Same here. Wonder if it is a guy thing?

The poofy thingy is not gender specific in our house. I have three that I rotate, and so does DH. Mine are pink, purple, and yellow. His are blue, dark blue, and green. LOL!

WOW! LOL!

All though it lame, I find my question truly fascinating. I apologize, washcloth. loofah and poofy thing is all the same to me. My husband is a soaper which freaks me out. I mean how do you get those things clean? I then go visit my brother yesterday and find out the same is true for him, his wife and grown daughter!

Okay, to each their own. I just think its interesting how folks view the situation.

Thanks for playing along!

DH is a soaper, but my 2 DSs are pouffes! When my oldest went to basic training, the drill Sgt had a field day with him because of his bath pouffe!

I use mine a week and toss it into the wash. It lasts a few weeks and then I buy a new one. At $1.00 each, I don't feel too extravagant!!!

It really does depend.

I don't like using stuff if i don't think its clean, ile loffas and such. I used to have one, but i couldn't figure out how to clean them. I have also used a puff (which i do prefer) and then just blast them with boiling water every now and again.

I use a bath brush every now and again, but i never use a face cloth.

It has never even occured to me to use a wash cloth for anything other than my face, maybe i am one of those dirty europians! :rotfl:

I sometimes soap, i sometimes use 'devices', but i always feel clean.

:goodvibes

I use a shower "poof" with gel and DH uses an oatmeal soap bar with grains in it and a brush. Not sure if he brushes his nethers, though.

Again, most of the rest of the world does not use a washcloth, and we are NOT 'dirty foreigners'. Soap and water work just fine

I use my hands to soap my body and I use a washcloth on my face.

I was raised to use a washcloth but determined, sometime in my teens, that I didn't like it and preferred "soaping." I feel that all of my "areas" get perfectly clean and I am kind of confused how someone would even wonder how they could not be. Having done both, I'm just not sure why hand-soaping wouldn't work...:confused3

The only thing the washcloth provides is some gentle exfoliation. Since I have dry, sensitive skin, I find it most comfortable to not use one.

I'm sure the soap cleans just fine, as that is its purpose, but I'm not stickin my fingers up in my tushie to get it clean. I think that's what the poster is trying to say. Blech. Give me my poofy!!!!

Ok, I am the only hand user I see who dared to post an answer!! Where are the other 15 of you non-washcloth users??? Why are you letting me take the heat? :rotfl2:

I only use the scrubber to sloth off dead skin. My hand works fine when I'm at the gym, or on vacation.

:scared1: Do you mean you're stickin a POOFY up your tushie????

Not trying to judge, just trying to understand. Seriously. It's just amazing what you don't know about each other's habits... and you know, I don't think it makes much difference in the final result! You can't tell a soaper from a scrubber unless you peek into their shower.

no washcloth - although i'll use the exfoliating gloves if i'm feeling particularly grungy....

Yes I use the poof on the tushie just like a washcloth person would use their washcloth in there. At least I hope they do. That's why I have multiple poofy's that I switch out while others are in the washing machine, just like washing washcloths, I just like poofy's better than washcloths. I don't feel like I get any lather with a washcloth, and I like something more abrasive.

Yeah, because that seems so much more appropriate??:scared1:

I guess I truly am European. I'm not afraid to touch myself. Anywhere....:rotfl:

LMAO, I wouldn't say I am afraid to touch myself anywhere but I see no reason to touch my pooper with my bare hand if I don't have too. Why is it any less appropriate than a washcloth? It's the same thing only one is mushy soft cloth and one is abrasive and sudsy! :rotfl:

I've tried being a soaper, but without any kind of even soft abrasive surface rubbing my skin, I feel like I'm just putting soap on and then rinsing it off without actually getting rid of any dirt, or dead skin.

I am a soaper. Always was a soaper. Always will be a soaper- washcloths skeeve me out for some reason. I do occasionally use a scrubbie with some gel when I am feeling girly- but usually just the good old soap and water.

Sure I could wash my car with my hands but it would get the cleanest with the use of a rag. Same with dishes. I think that what folks are referring to - not that they're afraid to touch themselves.:)

Exactly. Good analogy! :thumbsup2

Now, TP or no TP??

LOL! Just kidding.........:lmao:

Friend went to the middle east once and she said they do not use TP and warned me never to shake hands with anyone if I went there! :scared1:

We are also a mixed household.

I use a cloth, hubby is a soaper. I still don't get how he cleans down there....it just doesn't make sense to me. He keeps the soap bar clean though, so I just try not to think about it :rotfl2:
