Thanks for the welcome. I don't think I was too much of a changer before I got DVC but lately I just can't seem to make up my mind. I even struggled with deciding on Pop for May. You read one negative review and it makes you question your choice even though I've had 7 great trips there.

BC CL is so much more than Mickey Waffles! On my last trip in November I tried a waffle at Sleepy Hollow for the first time. Not a Mickey Waffle but it was fun to be eating a waffle in the quiet there behind Sleepy Hollow.

Cute Mickey bottle topper! Have you seen the new Haunted Mansion bottle topper? Not exactly cute but so cool.
http://disneyparks.disney.go.com/bl...-mansion-merchandise-items-from-disney-parks/

I bet the Muppets was fun. My DS(12) is a huge Muppets fan. We made him the coolest Beaker costume for Halloween. He's worn it the last 2 years. Not all the other kids knew who he was but the adults LOVE it!

I first stayed Poly CL with my oldest when she was 3 and I was 6 months pregnant with my 3rd. It was Oct 2002 and park attendance was still down due to 9/11. I think I got more than 50% off. I think I paid less than $250 for a theme park view CL room. That was before they had (charged more for) a theme park view category. Now that room on an Oct weekend is $901. Even with 30% off it is still $710 with tax.:sad2: and the Poly doesn't always get as high a discount as other resorts now. Our first 3 family trips were Poly CL and we did a 4th after a 3 year break. We loved the Poly! I was really afraid to try anywhere else. Poly prices are just crazy now. I actually have a GV non CL Poly room on my list for resorts to consider for this summer.

I have seen the Haunted Mansion ones!!! LOVE them!!! :thumbsup2

*sigh* I loved the Poly...if money weren't an issue, I'd book it in a heartbeat...and BC last year was pretty nice too although I think I kept us way too busy. No time to really enjoy SAB and the beach and all...but I'm finding it hard to justify that extra $ so moderate it is...

I hear you! We stayed at the Poly the first time in 1982 and it began a long running love affair with the resort, staying twice a year for many years. Our last stay was a few years ago. :( Room cost is so high now, I find it difficult to justify the cost when it falls quite short of amenities as offered at similar non-Disney resorts. We enjoyed the old days when every room received a morning newspaper and nightly turn down service. Times have changed and guess I am not anxious to spend more money for less service. Nevertheless, the Polynesian is my favorite and if a fantastic code came out I'd be back in a heartbeat! After all, we will not find a monorail or view of a castle or Lagoon at a non-Disney. .;)

In our 30+ yrs of visits, besides most of the deluxe resorts, we have enjoyed stays at CBR, POR, FQ and POP - all fine - I still prefer a deluxe, even with less amenities.

Just thinking aloud here...so we will have DS6 and DD2...HRH is too big for the pack n plays (and HATES them). We are driving so we can bring the inflatable toddler bed we have. (Not sure if she'll sleep on it or not or of she'll end up in bed with DH and me). That being said, I think I may have ruled out CBR so we have the queen beds...(a bit more room if she ends up with us). SO CSR or POR I think...still leaning toward CSR at the moment despite some of the negatives I've seen on the boards recently...Namely RE: food court and buses...

But then there IS the neat pirate ship kiddie water play area at CBR that they would LOVE I'm sure...

What's wrong with your people? Can't you make your minds' up?
:lmao:
me 'neither, nice to see there are others out there:thumbsup2

I'm DVC too but with adult kids raiding them/waiting too long too book where i'd want to stay/and deciding upon 'a bonus' trip this summer...found myself needing a reasonably priced CRO room

:faint:talk about sticker shock! $150/night for a standard value, seriously?

Booked ASMu via the spring promo. We like it there, just not necessarily for 6 nights due to how crowded the public areas can get. Was thrilled to find a promo via orbitz yesterday. Was able to upgrade for less than $80 to one of the resorts we've never tried: CBR, standard. Seems to be large enough to spread out and pics looks very romantic (each of us in our own double bed lol) for a he and me trip. maybe i can sweet talk my way into a king bed upgrade;)

Of course, if a better disney deal magically appears all bets are off!

Ugh! My multiquote got messed up.Forgive me for not going back and redoing it.
Understood. I HATE when that happens...ugh

 we here for your always Pas....

CSR will be fantastic!! You will have DH with you, (and unlimited beer and sangria ) so it will be perfect!! Congrats on being PIF!!
 You are the bestest! All you ladies are fantastic :grouphug:

Pas-I am glad you have your CSR CL vacation planned. I hope you have a very relaxing time!
I can't wait !!!! EMH at 7am at MK, Epcot closes at 11p and MK closes at 1am..I told DH get ready for quite the day !

Big hugs to our Jeanette, Kook and Jen.

Jeanette: Thanks for the hugs...sorry to ramble here all the time.
No apologies! That's what we are here for!

Ladies: On an unrelated note, has anyone ever done the Behind the Seeds Tour at Epcot? The girls love the Land ride, and are fascinated with the greenhouses, as am I (in my former life pre-kids as a horticulturist). Was curious what it is like.
It is SO neat!! If your girls love the ride, they will love the tour. You can release ladybugs...and feed the fish :flower3:

Our very own Pas did the tour with her hubs last year! She reviewed it in her last TR. I want to do it, too.
:goodvibes It was a good time!!!

Linda (far right) and Laurie (far left) - both dear friends. Looks like the DIS Divas are having a great time!
Thanks for posting the Mama Linda pic, Christine!

Jeanette - I can't wait to hear a out CSR BC (if you actually stay there). I chuckled with the Janet needing Diet Coke comment, she and I had the Diet Coke conversation when we met up, no Diet Pepsi for her (or me for that matter) LOL! I am pretty sure you will still have your job even after taking the two days off, isn't there still a shortage of nurses???
So, I kinda went up the chain of command...and I was given the time off!!!!pixiedust:

Possibility #1 - 8/4-8/10 CSR. Not booked yet though, so more than enough time to change dates and resorts between now and then!
Always plenty of time!!

But I'm actually not in a cancelation funk - all is well, my sweet.

So glad DD isn't having migraines today, poor thing. They HAVE to give you two days off!!
Oh I am too!!! And I WAS given off pays eventually to be a good employee...::yes::

I'm glad she is feeling better, and is back to 100%.

A humble for the continuation of your reign as the RC Queen.
Awwwwwwwww shucks

Hey girls. I just wanted to drop a quick line to let you know I'm dropping off the DIS for awhile to take care of some personal stuff. Nothing too major, just stuff that needs to be dealt with without distraction.
 Hope all works out! Hurry back!

A sweet magical UPGRADE for our own Magic!!
6308 Suite (on the point), 1 Bedroom, 2 bath, and CL Amenities!!
:cheer2: YAY! Happy anniversary to our Magic!!!!!!!!!!

Miss, Told Magic to go ahead and take pix - sure Kook will want to have them (heck so do we!! )
::yes::
Hi all! Got room for one more?

I'm hoping I can make up my mind when I go in May so I can book a bounceback when I'm at Pop. Maybe all I need to do is see AoA and I'll be ready to stick with that. But the ability to walk to MK or see animals and have a washer/dryer in the room sounds so good.....
:welcome: ALWAYS room for more resort changers!!!!!!

Hey, bouncebacks are changable too :thumbsup2

Jeannette - CSR BC...when? I can't keep up!
4/3-4/5 DH and I :cheer2: 31 days away:upsidedow

Help me step away from the computer!! Now I have priced out POR for this trip, would be $1400 cheaper that BC CL!!! All this because DD8 said at bedtime that she dreams to have Mickey Waffles again, which BC CL will not have.

$1400 could buy a lot of waffles...and drinks!!:lmao:

But it cannot buy the memories of staying at the BC right???
How about BC without the snack room??? Savings AND $$ to get Mickey waffles AND snacks and Beaches and Cream:beach:

That would be wonderful! I've no idea where we are staying yet - this is a little trip with Sophia. She has been so sweet. She asked for a RR but since I don't swim, we need a resort with water jets. BWV has a very nice kiddie pool with elephants spraying water, sadly it is out of my retired budget - although I might check on renting points even though it is a bit late for BWV. Sophia would love the boat to HS. :cloud9:

Soooo, I think we are going in May - August is still in the running as well!

Good Morning, RC family! Hope everyone has a delightful Saturday!
:cheer2: Oooooooohhhhhhhh a trip!!!

Good morning all! DH was looking at my ideas last night, but has yet to take a look at the videos and pics of the moderates to help me decide which one we should go with. He was interested in the BC rooms at CSR though...

Have a great Saturday!
I shall report back with a great review...promise:flower3:

But then there IS the neat pirate ship kiddie water play area at CBR that they would LOVE I'm sure...
:goodvibes Maybe Christine's DGD would like that too...and it's 30% off in May :scratchin

Great suggestion!

Princess Sophia is not into pirates at all....must be princess related! I am no longer a fan of CBR since they did that silly light refurb in 2006 and added Nemo to a Caribbean themed resort - what the heck were they thinking!!:confused3 The food court and restaurant are not even close to how it used to be in '88 and 2004. Still a pretty resort, but not for me until Disney does a full room refurb like FQ and POR in 2005. :thumbsup2

IU as in Indiana University's particle accelerator... Must have been like an episode out of Big Bang Theory:thumbsup2

That's too funny as she was worried she'd be upgraded to the Tower:rotfl:

Great news and of course I'd love to post her suite photos to the CR thread::yes::

Former English teacher here, too:hug:, but we called those In-Service days, which makes about as much sense as Institution Day! Pointless, indeed.

Gotta run - our salmon's almost ready:fish:

They are Professional Development days here ~ that makes them sound important :)

Unrelated Disney note...I made a brilliant decision at the carnival at my DS school today and let DD go down the big inflatable slide with her brother...we just got back home from the ER a half an hour ago...tibial fracture in her right leg and now she has this full leg splint....HRH will NOT be happy tomorrow when she wakes up!!

Koh Oh No! I hope the rest of your weekend is better without anymore mishaps.

Jeanette Glad to hear you were able to get the time off.

Christine I know your trip with Sopha will be wonderful no matter where you stay.

All this talk about the Poly and the love so many of you have for it is adding to my excitement to stay there. I have been thinking though going for F&W We really should be stying at an Epcot Resort. :confused3 Then I think already stayed YC and BWI and I don't like BC and dying to stay at the Poly or CR(MAGIC's influence). As for the high Rack Rates at the Poly I can justify it since by time I go I know I will have a refurbished room. I should have not waited 20+ years to stay there it would have been way cheaper $$$ :upsidedow

Oh, no! I am so sorry! I know it is difficult not to feel terrible when you see your little one in a full leg splint, but we all make decisions we regret....and I bet the chance of something like that happening was very slim. Poor baby...is she allowed to walk on the splint? Gentle hugs to all :grouphug: and :tinker: for quick healing.

:welcome: to our new RCers!!! So happy you have joined us and our crazy indecision! It makes for delightful reading/planning! :goodvibes :cool1:

 Sheila! Please don't second guess your Poly stay - it will be worth every penny and only a monorail ride away from F&W - yes, an EPCOT resort is more convenient but you might want to spent much more time enjoying the resort this trip. ::yes:: It is always difficult for me to leave our Polynesian balcony. ;)

Happy Sunday everyone!!

Koh- so sorry to hear about your dd, how long will she be laid up?

Sheila- we always stay MK resort no matter what our plans are...stick with the poly :)

If you book a preferred room at POR you would be guaranteed to get a room in the AB section with a small Murphy bed. Perhaps your DS could sleep there and your DD on the other queen with bedrails.

But then there IS the neat pirate ship kiddie water play area at CBR that they would LOVE I'm sure...
Could your DH sleep with DS in one full bed and you with DD in the other?

I can't wait !!!! EMH at 7am at MK, Epcot closes at 11p and MK closes at 1am..I told DH get ready for quite the day !

Hey, bouncebacks are changable too

On my last trip with a friend I went to MK after dinner one night alone for EMH. I stayed til after midnight then was back at the park for opening the next morning. Have you ever listened to the words to the good morning song they sing? I found the lyrics pretty funny that morning: "when the band began to play the sun was shining bright. Now the milkmans on his way, too late to say goodnight.":rotfl:

I'm sort of hoping to make a decision. My mind says AoA is the most responsible decision. I think I would enjoy BLT but what if we didn't. Maybe we should just book BWI CL that we know we love.

Your poor DD. hope she isn't in too much pain and that the splint isn't too annoying for her. How long does she have to wear it?

Poly's access to Epcot is better than the Epcot resorts' access to MK. And so much better than CR's access to Epcot.

Happy Sunday everyone!!

Jenny BC just does not appeal to us, we loved YC when we stayed there but the BC Was just too busy/noisey as was SAB in fact we never did use SAB but preferred the Quiet pool and hot tub there instead of the Hot Tub at SAB which was always packed. We are Also not fans of Cape May after our last time we went there. I booked there once but ended up switching resorts.

I know a lot who love The Beach Club but the BC is just not for us, I think it is best suited for Families with children whereas YC and BWI are tailored more toward Adults

Sheila: Thanks, that all makes sense. I am hoping the whole pool situation is not too crazy for us. All our girls can swim but will still be a going concern I am sure. Funny, this morning I was looking at a one bedroom OKW villa too! Those look lovely, but the buses sound horrible. And DH would just want to go golfing if we were there!! But so much space for the kiddos would be nice. :confused3

DH is golfing at Disney for the first time in April. I got him a tee time at Magnolia. If your DH is a golfer...there are amazing AP discounts. 30% off green fees, free balls, free club rentals...and by staying CL, you can get complimentary cab ride to course!!! We were excited to find this all out....well, he was excited...:rolleyes1
