Our First Disney Cruise "Double Dip Delight" Pre-TR & TR September 27-October 4, 2008

Update for anyone still reading:

Our cruise meet thread is a great group of Disers. We have a lot of things planned for the cruise. One of these is a Secret Mickey Gift Exchange (like a Secret Santa). I just got the name of my secret mickey Diser and I am soooo excited. The diser I got seems like a really fun person and I have already ordered a few gifts. Since I tend to go a little over board with all of this cruise stuff , my S.M. diser is in for a great suprise.

We also got our very first passports today. I feel really official now
We ordered the Passport cards for the kids, but have not received them yet.

Going to really start plotting and planning for it this weekend. hmmm might need to head over to disneyshopping now better hurry before E gets home and cuts off my shopping for this cruise LMAO

Yeah the Passport Cards are still on backorder... I ordered one too before we knew for sure that they extended the Birth certificate/photo ID requirements and I'm still waiting, too....

I love my secret Mickey too! I've had a nice idea from the start and I am delighted that I got the perfect family for it, and I think it will be just great!! Its so fun when things work out all nice and easy like that! Ron is so funny he's like "Secret Mickey?? what is THAT?" And I just laughed and said don't worry hun...I'll take care of it! Now I just have to plan the big reveal......hmmmm......

Sadly yes I do... but im still excited... I was going to have Kimberly pick the names but thought that would just be so hard with having to email her all the surveys etc. SO I know.. but its ok I dont know what there doing LOL Thats the surprize to me/us!

Not only will we get along since we want to rebook our hubbies will get along also, mine certainly things I am nuts since I am ALWAYS dising But he does appreciate all the info I find out.

I am luck to have Crissichef who lives 10 minutes from me, who is on her way over now with MORE stuff for the cruise , her and I talk and hubbies ignore us

Sometimes I get jealous of 'couples' on the Dis. Husbands and wives both posting. I wish my husband would join in the fun. I am always telling him about what I read that day and sometimes I'm afraid he is just waiting for me to finish talking! But deep down I know that he appreciates all of my 'research'.

I am too much of a worrier to mail a box with all of that stuff in it
I will put it all in it's own suitcase and then use that suitcase to bring home all of our new goodies that we buy on the cruise.

Just the stuff that no one is allowed to wear or touch until the cruise, which is kind of a lot of stuff. Everytime I buy some new clothes or shoes for my DD she is disappointed because she knows she can't wear them for a few months
I am just trying to get an idea of how many suitcases we are going to need to take. I already have to pack an entire suitcase with just F/E and Secret Mickey gifts! I am too worried about sending a package ahead of time, so I will just use that suitcase to bring home all of our new purchases

Well, I think that is about it. Oh, I did book parasailing for DH and DD bonding time @ Castaway Cay, 2nd stop. Since DH was too SCARED to join us in doing the Stingray thingy.

Still waiting for more of my fellow cruisers to start their Pre-TR's!!!

There is no shame in packing now. You're less than 2 months away from your cruise. I started packing for my November cruise 13 months beforehand. (Granted, it was only the snorkeling equipment that we knew we wouldn't use in the meantime, but you get the idea.)

We are having a small family reunion at OKW just prior to the cruise. I have started putting my 'special foods' that I will bring on the table in the corner. Isn't packing half the fun??

Hi Arin! Your Pre-TR is cracking me up. Our first cruise isn't until March 09 and I already have 2 spreadsheets and 3 Word documents of notes from the DISboards!

I am doing the SAME THING, DD cant wait for the cruise so she can wear her new bathing suits, dresses, socks and even underwear Gotta have new, I really think we were separated at birth
