Hi all. I really, really need to catch up. I hope everyone is well. I've been trying to get all of my trip pictured put on FB and it's been a pain. I still only have 6-700 of the 1100-1200 pictures I took.

So, I would like to draw attention to my siggy.....yes you're eyes aren't failing you, I am going back to WDW next year!! I don't know if y'all follow the blog "The Relocated Tourist", but it's written by a friend I met on the boards. Next June is her 40th birthday and she made a comment about having a big bash for it. Another friend, that I met on the June 2012 DIS group, has been talking about a girls only trip, so I though Amy's birthday would be perfect for it. I'll fly from DFW to Atlanta to meet my friend and then we'll drive down to WDW together. It'll just be a long weekend, but at least it'll be a weekend at WDW.

SUE: congrats on your 20% off at POFQ! That's a great discount at that resort I'm really looking forward to trying both sides of POR and experiencing a Mod resort, it'll give me firsthand insight for future trips! I'll either love it and be fine with perhaps going mod in a budget situation, or I'll decide Deluxe is the only way for me! We shall see, I'm having an open mind and excited for my stay.

It's been a nice quiet weekend here. I bought the North and South series and spent yesterday watching the first 2 books 3 more DVDs to go and I'm done! Really enjoyed seeing it again, there's so many great actors/actresses in it

I broke down and got one of the new iPhones Friday night -- wanted iPhone 5S, but of course they where sold out everywhere! I went for the 5C instead, it's a very cute color (coral pink) and I am loving it! It's definitely an upgrade from my 4S - which went to DH as he doesn't use a phone as much as I do! And bonus for me -- this one at least holds the battery charge!!! Yippee! That's what I hated about my 4S , it died so quickly.... Although it's lasting fine for DH's needs! (He's not on the disboards constantly like I am though, LOL!)

Well the only part I can say on a Disney board is that I would be ok with the DH going to a work convention in Vegas with his parents, without me. It also includes the Nikon D3200 I want. Plus it's going to be a very cheap trip. The other 2 people I am going with are military wives, and they get discounted rooms and park tickets.

Have you researched the DSLRs? I only ask because there are some better options than a 3200 that are quite affordable.

I did some. I just loved the ability of the D3200, to wirelessly send pics to my phone. I need to do some more research. I know I can get the D3200 for about $550 with one lens or $730 with a bundle that has 2 lenses.

I wouldn't really worry too much about kit lenses, honestly. I would get the camera and learn it and see what you are and aren't able to achieve with your one kit lens (18-55 usually) and then upgrade from there.

Yeah for now I'm just going to stick with the 18 - 55 mm lens. Although I do love a lot of the features on the Canon T4i. I'll have time to research it though.

Last week went up to Rochester for a long weekend to see my Mom since it's been a while. She had one or two small episodes but overall she's still pretty much with it, thankfully. Got to visit with a few of my cousins, and had breakfast with an old friend, so it was nice. As you might suspect, I sleep very little on these long weekends

The marching band had their first perfomance Saturday night, and we thought the kids did great! Sam said they messed up a few times, but we couldn't tell. Next Saturday our school hosts a competition so it should be fun ... and it means we are busy this week getting ready. Oh and our football team finally won a game friday night - yeah! I was feeling bad for the kids (they got routed their first 3 games).

Between work, meetings, the Y, chauffering Sam, well I get behind on the DIS but want you know that do try to peek in everyday and that I'm reading, and smiling, laughing, (and sometimes commiserating) right along with you all .....

I must admit, mentally I have not been my best self lately, and I was frantically searching my PM's to see if I had any of your phone numbers. Needed to talk to a live friend over the weekend. (I did settle for a home friend ) But something funny? The only person whose phone number I had was our Sarah. What a sweet lady, I am sure she would have had a chat with me and made me feel better.

I really need to think this over because we get bunged-up with too many ADRs and feel stifled, so I really need to try to figure out how this "stuff" will work for me, not against me. That said, I just got a BOG FP+ thanks to jennyjinx. Baby steps. I guess maybe I should check in on-line next.


jennyjinx: Thanks for the BOG link. I entered my info and got a b'day lunch Fri 11th at BOG. I haven't a clue what I would be in the mood to order that day, so I chose expedited rather than placing our food order. I've done BOG dinner (with LuvLuvLuv, JanetB and GrumpyG ) but never lunch so I am excited. And the biggest "plus"... I guess we'll just have to leave home earlier than originally planned that day.

wookie: Wow Wow! You really have fast-tracked the WDW schedule. Although I admit my mind is doing cartwheels trying to figure out what the "unmentionable on the DIS" part of the bargain with DH will be.

Summer-Caitlin: Hi! We just did OKW in August. I don't keep up with rehab schedules, but our room decor was bright with a clean off-white, saddle tan, and mid-blue color scheme. Plaids and stripes and solids. We liked it a lot. I'd actually do a beach house in similar fashion.

I am weak.

Now that I am packed, the kids are really coming to the realization that I am going to Disney without them. They have been sad.

Today, DD9 says "mom, do you really think we don't appreciate that you take us to Disney, because we do!!! We will do whatever you want, please just take us back to Disney"

I ended up telling them about the trip booked for next August!

But, the squeals of happiness were worth it, and now they are bugging me with all sorts of details....what resort? What restaurants will we do?

Surprisingly, they are really excited about BWI...they want to go back to ESPNZone

So, now they know....so much for trying to keep it a secret.
