So I can't remember if I told you all how Bella brought a shrew in th house on Saturday jsut as we were leaving for the night....

We couldn't catch it as it got under the dresser!

So we both got under said dresser on Sunday and there was no sign, and the cat was bothering anywhere so we figured it had been eaten or had made a lucky escape.......

Well we got in from work tonight and the house smelt all musty....Jack told me I was imagining it though.......

But thne I kept smelling it so I jsut got up and started hunting round the living room, and when I moved something there it was!!!!!!!!

Oh my god, the smell was sooooooooo bad....poor stinky shrew!

Needless to say I have disenfected the entire square mile of its final resting place, and all of our windows and doors are open and many a yankee candle is burning, and much febreze has been sprayed - but I STILL think I can smell it!

Well today guys I got another tradition...you know the massive statue ones??? The one of Grumpy???? £130 I got it for £65 cause it have a wee chip on his knee.....wooo hoooooo!...I'm defo eating in mcdonalds in January!!!!!.....you can't even see the chip so thats a bonus!!!;)

I think I finally can't smell it anymore......fingers crossed.......................

Great bargain!!! :)

Britchic - we have problems already and that is in nursery - girls are so cliquey :confused3 I really can forsee probs even at this early age :scared1:

In the UK I don't think any vaccinations are compulsory like in parts of the US. Most people do of course choose to have them done but not always ;)

I think the Government are thinking v long and hard about intro of the varicella vac but at the moment they do quote the 'rise in shingles' in the US as a reason not to intro it - that and of course the fact that they say CP is not a potentially fatal illness. The cynic in me says, they may well intro it and the 'risks' for not having it will all fade away in their literature/guidelines

I don't think i could subject Kyra to another vaccination.

I used to live on a small farm (my mum and dads)...that was bad for rats and mice.....I'd be sitting there and one would run through the living room....traps everywhere but they are wise to it in the sticks like!!!haha......Thats one thing I don't miss by living in the town!!!
Its so not funny but I also found a dead body before...at my mum and dads it was washed up from the sea (I got no smell:laughing:)....all I remember is beige trousers and red socks and he reminded me of a teacher:confused3:confused3.....oh the good old days.....:rotfl: My dad found one too in a car too....I'm tellin ya you don't want to hang around us..we are bad luck....once I got off the bus and my mums and their neighbour (she lived about a mile away)...was on her motorbike and got hit by a car right in front of me, she was fine in the end!
Another time we were looking after her dog while her dad went out in the boat and the dog tried to cross a main road to get to him and got hit by a car and died....

see we are weird and scarey!!:rotfl: Oh god aye and that guys wife....motorbike ladies mum got killed on the railway line next to mum and dads too!!..this is all years ago....they put the house up for sale about 2 months ago and dad wanted me to buy it..but I'm thinking the place is jinxed...plus we couldn't afford it anyway!!!:lmao:

Just to say I'm not actually laughing at those poor peoples misfortune just the whole bad luck thing.

I agree Emma and my DD1 does play with boys too (more so in the past) but tbh they get to an age (more boys than girls I think) where they don't want to play so much with the other sex esp when there are their own sex to play with

I just pray things work out OK - I'm sure I'm probably worrying over nothing, sadly a lot of the probs we've found so far are the parents not the children, at this age, they don't know any different to some extent. It's when the parents start arranging playdates that deliberately miss out your child, that is hurtful - you just want to punch them tbh and I'm not a violent person :rolleyes1 My Mum keeps telling me you can't control who they are friends with - some parents seem to want to mould whom their children play with even at such a young age as 3 & 4

Anyway, off my high horse - know what you mean about vacs - my DD2 had some yesterday - it's awful the way they have them in both legs now - I think at one point she had 3 jabs in one day with the new one they brought in a while back

I really want to invite Kyra's best friend round, they love each other bless. But i dont even speak to the parents, and they don't speak to me. So i'm not sure how a playdate would even work when both parents dont talk to each other :rotfl2:

As this (chickenpox) thread has moved on from DLRP trip planning I'm going to move it into the Chat thread.

Sorry for the interruption and please carry on ........... :goodvibes

Its meant to be hotter today than yesterday.

I spent all day yesterday at work driving from one place to another which would be ok but my car doesnt have air con just the old fashioned type - a window that opens -so it was roasting every time i got back in the car and everytime i got stuck in a queue

Did you all know Reid got married yesterday?

I don't think even his kids who went along knew it was going to happen!!

I wonder how long they've been secretly planning it?

I saw an AC unit on offer the other day & was tempted. Every year I look at them. Although this year I may actually buy one as i'm going to be doing nights & having to sleep during the hottest part of the day, no thanks:goodvibes

That is exactly what I was thinking:rotfl2:

Well I won't be around tonight as I have my night drive today. Not complaining though as it means I got a bit of a lie in this morning:)
