Our First Disney Cruise "Double Dip Delight" Pre-TR & TR September 27-October 4, 2008

:lmao:
The only reason I can't start packing is because our animals know what the suitcase means. I would have to deal with a nervous dog and a grumpy bird for two months!

Yes...........I have done it................and I am not ashamed to admit it..........yesterday.......I broke down and...........brought the suitcases out of storage and..........STARTED PACKING  :ssst: :rolleyes1

Well, I think that is about it. Oh, I did book parasailing for DH and DD bonding time @ Castaway Cay, 2nd stop. Since DH was too SCARED to join us in doing the Stingray thingy.

Well your not alone. I havent started putting things in the suitcases but there is a section of my closet that no one is allowed to touch (even me LOL no matter how much I want to wear the shirts, dress, etc LOL) E's gonna come home and think he's walking into a Disney store and not our closet! :rotfl:

I am doing Parasailing with P as a mother son bonding thing. We are doing it the 1st day. I was afraid he would chicken out on the 2nd day after seeing people do it on day 1 (do I get the sneaky mean mommy award for that? :scared1: )

I already have to pack an entire suitcase with just F/E and Secret Mickey gifts!:scared1:

O.....M.....G
Yikes. That's a lotta gifts!:thumbsup2

Still waiting for more of my fellow cruisers to start their Pre-TR's!!! popcorn::

I'll write a TR but PTR's are bad luck for me...the one time I started one, everything went to...y'know......that place in Grand Cayman. So its bad karma for me. You'll all just have to wait! :p

I have a special stack in my closet for cruise only clothes etc etc. Kohls had a great sale last week, so Natalie got 4 new outfits for the cruise. (now she is done.) :yay:
and I too told her she cant wear them until the cruise.
I even went through their closets and said hmmm this can be worn and left on the ship.

My next purchase is aqua shoes for the dolphin encounter. I am wondering if crocs will work. when we went to Great wolf all the guards wore crocs when they were in the water. I may have to test it out in the pool today.

A cruise report???? who would want to read ours? lol. we are not that exciting. :goodvibes The last time I started writing about our cruise was our huge family cruise, and we almost missed our flights and we hit a hurricane at the end.

There is no shame in packing now. You're less than 2 months away from your cruise. I started packing for my November cruise 13 months beforehand. (Granted, it was only the snorkeling equipment that we knew we wouldn't use in the meantime, but you get the idea.)

You win:lmao:

We are having a small family reunion at OKW just prior to the cruise. I have started putting my 'special foods' that I will bring on the table in the corner. Isn't packing half the fun??:cool1:

I sure think so :thumbsup2

Hi Arin! Your Pre-TR is cracking me up. Our first cruise isn't until March 09 and I already have 2 spreadsheets and 3 Word documents of notes from the DISboards! :yay:
Anyway, I saw that you are from Oregon and wanted to say hi! We're from Portland!!
Can't wait to read more!

Oh, I have so many lists that I have a list keeping track of my lists :rotfl:
Your only an hour away from us, we are in the Salem area :)

I have all my stuff in my bedroom in a closet, I have not put it into a suitcase yet but that doesnt mean I havent thought about it;)
I am doing the SAME THING, DD cant wait for the cruise so she can wear her new bathing suits, dresses, socks and even underwear :rotfl: Gotta have new, I really think we were separated at birth

Your Dh and I will get along, I too am afraid of Stingrays and I would NEVER do parasailing :scared1:

I just bought Madison 4 pair of new shoes for the cruise. Target has a lot of their summery shoes on clearance right now. She is extremely excited because her new shoes for formal night have a small heel on them, I keep catching her wearing them around the house :rotfl2:

My DH isn't afraid to go parasailing, just being in the water with "sea creatures" creeps him out

:lmao:

That is too funny :)

:lmao: YES, it will be very obvious to everyone that I spent a lot of $$$$$ at the Disney Store :rolleyes1

:rotfl: O.K. I guess I will give you a pass then................

Shoot, I missed that sale

Just so that you dont feel bad, stopped today at Mervyns and found myself another Disney shirt LMAO Sadly I havent found that many for the boys... Doubt P would wear that many of them. J probably would. I HIGHLY doubt E would but I got him one for dinner a nice button down to wear with some jeans... it was on sale.. I HAD TO LOL

Thanks Drea. That does makes me feel better :rotfl:

So, the past few weeks I have been working on Fish Extender and Secret Mickey gifts. After hours of shopping, stuffing bags, tagging as well as spending a small fortune :rolleyes1 I am pretty much done! :woohoo: I now have close to 70 individual gift bags for all of the lovely children along with around 50 gift bags for the adult participants (1 bag for each cabin). This is why I have come to realize that I will need a whole suit case (and not just one of the smaller sized ones that can be taken as a carry-on) just for my F/E and S/M gifts :scared1: I am just too much of a worrier to ship a box to the ship :sad2:

My husband now REALLY AND TRULY thinks that I am nuts. He walked into our bonus room and saw me surrounded by well over 100 gift bags as I was putting them together. He just opened his eyes really wide  and then just turned around and walked out of the room :rotfl: I have him trained so well :lmao:

The only thing I am struggling with is one more little gift for each of the adult gift bags. I am just so NOT crafty like some of my fellow cruisers. I walked into Michaels today and had no idea what to do with myself :confused3

I am slowly running out of things to do..........thank goodness some of my fellow double-dippers have started their Pre-TR's. :goodvibes

I just bought more stuff for my adult gifts also at lunch while perusing ebay LMAO OMG Im spending so much also. I think im going buck wild cuz its our 1st Disney cruise... NEXT one (MMWWUUAAHHHH HA HA) I wont go so buck wild and Ill have a better Idea at what to do! (LMAO YA RIGHT who am I kidding!)

I will have to get a pic of when E walks into our "Disney" themed closet soon LMAO:lmao:

My Dh just rolls his eyes also, altough he did help me pick out Secret Mickey gifts:thumbsup2 I had trouble coming up with things for the adults also, i went with something practical but will be a good memory and the kids are getting Pirate stuff:::::::::: arrrrgggghhhhh:::::::::::::

54 More days til we meet:cool1:

If you're done and bored you can always help me! I haven't even ordered my stuff yet. Actually I plan to do it this week, cause I will have to assemble tags and bows, etc. for my FE gifts. I feel like I'm the only one who didn't split adults/kids and I feel kindof bad that I don't have one thing for each person in the room...it will be a gift each family member will share, (one or two per cabin) but it did get expensive. Ah well...it is cute so I'm sure it will be enjoyed.

120 gift bags? I think I'm going to have to agree with your husband on this issue. :sad2:

Wow, you are a madwoman! 120 bags! I'm impressed :thumbsup2

I have 48 of my items, and I am getting nervous now that ONE MORE CABIN will join. Of course, one of the cabins participating is mine, so I guess I'm ok if the numbers go to 49.....otherwise? Mat and Sarah get SQUAT. :rotfl:

120 bags?? :worship:
can you come to Cleveland and help me next? :goodvibes

Our f/e is supposed to be done this weekend, I know once receive the kids will really want to start making our treat bags. (I guess I better finish up. lol.)

OMG! If all of YOU DISERS think that I have gone overboard, then it REALLY must be true :scared1: :rotfl:

Hey, it's my first Disney cruise and I am just a little bit excited o.k. so give me a break ;)

I keep buying stuff in little amounts, that way John doesnt know how much I am really spending. ;)

and I keep finding "bargains" that I can not pass up. :)

I was going to go with Chris' theory of trying to come home with less. :rotfl:
