Does anyone think the changes for ADRs (from 180 days out to 90 days out) is a way Disney is trying to cut down on the abuse of reservations during free dining? I called to make ADRs for our May trip and couldn't. I asked when the system would go back to the 180 day window and the CM said it wouldn't. This change would keep people from making a ridiculous amount of ADRs in the spring anticipating free dining in the fall. Just my opinion.

My opinion is that Disney wanted more flexibility in publishing the park hours given the economy. The two are really tied together. Now they only need to publish park hours at 90 days. It lets them adjust the park hours to match the hotel bookings.

A secondary reason might be to reduce the number of calls into Disney Dining. The closer your ADRs are to your trip the less likely you are to change them.

I'm happy with the change. Trying to decide where you want to eat six months ahead is ridiculous.
