OT: Question about hubby *update on post 70*

You need to tell him he has to stay at home. A 3 hour trip is unaccessable. Does he not relize that us to 6 weeks after your surgery you run the risk of hemeraging. He needs to stay close by. What happens if you do hemerage who would be there to take you to the hospital .. look after the kids ect.

Daleswife, I'm so happy to read your update. Communication is so important in any relationship. I'm glad you are both on the same page now. Remember to keep that line of communication open. None of us are perfect, right? We need reminders now and again. Even small things can turn into big things if the person who is bothered doesn't speak up.

I'm not sure who you thought was all worked up and I don't think this thread turned into something meaningless and silly. I'm sure your advice was sincere....but I disagreed with it enough to want to say something about it. Nothing there to be "in the middle of". Just two different opinions.

I always laugh about how people on the disboards get all worked up over what it took them probably a few seconds to read. The disagreements always seem to detract from the OP and it snowballs into something meaningless and silly.

So now that I am in the middle of one of these situations, I am only going to say that my advice came from a place of genuine concern and sympathy for the OP. Of course, I'm not saying they shouldn't talk and she should just transport herself to 1953! Equality makes for a happy marriage!!

I'm just suggesting she give her husband some love instead of being overly angry so he can enjoy being home. I lived with this most of my life because my dad kept himself as busy as possible and when he returned I had to listen to my mom ranting and raving. I grew up watching that this method never worked. Littlbugmom, I hope you can now see my perspective and we'll leave it at that.

looks like Im gonna have some alone time with my DH tonight. My in-laws took my DD6 camping with them this morning and My DS2 will be in bed by 8:30pm. we'll finally get some much needed alone time to talk and listen to each other . Im so excited!!!! Just wish our alone time could be some "" time too, but alas, I had that danged surgery and cant do "" for another 3 weeks... Oh well I guess this will give us a chance to actually talk and not be all worried about "THAT".....
