Terry has been working on covering a few of his shifts with shift trades so he can bank his vacation time...

Well, he has covered all but 2 of his shifts!! So he is using 24 hours of vacation time and has 2 1/2 weeks off!!!

That will come in handy later when we want to head to his aunt's again and for our vacation plans in 2011 and 2012...

Wow, that's the shortest camping trip ever LOL On the other hand, you were all able to enjoy smores by the campfire - easily the best part of camping IMO So, really, you had the best part of camping done, why not go home?!

I check it every morning, then sometimes again in the evening... What?? Is that obsessive??

Terry's parents gave Alec his birthday gift last night since they left this morning for 2 weeks and won't see him on his birthday...

They got him a digital camera! He wanted one so bad, and he was so excited when he opened it... It's red and cute... 10.1 MP and has lots of good features... Not too bad for a little point and shoot... He asked us to take him last night and let him buy a case that had a strap for him to wear it across his chest... He got one with it that attaches to a belt but he will be in mesh shorts a few days so that wouldn't work... I told Terry that he would need to show Alec how to use the movie mode and firework and night mode, and Terry looked at me funny and Alec pipes off with, "Mom, I already know how... Remember I am turning 10..." Well, where the heck have I been?? Apparently he is a genius and figured it all out in a matter of minutes...

When Terry saw how excited Alec was and how much he was enjoying taking pictures, he said that he thinks he will upgrade his camera and give Alec his now... Umm, WTH? What am I??? Where the heck is my DSLR?

Aw that's so awesome!!! I'll tell you, the things these kids know these days is crazy!! My 7 year old shows me things with the computer all the time and I am just shocked!! Happy Early birthday to Alec!!!

I always though the best part of a camping trip is that nice, hot shower when you get home - especially after a few days backpacking on the Appalachian Trail!! Oh - and porcelain - nice cool, clean porcelain!!

We are shiping our food in less than 2 weeks... I can't believe you guys leave in just a few short weeks.... I am so excited for you! I am still trying to figure out a way to id ourselves for when we are in the same parks.. Maybe I could wear a big poster board on my back LOL!!

Terry, can you two adopt me? I will take any old camera you aren't using . It is wonderful that your son loves taking pictures. My son went picture crazy when we went to WDW in 2006. I am sure he will grab my little point and shoot for much of the upcoming trip as well. You have me wanting to get a real camera .

I am still trying to figure out a way to id ourselves for when we are in the same parks.. Maybe I could wear a big poster board on my back LOL!!

We made buttons, really cheap and easy to do, and will be wearing them on our bags... They are about 3 inch in diameter, have a lime green mickey head, and our dis names...

If you happen to spot us, pull us aside... You should make them yourselves... We got the button kit at Wal-Mart... They are about 80 cents a piece, and just snap together... If you need help in photoshop making them, let me know...
