I'm at work wondering how some people actually manage to dial a phone!

Robert's at work too.... Hopefully his boss with actually respond the email he sent him yesterday. They're on about moving him onto another team and giving him more work. Thing is, they haven't mentioned and increase in pay or anything like that!! Robert's said he isn't lifting a finger unless they do because all the other people on that team get considerably higher wages than he is on now!

I'm still waiting for my 'boss' to get back to me about my leave for Disney in December.

I really feel for Robert, I know exactly how he feels.

I'm thoroughly fed up with my job and will be getting another one come February when new baby is born (don't want to loose my two weeks paternety leave by leaving before Feb)

Is this the hopeless boss you've told me about??

It's hard because he hates the job at the best of times..... He really wants something better but he can't seem to find anything.

Yeah that's the one! I'm the same really, the job is just one of those thankless jobs that you get no recognition and there is no chance of progression at all.

I'd like to get into construction although it would mean taking a trainee type job and going back to college while working.

Not sure if I'd be able to cope with that mentally and financially with two kids though.

Hope you don't mind me jumping in, but I do read this thread all the time.

You are entitled to 2 weeks paternity leave in any job, its just if your company pays more than the government does. I know what its like to be in a job where you're fed up. You have my sympathies

No worries, that's what it's here for!

Unfortunatly my company give me two weeks on full pay which is far more than the govenment does.

I'm sure I can stick it out until the end of March 2009!
