I've been invited to an ornament exchange and the limit is $10. Any ideas where to get cool ornaments that fit the price range?

I love the ornaments at Cracker Barrel! They are inexpensive and so nice! Do you have one near you? I always go every Christmas time and stock up! I usually decorate Christmas presents with them by tying them on the packages. Good Luck!

Disney Store online has some very cute ones on 2 for $16. I suppose that only is good for Disney fans though. I just took a peek at Pier One online and they have some unique and fun ornaments too. Some over 10 but there were quite a few under!:)

I should mention as well that I have purchased ornaments as gifts from Pier One before and they come in a very nice velvet covered gift box so the presentation is a little nicer as well.

I love Christmas ornaments.....borderline addiction (previous years).

I love the special kind, different than most, yet traditional.

One of my fav ornaments to give is a "bird". I have a special bird ornament that was given by my grandma....if is good luck to have a bird in a tree. I think there is a poem to go with it.

It is pretty easy to find a great ornament for $10, especially when there are sales everywhere.

Kohls
Macys
Bed Bath & Beyond
TJ Maxx

even Target and Walmart have unique ornatments. Oh, Walgreens, CVS, etc also have nice one.

I love the ones from World Market. I collect the ornaments of the nutcracker and my tree is covered with nutcrackers.

World Market has great unique ornaments. Also Pier 1 Imports usually has a few pretty ones. I was just as JC Penney the other day and they did have a few that I personally liked (I love mercury glass ornaments) but nothing intricate and "super" unique.

Check TJMaxx or Marshalls I have gotten some nice Lenox ones there. I found a really cute one at Kohls this year as well.

Tsk, tsk, this is a DISNEY board...we don't give people the bird here! :rotfl2:

OP- I like the ones at Michael's and Hobby Lobby, HUGE selection, everything from stunning to tacky and any color scheme you can imagine. I don't recall seeing any over $10, but if there were, they put out coupons every week pretty much for 40% off.

Man... now I really wish I was still working in my old office... I woult totally give every co-worker a "meaningful" ornament for the holidays... and give the boss a bird... :rotfl:

Craft sales would have unique items. There are lots of them scheduled around this time of year.

I stopped at the Kentucky welcome center just off the Interstate at Berea last week. They had beautiful, interesting ornaments that would be special. I think something hand crafted would be better than your typical store bought item.

i just got the xmas catalog from west elm and they have some really adorable ornaments, some handmade. i also like my ornaments from the MET, if you have any museums near you they usually have unique ornaments. it also supports a cause, like unicef shop has some nice ones.

finally i like the idea that others mentioned, of making your own or getting handcrafted ones.

i go to about 4 of these every year and we love getting ours from cracker barrell, marshalls, tj maxx, and michaels. sometimes we will get like a group of them all in the same family. sometimes people will bring xmas blankets, or nut gift box, and switch it up and everybody seems to steal those the most.

I love Pier 1. They have some great themes and they are uber cute!!!!!
