Well he's 11 but I told him yes. _ I figure hey you got to pick your battles. I'll put something semi permanent in there so that it will hopefully be out before school starts because their dress code doesn't allow for any colored hair, wraps etc.
My mother on the other hand had a fit that I was going to let him do this.
but she's not the parent this time.

I don't blame you, I think I would have let my son do them too. It's not like they're permanent and I'm sure with him swimming in pools the whole summer they'll definitely be washed out by the time school starts again. I agree with the whole pick and chose your battles thing too, its nothing that serious and if that's the worst he's doing, then you're on the right track!

THAT'S AN AWESOME CAR!! How were you able to end your lease early!??! I wanted to do that with mine (goes til November) but when I go to school in September I won't even have a parking spot so it will just sit at home in my driveway! My dad said that you can't end a lease early?! Maybe he was just trying to make me feel bad LOL Anyways, that car is really nice, I'm so excited for you!

Thanksss!! I didn't technically end the lease early. Mine wasn't supposed to be over until the end of November either but Mitsubishi (and most other car companies too) will take the lease back though and roll the payoff amount into your new loan. Then they pay off whatever company the lease was through. I only owed 4 more payments on my lease...so I called GMAC, got the payoff and its part of the new loan. Really easy. You can totally do it without a problem but its not like you end the lease, you just get a new car early and still pay off the other one LOL

Thanks!!! I spoke to tinkgurl at around 3pm (my time, it was 2 her time and yours too I think) and she said she had like 3-3.5 hrs left until they were home so they're probably home or really close. She's missing WDW so bad already but she's excited to get home to see her lil' guy.

Thank you!! The car had 150 miles on it when I got it LOL I'm thinking it was driven to the dealership from another one or something like that. I loveeeee knowing that I don't have to worry about going over my miles (like on the lease) and knowing that anything I do to the car and any miles that do get put on it are coming from me. It's a great feeling!!

I'm finally back to update again and catch up on everyone's TRs. I feel like I've been gone for years even though it was just like a week of craziness. Anyway back to the TR, thanks for sticking with me people



When I last left off I had just kicked Chris's butt on TSM and we grabbed FPs to ride it again later. Now we decided to head down Sunset Blvd to check out the wait times for RnRC and ToT. I was playing photographer along the way, obviously

When we arrived at our destination we saw the line for RnRC already crazy and since we had just grabbed the TSM FPs we couldnt grab another one so we figured we'd just check back later for it. ToT only had a 30 min wait time posted which was fine with us! We hopped on line and were just surrounded by teenagers. Probably 16 yrs old or so. There were obviously a lot of class trips going on while we were there but it really didn't make us feel like it was crowded or anything. Just more teens than expected. The queue went pretty fast for ToT and soon we were inside the Hollywood Tower Hotel.

ToT is really Disney themeing at its finest. I also heard somewhere that the tower is made to blend in with the Morocco pavillion over in Epcot because when you look at Morocco from Epcot you can see the tower in the background and the Disney imagineers didn't want to ruin the realness of the pavillion. We got to where the line splits and both sides were open and pretty much equal in length but we went right. Soon we were on one of my favorite rides in WDW! Chris and I ended up getting the front row which was really cool but we were babies and held onto the little handrail thing in front of us the whole time Here's our redneck shot, idk if you can see us but we're right in front the 2nd and 3rd ones in from the left.

We only waited 20 mins even though the wait time said 30. Next we decided to head over to the Great Movie Ride. Yeah, this ride is old but I think people are too critical of it! I really enjoy this one. Some pictures of the movie screen in the queue

We got the gangster and it was a girl. She was trying wayyyyyy too hard to have like a heavy Brooklyn accent and she wasn't the greatest actress but it was still fun nonetheless. I'm not sure how thrilled Chris was with the GMR though LOL

By now it was about 11 or so and we were getting hungry again since we'd had a pretty small breakfast. We had a lunch ressie at Sci-Fi Dine In at 11:15 so we thought we'd just head over that way now and check in early. This is now table service #3 that we'd decided to keep. When we got there it turned out that I was mistaken and the reservation was actually not until 11:30. Not a big deal though, they checked us in and we sat down to wait.

Within 10 mins we were being called down to be seated early, probably like 11:15. Our dinner reservation that night was for Mama Melrose at 4:45 with the Fantasmic package so we didn't want to have such a big lunch or spend so much money on it either. Because of this we just opted to get appetizers here at Sci-Fi. This is the one other meal I forgot to take a picture of. Probably because we were so caught up in the atmosphere of the place. It's so cool in here! Literally and figuratively because it was freezing temperature-wise as well.

We were seated by an older woman who managed to butcher my first and last name. My last name always gets pronounced wrong but she managed to mess up my first name too. I never get when people do that because Kristen is really not a tough one. Anyway, we were seated in a car that had 2 rows and in the front row there was a mom, dad, young son (maybe 3 or 4) and a baby sitting on the outside in a hi-chair. You could tell they were a little annoyed that we were seated with them because the man and woman kinda looked at each other when we sat down but oh well, it wasn't like we chose the seat or are loud and obnoxious people. It was kind of awkward though and the place was definitely not full yet so I'm not sure why we had to be seated with them.

Our waitress came by soon and she was soooo nice. We had chosen what we wanted to order already so I ordered the spinach artichoke dip appetizer and an oreo shake while Chris got the 7 bean chili and a cherry coke. We really enjoyed all of it! I've heard negative things about Sci-Fi before but I didn't see any of them. The food was good and our waitress was so nice. She also told us Congratulations because she saw our anniversary buttons. The only complaint I would have was the seating since there was plenty of empty cars we could have had, the cold temperature and the waitress was a little slow but her sweetness made up for that. When she came over she asked us if we wanted dessert but we told her no, just the check. We waited like 10 mins and were getting a little antsy now but then she came back with an ice cream sundae, complimentary for our anniversary! How sweet!

I'm not really a vanilla ice cream fan but this was yummy. She also took our picture for us. It's dark but thats my camera for ya

The problem is that they bring the shake first, and by the time the food gets there, I'm almost full lol Yeah, I have no self-control when it comes to food in Disney.

What a fun update. Two of my favorite things to do at that park. We always go to Sci-Fi and we haven't ever had a bad meal yet. Of course, we stick to simple stuff, but we wouldn't keep going there if I thought it was bad. So weird about the seating.

Fun! Did you notice how they changed ToT? It was like a ton of little bunny hops instead of one big drop then back up and down a few times. It was TERRIBLE when I went in May - I thought I was going to vomit!! I'm glad you liked sci fi - we had slow service as well and were also seated in the back of a family's car. I would've asked for another table as soon as I saw the baby in the high chair LOL

i love sci-fi - glad you guys liked it too. they probably sat you in the same car because not all the servers were there yet and so they were just seating the sections for the servers that had arrived. i know when i worked at a restaurant we'd have servers that would come in at 30-minute intervals between 10:00 and 12:00 for lunch shifts. just a guess though!

Fun update!!! I definitely agree that ToT is Disney theming at its best! Too bad I have been too chicken to ride it since 1998. You mentioned a hand bar in front -- do all the rows have that?

Sci-Fi is too much fun! Did you laugh the entire time during all those movie clips? I think we were crying from laughing at the cheesiness!

Haha..the GMR movies while in line..you'll get annoyed with me over break. I sing along to all the songs and say all the words to the narrator's stuff to announce the movie. Sis hates me in that line. OMG, I hate it when the driver tries too hard to have the "New York accent".
