Ornament Exchange for this next year....

Just wanted to add my thanks for a job very well done! This was my third year and it was so much fun.

I can understand you not wanting to organize it again, though. I am sure we don't realize the work that goes into it. I'm sorry if the ones who were disappointed chose to blame you. You made a lot of people happy!

I was very happy that you took on the OE again this year as you also got gruff last year.

It is unfortunate that people that say they want to be part of something don't hold up their end of the exchange.

I enjoyed it and I truly hope someone does take on this tremendous task next year...........

Thank you and you have done a wonderful job! You can't control these things and I'm sorry you have gotten grief. I know some people end up not following through due to circumstances beyond their control, but for the ones that didn't follow through due to irresponsibility...shame on them. It's hard enough to organize something when you know the people, let alone people that are scattered throughout the country/world.

I also participated for the first time this past Christmas. I was very excited to go out to shop for my exchangees ornament. I had fun going off to mail it and was excitedly waiting to hear that it was received. I was also fortunate to receive a very cute rustic snowman which I proudly hung on our tree. Just wanted to say thanks for doing this. I'm sorry it was not a pleasant experience for you.

Let me add my thanks to your hard work in the Ornament Exchange. I know that you were very diligent in following up, and trying to make sure that everyone participated and on time, too.

I'm so sorry that anyone gave you a problem. Most of us know that it is up to each individual to send the gift, and that you have no control over it yourself.

For whoever takes it over for 2003 (and I hope that it is you, Chris), I would recommend that a list of those who don't come through is kept and that they not be allowed to participate in future OE's.
