I had to walk to work today - the ice was SO bad on our drive (long and steep!) and road (it's private so not gritted, and edged with high trees so gets no sun!).

Took about 30 minutes, but was fun as I got to test out all my DLRP termals and snood and thigns, was really warm and snuggly!!

Kacee has developed an adoreable habit. Any time he sees a picture of himself or himself in a mirror etc he says "look Daddy, Kacee" however when you ask him his name he says "Tigger"

I have no idea. I just thing he believes that he is Tigger. He doesn't stop bouncing everywhere...if you ask him to go to the kitchen he will bounce rather than walk!

torsie your ring is so beautiful it is totally something i would pick.

just did some dlrp shopping. got myself a ski jacket and long sleeved tops, a jumper, thermal over the knee socks, leggings, gloves up to your elbows and a hat with a bobble on top that all my family are laughing at. i know i wouldnt wear it in a million years here but i refuse to be cold lol.

i have now decided to order the ski jacket for ash online. she can wear it here too *** its nice. i know she wouldnt wear the all in ones and if she is uncomfortable she is a nightmare lol

I'm packing like I'm going on a skiing trip!! Lol.

Actually worrying now that im going to overheat under all my layers! guess I can always nip back to the hotel to shed some though.

LOL! I was quite ok in December in a hoody and my coat tbh.

Although I don't feel the cold, I went snowboarding in Bulgaria and at one stage I was down to trousers and a t-shirt

I am going to go to M&S to get DD some thermal long seleve tops for DLRP, I already have some of the leggings for her to wear underneath her trousers so we can go to the peaks to play in the snow at the weekend. (if there still is any) .

I am dreading it being cold like it is when we go, hopefully it will warm up a little and they will be no ice, I hate the ice and hate sending DD into school when its icey as worry all day she run on the ice in the play ground.

Afternoon !! Very cold here today again although I find that it wasn't/isn't as cold as yesterday was?! Maybe I was better prepared today lol. I hate the ice/frost thing in the morning coz it means having to spend about 10 mins scraping the darn thing off and waiting for the screen to clear up after that before I can drive anywhere. Grrrr.

Met up with a friend for our usual coffee & chat - so nice to get back into the old routines again (although I'd probably moan about routines after about 2 weeks lol). Then packed up lots of stuff and have taken them down to the charity shop already. You know those big Argos carrier bags?! I had 3 of them - shame it doesn't show any difference around the house though lol but I know that it has been done and I feel a whole lot better about it.

Aww very cute !! I'm still trying to convince Adam that Mummy's real name is Alice and Daddy's real name is Peter lol. I'm sure it didn't take me this long to convince Louise that we have names other than Mummy & Daddy.

We had to walk to work because our road and driveway were way to dangerous to take my car near!! Hope it's melted today!!

Am not looking forward to the walk home.

Yeah, it is cold here too today (only a few miles from you though, so no surprise!lol)

Am not looking forward to the walk home.

It's usually colder where you are anyway. When there's snow, my friends always go up your way to go sledding etc coz there's always more snow there lol. Is your place quite far in from the main road? Is there a bus you could at least take for most of the journey?

it isnt really that cold here. thats why im so worried about the cold in dlrp. im convinced that it must not get that cold here and i would be unprepared lol. i dont mind the cold as long as im wrapped up. its rain i cant stand. and i hate umbrellas

thats so cute. ashleighs tells everyone her name is annie ( you know from the musical) and old ladies on the bus call her annie now lol. they dont even make the connection when she starts singing tomorrow tomorrow

I hate the rain at DLRP! In December it rained one day and we got totally soaked!
