I really like the one we got. DH is the expert and he chose it. Ive just asked him and he said hes not sure if it works with a dongle. Ive only used it so far at home but hoping to test it this weekend when we go to Cambridge - Im looking for Wifi access to be able to log on for a chat :rotfl:
"System requirements for Huawei modems

For your modem to work, you need to make sure your computer meets some basic system requirements.

You’ll need a PC than runs Windows 2000, XP or Vista or an Apple Mac that runs OS X, either 10.4 (Tiger) or 10.5 (Leopard). Your computer should also have at least 128MB of RAM, and 50MB of hard disk space available.

And you’ll need a free USB port, so you can plug your modem in."

Your laptop should be fine with a dongle as long as it has these. :)

Also, look into it! I'm gonna *** then I can DIS whislt on the eurostar going to DLRP!! Hee! Will make the journey a lot quicker! (Once breakfast was tidied away I was SO restless!!!)

Cool, can I ask where you got it? And how much?

Is it linux as I've never used linux....

I'm looking at this one:

http://direct.tesco.com/q/R.204-8860.aspx

Or for £20 more you can get a windows xp one thats blue.

It was £199 from Currys and yes its linux. As I say we bought it really for internet. Its lovely being able to lie in bed on a Saturday morning and chat instead of having to get up and go on the PC

Mmm, it is a lot, especially for only 2 nights at disney. I'd scrap the london bits but then a londoner will always say that.

For £1.5k your could go to wdw for over a week too!

Yeah, I'd scrap the London bit too lol. You could use the money for a couple more extra nights at the DLH.

You could always set up a 'honeymoon fund' instead of wedding pressies? That's what a friend of mine did. They got married in July and becoz they were already living together, they didn't need anything else for the house etc. So they found a website which does 'fun' wedding lists... and they had a honeymoon fund. They went to Wales but stayed a few nights at some posh hotel. On the wedding list, they had things like £20 for emergency supplies of beer, £40 for petrol, £75 for a candlelight dinner, £25 for breakfast in bed, £30 for champagne...that kinda thing. We got to print off a little 'voucher' and either gave them cash or cheque.

We're now thinking we will just go from Newcastle.... :goodvibes

I really want DLRP for the Honeymoon though as it was the first place we went on holiday together, so its for sentimental reasons really....

Yeah, its ridiculous money, and I have no qualms about hotel costs but even I find DLH extortionate! Hence why I went for cheapest season, free night offer!

It is really expensive... We figure this is the only chance we'll have to stay there for quite a long time....

.....Having said that, it's still cheaper than the place my Mam's paid for for my birthday! I still haven't stopped thanking her for booking it yet!

We've thought about doing that, but we're only going to be getting somewhere of our own to live next summer, so we will probably actually need things for the house. I've got loads of stuff put away, but we will probably still need a few things.... Its a really sweet idea though.... Love the idea of the vouchers!! Might be something to bear in mind... It would be lovely to maybe ask for someone to pay for 'Our first meal out as Mr and Mrs Galvin'.... :goodvibes

Aww, thats a lovely first holiday.

Jack and I went away to krakow for our first holiday, a really really beautiful city - highly reccomended!! :)

Won't be my honeymoon though. :) Although they do have some LUSH hotels there, so would make an ace one!!

I love holidays too.... :goodvibes This year we've been away twice, and then we're going away overnight in the new year. I'd never stayed in a hotel before DLRP either, so it was an amazing treat!

Aww how lovely of him! I'm the one who does all the holiday bookings as well. I'll come up with places/ideas and report back to hubby... and all he'll do is say yes or no or make a stupid face... oh and pay for it  I don't mind doing it though. All part of the fun really.

No, not really. He goes only because he has to :lmao: . On a 'serious' note, I'm sure he does enjoy it though, esp seeing the kids' faces when they meet the characters and all. He loved it at Cafe Mickey too! If he didn't like it at all, he wld've said no when I suggested going back at Xmas time.

Well i managed to get the Snow White BBB dress from Disney World with the head band for $52 which includes shipping. The dress is $60 itself at the World so im pretty chuffed and so will DD be on Christmas day :)
