M headed down thanksgiving Thursday for 5 nights. What's the story with the Osborne lights? Is it a must see? I'm unsure how it works? What time does it start? Is it a show? I will be there with my 3 and 5 year old. Any info would help.thanks!

I love the Osborne Lights...have seen them at least once a year for the past 11 years. Just saw them last weekend. Here is the one thing to keep in mind..you're traveling with little ones. Keep a firm grip on them. It gets insanely crowded in there. I'm pretty sure it's overwhelming from the viewpoint of a small person!!! If you can get there and find a fairly empty spot, along the sidewalk is good, then go for it. Or even towards the end of the street, under the overhead angels. Try not to walk down the middle of the street...everyone does that and it's zooy!

We where just there last weekend. Its a do not miss for us. It is shoulder to shoulder busy when they are first lit. The crowd thins out just a bit shortly after lighting. As goofy4tink posted, keep an eye on the kids and try to get them up to eye level if possible. Don't forget to find the purple cat!

It's definitely worth seeing, snow falling in central Florida, Christmas music playing, and a beautiful light display. Great way to get in the Xmas spirit.

If you're by yourself with a 3 and 5 yr old, I'd wait until just before close or an hour after they're lit. The crowds are super heavy when they first turn them on and your kids won't be able to see much.
