No way - lie on the stand, lie to investigators, and run away with the people you committed this crime with - and to be found NOT GUILTY...

I think the jury was more concerned with why Daphne Sutton wasn't charged with than with what Vanessa Coleman did in the DAYS she spent in that house while things you couldn't imagine in your worst nightmares happened to Channon Christian.

I hope she is found guilty of enough to put her away for life.

I still don't understand why they weren't charged with a hate crime - this is so not about them stealing her car... it was because they were a cute white couple driving their nice 4 runner through the 'hood, where they didn't belong.

Facilitation? Please, that's a slap on the wrist, IMO. Her crimes were far worse than facilitation. She was a participant and I think the prosecution proved it.

The wikipedia article is factual. Today, the last of the 4 murderers was found not guilty of many of the charges. The crime is just sickening to read about, has not received the national media attention it deserved, and now another of the murderers is receiving less than what she deserves, imo.

Seriously? The bolded items are more newsworthy than the torture, rapes, and murders of Chris and Channon?

This is the 4th trial - of the 3 previous, 2 got life without parole and one got the death penalty - one of the 3 life without parole was placed in a minimum level security prison - until the families found out and made enough noise to have him moved to maximum security! Oh, he was at the lower level security place to be closer to his family. Whatever.

The four of them treated Chris and Channon like... worse than animals, even - I just can't imagine the fear Channon felt being locked in that house over the weekend, hoping that one of the many people she saw/heard would have the human decency to call the authorities/let her go. They didn't even kill her when they were "done" - instead stuffed her inside trash bags in a trash can to suffocate. Think about Chris, walking in his underwear, no shoes in January down the train tracks to be raped, shot to death, then burned in an attempt to somehow cover the crimes.

Just makes me sick to my stomach to think about it all.

Thanks for the links everyone. I do remember hearing about this when it first happened.

It's so hard to understand how someone could be so sick and demented. Lets hope they get their just rewards in prison and after they die.

There are not words to describe how horrific this crime was. If this wasn't deemed a HATE crime, then the term Hate crime shouldn't even exist.
