Our little thread of BIG Resort changes*OLD THREAD link on last pg. to new thread!

I am weak. :headache:

Now that I am packed, the kids are really coming to the realization that I am going to Disney without them. They have been sad. :sad1:

Today, DD9 says "mom, do you really think we don't appreciate that you take us to Disney, because we do!!! We will do whatever you want, please just take us back to Disney"

I ended up telling them about the trip booked for next August! :rolleyes1

But, the squeals of happiness were worth it, and now they are bugging me with all sorts of details....what resort? What restaurants will we do?

Surprisingly, they are really excited about BWI...they want to go back to ESPNZone :confused3

So, now they know....so much for trying to keep it a secret. :rotfl2:

:lmao: I would've totally buckled under that sort of pressure too. :rotfl:

And, I'm with them for wanting to go back to ESPNZone, those wings are kinda good. :rolleyes1

It's so funny the things that leave an impression on kids. DD9 was all "Boardwalk!! Yay! We can eat at the restaurant with the TV's in the bathrooms!" :yay:

:rotfl2:

DD6 was all "that's the restaurant where I fell off of the stool...." :headache:
(She did...and those stools are high...) :rotfl2:

But, they both agreed that they LOVE walking to Epcot and DHS....so all is good. :cool2:

Too funny! :rotfl:
It's very cool that your kids love walking into Epcot and DHS. :cool1:

Wookie, wow you had some trip, hoping all the good moments outshine the not so great ones…btw, did you check with Disney’s lost and found for JM’s hat? Items get turned in daily and then transported over to the lost and found dept…. you can contact them and if the hat turns up they will ship it to you.:goodvibes...

I didn't even think about it. He lost it on our last night, we were at MNSSHP, and we left the next morning.

and that is fabulous news about a girls trip! ... and a new camera ....and he gets Vegas with the rents? Sounds like a great deal!

Yep, I am for sure getting the better end of the deal. Since he parents can't fly, he'll have to drive them. I just hope they aren't planning on taking my minivan.

Last week went up to Rochester for a long weekend to see my Mom since it's been a while. She had one or two small episodes but overall she's still pretty much with it, thankfully. Got to visit with a few of my cousins, and had breakfast with an old friend, so it was nice. As you might suspect, I sleep very little on these long weekends :)

The marching band had their first perfomance Saturday night, and we thought the kids did great! :cool1: Sam said they messed up a few times, but we couldn't tell. :) Next Saturday our school hosts a competition so it should be fun ... and it means we are busy this week getting ready. :) Oh and our football team finally won a game friday night - yeah! I was feeling bad for the kids (they got routed their first 3 games).

Between work, meetings, the Y, chauffering Sam, well I get behind on the DIS but want you know that do try to peek in everyday and that I'm reading, and smiling, laughing, (and sometimes commiserating) right along with you all .....

I miss marching band. I just wish at least one of my boys were in it.

wookie: Wow Wow! You really have fast-tracked the WDW schedule. :woohoo: Although I admit my mind is doing cartwheels trying to figure out what the "unmentionable on the DIS" part of the bargain with DH will be. :scared1: :rotfl2:

:lmao:

Wowsa! Holy PICTURES Batwoman! Love the sound of your girls' weekend. :woohoo:

The funny thing is, I know I would have gotten more if I hadn't gotten sick those two days.

I am weak. :headache:

awww, I would have given in and told them as well.

The only person (in my family) that knows about the WDW part of my girl's only trip is the DH. I told my mom that I was just going to visit a friend. I'm going to act like the WDW part was a surprise from the friend's DH. I talked to her earlier and she was going to book the room today. I believe the official dates are 6/20-23/13 and staying at SoG. It will be three adults and one toddler.

Hi RCers,
It's been a crazy day of last minute details, but I think I'm pretty
much done. Can't wait to hop on that plane! :yay:

Miss-Thank you for your wishes!
Janet-Glad to be up next, hoping for a meet up!
Candace-You'll be there before you know it, hope to see ya Sat!
Melissa-Are you feeling better? It would be great to say hello Fri.
Magic-We return on Oct 1st, sounds funny to even be talking about Oct. Where did our summer go?

Time for me to sign off for now. We have an early  flight tomorrow.

Sending hugs to all the RC friends, :grouphug:

Safe travels!!! And hopefully, I'll be seeing you soon!!! :yay:

Ginny: Have a wonderful trip and safe travels!!:cool1:

Candace: I think you made a great choice in telling the DD's. That is great they are excited for the BW!!

Wookie: Isn't it sad that we have to keep our WDW trips a secret from others sometimes?? They just don't get it.

Magic and Miss: So glad you both got BOG ressies too!! Yipee!:banana::banana:

Not too much else to say tonight, I am a bundle of horrendous nerves tonight. I will check in tomorrow night.

When I was talking to my mom about the fact we wouldn't be going back and that the DH wasn't planning on going back until our 85th wedding anniversary she actually said, "well maybe you will have grown up enough that you won't want to go back". If growing up means never going to WDW again, I will never ever grow up!!

Hiya Wookie! Some folks just don't get it. It doesn't have anything to do with growing up.
I am glad you have a trip soon! It's always fun to get to know new friends! :goodvibes

Jen: just want to say I'm thinking of you guys and sending positive vibes and best wishes for smooth sailing tomorrow. Check in with us after it's all over? Huge hugs.

Ginny: oh you're having Disney Eve Insomnia! I think we all suffer from that, don't we?! Safe and pleasant journeys for you tomorrow.

Hi Ginny!
Safe travels on the second half of your journey :)

Love the "total Disney insomnia reference" that describes me every trip! :

Sending out big hugs to Jen and Kailey today, and hoping and praying the appt goes well

Good morning everyone! On my way to work. We had a fabulous weekend going apple picking in New Jersey and then to the Freehold mall for lunch and the big sporting goods store with a phallic name which it won't let me type because it gets censored. :lmao:

I have a wrench being thrown into my Disney plans. My agency is planning a conference for the summer. However, I think I may have to leave my kids home and go solo for that because I wouldn't have anyone to watch the kids during the meetings anyway!

I am glad i joined this thread as I feel like I truly belong here...I have now changed our trip for next september from the poly to the GF to the CR and now have settled for now on a split stay of CR garden wing and AKL (or renting points). :)

Dani a conference trip "alone" sounds like a lot of fun :thumbsup2

Janet Jiko is out, I showed Bob a few pics on the live dining thread and he turned his nose up so were going to do a second dinner at Via Napoli instead.

He is so picky but I have showed him a lot of pictures from Boma, Sanaa and Mara and he is on board for all those :yay:

I am way behind in posting, been stopping by to read but just neglected to post :(

My return flight dropped again so another $10 in my travel bank :)

The CC on TP all went up, no surprise there those aways go up nearer my trips but I am starting to worry about our last day I saw a 9.5 listed for one of the arks

I'm planning on AK our last day ending with lunch at Yak & Yeti

Question
What is everyone's opinion on LTT for dinner? I been considering dropping my BOG since we ate there last year and from the pictures/reviews I have been seeing it looks like the food quality has gone down and the prices have gone up.

Bob loves his meat and Will enjoy LTT I think more :confused3

JANET! So nice to hear from you! Glad to hear your visit with your mom was a nice one. Wish I could join in on a Sunday meet up...its not that far! I could combine it with a shopping trip!
Oh Jen that would be great! And I'm that much closer to you when I'm in Rochester. We'll have to work on the RC meet. :goodvibes

janetB: Hi. Well, mom is mom. She's like a box of chocolates, you never know what you'll get!!! :lmao: We are taking mom & dad to Fleming's Sunday for their actual 50th anniversary date. I have a request in with the hostess to provide us with menus sans prices, so they don't nit-pick the experience to death. A_La_Carte :scared1: ...they're old school, ya know! ;) I'm glad your time with mom was a rewarding one.

:rotfl2: Well Mom sure keeps you on your toes and alert!! Awesome night planned for the anniversary.. :goodvibes Have a fabulous time!

Ahhh, glad you had a nice, albeit busy-busy weekend. As long as the crowd didn't notice the little band flubs, all's good! :rolleyes1 So happy she's enjoying herself.

Miss, she is loving it!!

That is classic and I totally know what you mean; my mother was diagnosed with dementia about 7-ish years ago. :grouphug: to you and Janet.

Miss, hope your Mom is hanging in there.

It really looks like a tornado has visited every single room of this house. :scared: A tornado solely consisting of dust, dirty clothes, toys and dog hair.

Funny, those twisters been wreaking havoc in our house too!!:goodvibes

Wookie, you can still call lost & found and give the details. Ya never know, it may have been turned in.

Sam is so happy in the band and its made the transition to the HS much easier. The routine looks awesome so far, and I know the kids are only going to get better.

:wave2: All great choices!! If you'd like, posts your dates and resort(s) as it stands today  and I will add them to the RC list.

Hi Sheila,
I have heard good things about LTT (we've never eaten there but hopefully next year we'll fit it in). Perhaps drop BOG and do CS there, and try LTT. Its looks yummy! (and plentiful!)... also, since Bob loves his meat, have you considered O'hana? Meat heaven!! :goodvibes

:yay: for SW credit!! Every bit helps towards next trip. :thumbsup2

Sheila, I'm probably one of the minority, but I never look at TP. :)

Hi Peeps!

My headline news for the day...guess who's making a last minute trip to FL? Moi! :dance3: Have been mulling over options for the last 2 weeks (at one point the auto train), and with work, school, YIKES a lot going on... BUT... that AP just was too much! That and a few other factors ....

Background, my sis will be in Disney (she leaves tomorrow), taking a solo trip for F&W, staying at the POP. Was not planning on joining her as we were just there in August, but another factor in the equation is that my DS Paul is in Florida (not Orlando, too bad, cant have everything :upsidedow) so I can combine the quick trip with my sis and the both of us taking a road trip to see Paul for a day!

I'm so EXCITED!! Hoping to meet up with Ginny on Sunday, Monday will be gone all day and Tuesday back in the parks, departing Wednesday.
I feel so blessed to be returning so soon, especially with the December trip on the horizon. I have a wonderful DH, and Sam is at the age that she has her own thing with School and the Band, both are happy for me, so I'm free to go!!

So, Candace and Melissa, any chance to meet up??

:cool1:
