Curious if you know if the Louisville store is closing?? I think I may venture over the bridge tomorrow and check!!

Yes, they should put one in Kenwood, as I can almost see Kenwood from the end of my street!

Very sad about Florance though. My DD worked at the Northgate store until they closed.

Maybe we Cincinnati area/NKY folks should have a Dis Meet at the Florance store before they close.

Are all of the Disney stores closing?

The one in Louisville at Oxmoor Mall is not slated to close. It is a nice store but stinks that so many are losing their stores.

In a couple of months they will begin to announce the NEW Disneystores that will be opening in 2010, with the new Imagination Park store design. These stores will be quite exciting, so hang in there everyone.

I was all set to visit the disney store on 5th avenue in NYC and I just read they closed it Dec 31. Ugh. I was soooo disapointed. The only thing that keeps my spirits up is the news that they are refurbishing the store to be some kind of interactive space. I can't imagine what they mean unless it will look like Disney quest. Hard to tell at this point.

I really don't understand the GA stores. The closest one to me is at the Mall of GA, which I love. You go in and they always have a great selection of stuff, and there is usually a ton of shoppers no matter what time of year it is.

And then there's the one in Discover Mills, which in my opinion is terrible. All they ever seem to have is "clearance" stuff. And there's hardly ever anyone in there shopping or buying anything. I was really surprised when they opened it, and when I heard about the closings, I really figured that it would be on the list, but it's not.

What even crazier is that these two are less than 20 minutes apart!! Sorry to hear that you are losing yours!

Thanks! Mine is the one at Arbor Mall in Douglasville. It's not always packed but when I've been in there there is always people in the store. It's a small store but I liked to go in just to get my Disney fix.

I don't know of another one that's close enough to go to. The ones near you are too far for me, although I have been in the Mall of GA once, but it was over a year ago.

My closest store in Littleton, CO is closing. I'll really miss it. We loved going to the events and stuff, and I think the one in Aurora and up in Flatirons are just too far away for us to want to go very often, if at all. It really stinks, I thought the one in the Denver area that they closed was the nicest of the three.

Rats! That is the only reason my daughter would let me go into the mall! We always have to stop at the Disney Store to see what they have and then I can get my other shopping done. I doubt I'll be spending too much time at that mall anymore. I'll probably just head over to Park Meadows. I heard they are putting an American Girl store in over there soon.

Some Cinderella (tons of size 4 only) and Ariel costumes 14.99. Other costumes were 37.49. GREAT deals. It was very busy. We found lots of deals for our next trip. Definitely worth the trip for us!

I'm surprised to read about the two closing in our area because one is in a mall that is always packed. We'll be keeping ours but I wish that they would sell something I would be interested in buying.
