Our First Disney Cruise "Double Dip Delight" Pre-TR & TR September 27-October 4, 2008

We weren't planning on getting logo shirts. We all just have Disney themed shirts for embarakation day..............and trust me, it has been a challenge to get DH to even agree to that :sad2: :lmao:

I can only imagine - funny thing is for me - DH wouldn't wear the same shirt if I asked him to, but every once in the while we walk out of the house with our same disney cruise shirt on and it doesn't bother him a bit - guess I have to figure out how to "accidentally, on purpose" wear the same shirt :)

Ya I have no clue how Im going to get E to wear the one I made of our logo.... might have to bribe him...:rolleyes1 Then I got him a grumpy button down thought it might be cute for one of the dinners... he looked at it and said Its nice until I saw the character on it... figuring right now there is A LOT I can bribe him with or hold out on him with to get him to wear it...

I am having an overwhelming urge to buy tickets to MNSSHP for Friday September 26th as a surprise to my family  As all of you know, I have already gone completely overboard when it comes to spending for this cruise (disneyshopping.com, limo, F/E & S/M, disneyshopping.com, Romantic Escape Package, oh and........disneyshopping.com) :rolleyes1

So, does anyone know a good way to get from Cocoa Beach to WDW if we don't have a rental car? How much would a taxi cost? :scared1:

If one were to give into said urge...........where would one pre-buy tickets? :rolleyes1

Girl, you're going to need a freakin' semi-truck just to get your FE gifts over there. Seriously, call a town car service. They're not too bad, especially when compared to DCL transportation.

Call 407-WDISNEY for tickets.

I higly recommend MNSSHP, its a Blast! you could get a rental car at Budget, right near the port at noon on Friday and return by noon on Sat for less than $40, just use code W810011 on the Budget.com site, its for an ecomony but it might be cheaper than a town car

This goes for all of you on the 9/27 cruise.

Today, I happened to have been looking at something else, and thought of this TR. You see what I was looking at was the calendar for the Food and Wine Festival at EPCOT. I noticed that the opening day was 9/26. So, if my wife and I were going on your cruise, we would go to EPCOT on Friday the 26th before heading over to the cruise on the 27th. After all, that's what we're doing in November when we catch the last Friday of F&W before boarding our cruise on Saturday.

And you were going to go to MNSSHP when there is international food to eat and wine to drink! If you've never been to F&W and can get there, it comes shall I say, highly recommended.

Wow, F&W on Friday? And we are at BCV that night! Thanks, I will tell my guests (actually I am giving them the BCV, we will be at ASMu, I know, can you believe it???)

Yup...I mentioned it on our meet thread.
There are a lot of big Disney Events going on that weekend...closings/endings/etc.

Thanks a lot, now I have to try and talk myself out of THIS one! :rotfl:

I am thinking that my plans have now TOTALLY changed. I will update soon :rolleyes1

So, all of the planning, reserving and scheduling that has been done during the past year...........out the window :scared1:

It started with deciding to surprise the kids with tickets to MNSSHP and it just snowballed from there :rolleyes1

As of now our plans are: Fly into MCO early Thursday morning and take the Magical Express to................Disney Caribbean Beach Resort :cool1:

I am so excited to stay at a WDW property for the first time ever!
C.B.R. has a new pirate theme pool w/slides opening just a couple of weeks before we get there too pirate:

So, swimming and relaxing on Thursday, MNSSHP on Friday and then limo will pick us up on Saturday morning to drive us to the Port!

All of this is a surprise to the kids, and the limo is a surprise for DH. I am so not good at saving surprises, but I will do my best. I am just so excited I can't hardly stand it :cloud9: :cool2:

Sounds like a great plan. Enjoy WDW! The party is great fun. We are doing it Tues night.

Thanks. I am really looking forward to it.

I am loving your trip report. Just curious, what is MNSSHP?

MNSSHP= Mickeys Not So Scary Halloween Party
You buy a seperate ticket for WDW to attend this party. A lot of people dress up in costume and there is trick-or-treating. I have never done it, so someone else can probably give more detail.

You are going to love MNSSHP!!! I would love to go into more detail but you should experience it without any expectations. I will say that the Boo-to-you parade is great (I love the grave diggers) and Hallo-wishes is awesome. Oh yeah - there's plenty of trick or treat spots too!

And, um, at the risk of enabling another visit to disneyshopping.com. Are you all going in costume to the party?

We will be 4 older adults who will not dress up but love seeing the adults in costume.

My MNSSHP tip? Wait to get your until the end of the night. They had it out by the handfuls. My husband didn't believe me last year. And it is rare when I am right!:thumbsup2

Thanks for all of the MNSSHP hype. I am just too excited.

And, to those of you who have asked for it: I have a few pics of my "cruise pile" that I will post later tonight :scared1:

You all are going to think i'm nuts :rotfl:

I go MIA for a couple weeks and I come back and everyone's packed. I think I'm going to start freaking out. I've gotta pack, I've gotta Pack, I've gotta PACK!!! My husband is going to kill me if I start on that right now! :rotfl:
