreading today, since it's the last day FD is available and I assume the last day you can make changes to our reservation and keep the FD. The DH has been keeping me in the dark (and still is) about the amount of money he has saved away for our drive there and back. Yesterday, he made it sound like we would really have to downgrade to the CSR in order for the trip to happen. Turns out the (insert Donald Duck style rant of a lot of non-Disney style words to describe a donkey of a DH) has a lot more saved than he was admitting to. He claims, he only has 2/3 of the money we need, but I know if he'll admit to that much, he has all we need (and maybe more). I've been mainly watching tv shows on my laptop. I got sucked into this tv show called "Starter Wives Confidential", and now I'm watching a show on Netflix called "Hemlock Grove".

Oh and I just the lady a FB message that I wanted to buy t-shirts from for MNSSHP. Instead of buying the t-shirts from her, I'm just getting the appliques and sewing them on myself using just a temp stitch. This way, they can be taken off later and the guys can wear the shirts again. I'll probably just sew mine on, because I know I'll wear it again. Then a lady on the DIS September FB group posted a picture about how she glued some crystals onto the side of her sunglasses in the shape of a MH. I'm really thinking about going to Hobby Lobby, getting some nice sparkly crystals to do that to my sunglasses for the trip.

Anyway, I'm sure this Eeroy funk will pass. Afterall, we only have 37 days until we leave for WDW!!!

DD has been applying for jobs and has an interview Monday .... so lots of pixie dust for her please! She'll fly back to LA Wednesday morning, finish up her internship for her Masters on Aug 17th, DH flies down to drive the moving truck back North!
