~Our June '09 adventure~ I'm home! Started TR 7/2

you and your family are in my thoughts and prayers today. hope you are finding peace with time. i know it's hard.

Thanks so much Dawn.

Just wanted you to know your family is in our thoughts and prayers as you deal with the memory of that day and your loss.

Aw MeMom!

I'm BACK AND ALL CAUGHT UP! I'm trying my hardest to convince my mama to come to Disney so I can use my PIN code but she thinks she "doesn't have time" which really means she just doesn't want to go. Anyways...

I'm so sorry about your aunt. A year is always hard because it's like you can't believe it has been this long and it is just a weird feeling. Your family is in my thoughts :)

As for my catching up:

Awesome ADR's! Loved 1900 PF and Chef Mickey's.

Muppets, Teacups, and Primeval Whirl = Probably will never do again in my life!

Monsters is awesome but wasn't too funny when we just saw it.

Love the Judges Tent, but the line is always so long. I like to do character meals instead because you can kill 2 birds with one stone and don't have to wait in line!

The RR is so great, I got a cute photo of the entrance to MK right as the train was pulling in. Love it!

Thanks girl. Glad you're back to the DIS.

Glad you liked my ADR's! I'm excited.

Ooh I bet that photo with the train pulling in is picture perfect! How awesome!

I wish I could give you a big hug.

I feel for you and your sadness, I hope your 'little guy' was a comfort to you. He is so special and he brings you so much joy. He is a true gift from God. ;)

Take care of you, I will keep you in my prayers. Lana

I don't mean to make light, but I am so excitted for you to have made your ADR's. They look so good. :thumbsup2

The Roxy dress looks so pretty on you, a good choice for the luau. :flower3:

 It's been seven years since I lost both of my parents and although some days are better than others, there is still a little pain there. You always miss someone who is so close to you. I wish for more peace as the days go by.

Glad you like my ADR's. We haven't tried CRT before so it'll be exciting!

Glad you like that dress! It's so light and comfy.

Thanks so much for your kind words.

As promised...

Here is the picture of my Aunt and Uncle. It was taken not too long before she passed away. Yes they are loopy , but it's my favorite picture of them.

Attraction of the Day...

Rock 'n RollerCoaster

I'll never forget our first time riding this! It was so long ago, I think even before fast passes! Dad can't handle rollercoasters, so it was just mom, sis, and I. We got to the part of the line where you enter the garage and see people taking off. Well, all 3 of us looked at each other like :scared1:! Mom sat in the row behind me and sis. Sis and I held each other's hands the whole ride. After we got off, we felt so brave for riding that! :rotfl:

She's gorgeous!! Wow!

As for Rockin Rollercoaster....I like the music they play but I'm too old to go upside down anymore LOL so I am the official purse/bag holder during this ride!

She was gorgeous, wasn't she?! :)

So, I'm not the only one who doesn't like this ride anymore?! :yay:

I can see why you love that photo, it is so beautiful :goodvibes

Ok Rock n' Rollercoaster, now I have a big memory of this ride. First of all MGM was the first park we went to and this was one of the first rides we did so it was always going to be memorable for us :lovestruc. Before we went on holiday we had looked at all the rides briefly and had seen the picture of R&RC, the one with the girl in the ride and the loop-the-loop track, and music, and it looked fake and super imposed, obviously. So, we get on the ride, Sophie was only 7-8 and had never been on a big ride before, but it didn't matter, it was only a little simulator :confused3... Yes right !! It suddenly took off, and Wow, we were not expecting that :scared1:. I looked over at Sophie and she looked absolutely terrified but there was nothing I could do but keep reassuring her. Eventually we got off and she was pretty white and told us she did not like that ride, it was far to fast. Every ride after that we had to make sure wasn't too fast, she didn't mind the big coasters, as long as they didn't shoot off. It has taken quite a while, and quite a few trips to get her back on the ride . Finally on our last trip to DLRP she agreed to go on, but as soon as we got strapped in she started freaking out and crying, but there was nothing we could do. Well we got going and she suddenly shouts, "This is awesome" and screams her little head off . Now she loves the ride.

Your Aunt looks so pretty, and she had a beautiful smile.

What a wonderful memory to have of her.

I have never been on RnRC! Too much for me, I will leave it to the true thrill riders. LOL

Wow, your aunt was beautiful. What a great picture of her and your uncle. I'm sorry you and your family are having to deal with something so difficult, I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers over the next little while. Seeing the lives of loved ones cut short is such an important reminder to treasure every moment we have with friends and family. Thank you so much for sharing with all of us... I needed that reminder.:lovestruc

I don't have any particular memories of Rock N Rollercoaster but I LOVE it! It's one of the only "scary" WDW rides my mom will go on with me because she loves Aerosmith. I just love the blast off at the beginning, and the anticipation before it. So fun.:cool1:

Yeah, as for as the Rock n Roller Coaster goes, I think I'll pass. Going upside down is not a good idea for me. Tower of Terror is a bad idea for me, too.

Really, I'm not a big fan of Hollywood Studios, anyway.

What a gorgeous picture! Your sister looks a lot like your aunt. I'm so sorry, again.

OK, on a brighter note, RNRC! My bro LOVES this and is sooo psyched to get back on it this summer! All he says is that they better play Sweet Emotion since that's the song we've always gotten and he can't imagine any other song fitting to the ride as perfectly :lmao:

Aw poor girl! I can see why she freaked out! That beginning is pretty scary!

Thanks so much. I love that picture.

Haha, honestly, I've grown to not liking it anymore. I guess I'm not a big thrill seeker anymore. ToT is enough. :rotfl:

Oh my gosh, when you're waiting to take off and the screen starts counting down..I FREAK out. I get so nervous. Ha.

Yeah, as for as the Rock n Roller Coaster goes, I think I'll pass. Going upside down is not a good idea for me. Tower of Terror is a bad idea for me, too.

LOL. "It's not a good idea for me." You make me laugh.

Isn't that so crazy my sis looks like her and we're not even blood related?! During the visitation, we're all standing in the line by the casket you know..and some of my aunt's friends from high school and stuff came to pay respect and I can't tell you how many times people asked my sis if she was my aunt's sister/daughter/anything related.

Haha, I can see your bro singing loud. :lmao:

Hey girl! I was thinking about you today and wanted to come in here and give you a big ole

I just spent the past hour going through last year's trip report and realized something--your family after going through everything they did last year really deserved that trip and this one.

Now, on to TOT and RNR. Fact of the matter is, I used to be fine with roller coasters. In 1994, however, dh (at the time df) and I took a group of his students to Carowinds. Those girls talked us into getting on a roller coaster that did go upside down. The entire ride, Dan was screaming in my ear: "Don't let me die! Don't let me die! Oh, ^*!@!" So now, I just pass those rides up.

As far as TOT goes--one of my biggest fears is to get on an elevator and it fall crashing to the ground. Yeah, I'll pass on that one. . . . :rolleyes1

But then again, I love rides like Mission:SPACE and BTMR and Barnstormer. Odd, huh?

Which leads me to this: love your Redneck photo from last year's trip (EE). Classy, tink, real classy. :rotfl2:

Aww Tink I hope Friday was okay for you and your family. Your aunt was so beautiful. Lots of  for you and your family.

I loveeeeed RnRC the first and only time I rode it. I like Aerosmith and I thought it was so cool to hear the music playing the whole time throughout the ride. :goodvibes

YAY a ride i've been on :)

I love R'n'R it was the second ride we went on in MGM and i thought it was fantastic, the themeing was great. Certainly one of my favourites of all the Disney rides, shame there isn't one in DL California i'll miss not going on this.
I don't have a pic from me on it for some reason :confused3 but heres one from our trip with my friends i went with, their faces really make me giggle

R n RC....LOVE it! We rode it more than anything this past trip. I wish it were three times as long! This is our entire families favorite ride! Best memory.....going on it with Chimere for the first time. :lmao: She was hysterical!

I get nervous on ToT..I'm claustrophobic and HATE elevators.

I haven't been on Mission:SPACE and I don't think I ever will!

Aw, you love my redneck pic? Thanks. :)

unfortunately the memory that stands out most to me about RnRC was when the CM reprimanded ray and i like we were five years old. since i don't want to relive that by typing it again, go here to read see what i'm talking about. i was soooooooooooooo mad!!!!!

http://www.disboards.com/showpost.php?p=25613409&postcount=547

Oh my gosh, I remember reading this one. I still can't believe the CM acted that way. :sad2:
