Hi everyone,

Any advice on where flights coming from canada land at the orlando airport and how to get to the disney magical express?? Will we have to get our bags and go through customs when we land?

Thanks!

I know that when you fly Air Canada or WestJet from Toronto - Orlando you clear US Customs in Toronto and when your flight lands in Orlando it's treated like any other domestic flight that lands there. That also means you can put the yellow Magical Express luggage tags on and go right to the check-in counter once you get off the plane. Now I am not sure how the US Customs process is in Halifax, however if it's like the Toronto then the same rules would apply and not everyone who flys from Canada needs to clear US Customs in Orlando.

If you have to reclear custom in Orlando, taking your bags from there onto the airport tram to Magical Express is optional or forbidden depending on the mood of the agent. To have Magical Express deliver the bags, put the yellow tags on them if not already and then put them on the other conveyor belt before leaving customs.

When you exit security in the main terminal, you are "sorta" between the A and B sides. Turn to see the three foot neon "B" on the wall and go that way and then down to the lowest level (Level 1). If your gate was 60 or above, go down the corridor with the windows to the outside at your left.

You clear customs before leaving Halifax.
Well in that case the OP won't have to worry because their flight will be treated like any other domestic flight when it lands at MCO, so they can go right away to the Magical Express check-in desk and put the yellow tags on their luggage.

(Naughty nitpicking) Put the yellow tags on before checking the bags in at your origin (here, Halifax).

I keep getting conflicting answers about customs.... We fly Halifax - Toronto - Orlando. Some people say we will clear customs in Halifax (which is optimal as we do not have much time in toronto!) and some say Toronto. We are flying Westjet, if that makes a difference? I guess I'll find out in May for sure what happens!

PS we recieved our MAgical express tags today..... EXCITING! :D

If you change in Toronto, that is where you will clear customs. It is usually the last stop before leaving the country. I really don't like Toronto, it seems like you have to walk for miles. How much time do you have? If it looks like time is running short, just tell one of the agents and they can move you along in the line. Have a great trip. We change in Newark this year, hopefully it will rn smoothly.

The Toronto Pearson International Airport website has connection videos which shows the process when flying in from a Canadian city, then what to do if you have another flight to the United States. Since WestJet is located in Terminal 3 that's the one you will need to click, so here is a link to their website and in there click connection videos.
