Looks like the Dream on a FL resident discount or GT rate is what I shall do....those prices are insane, especially when you can get a very nice appointed balcony room on either Carnival RC Celebrity or Princess for half the price of an interior room on the "ground deck".

Ofinn, I know you wanted to try the Family Harbour this time around on the Vista...I will too in December...but keep the SPA level cabins in mind if you want to try one of their other newer ships like the Breeze. Their spa balcony's are very nice and the spa is very beautiful and relaxing...highly recommend them. You get an upgraded robe (every cabin category, including insides get robes on Carnival), slippers and spa ammenities (Elemis products)...full access to their spas that have aromatherapy showers, large whirlpool, steambaths with your choice of body scrubs included and different sauna rooms, with ceramic lounges overlooking the ocean and a very nice "quiet room"...just something to keep in the back of your mind.

I wish Carnival was in Europe all the time. I like their prices better. All I need is food, a place to sleep, and transportation to all the places I want to see....Oh yeah and a teen club so my kids don't drive me crazy. I will keep the spa rooms in mind.

Another comparison for you: we did the Dover -> Barcelona cruise last summer. Our original reservation was a 5C for 2A, 2K for $6676 including OBB. So that would have been about $7400 without OBB. Close, I guess, if you assumed our kids were free.

We ended up downgrading to a 9C guarantee, total fare $5063.

How do I find out which itinerary I'm looking at? We're looking at Fantasy eastern Caribbean 7-night that goes to the Virgin Islands. Is that itinerary A, B, C, or D?

I only know about WC, because it's the same itinerary we did in 2014 and that was C. I don't remember how I knew it was C. Sorry. I bet none of the EC itineraries are much different though on pricing.

For comparison, I booked onboard for the 2016 EBTA and it was $10,757 for a 4E for 5 people and this year with OBB it is 8704, so I thought it was a good price point.

There is a good group from the 2015 cruise booking the 2017 because the prices are similar and yes, those kids are homeschooled. ( <--I hate that it marks homeschooled wrong) To be perfectly honest, the time change is rough because the "teens" don't come in until 2am every night. (Edgies, 1am, but at that point, it's all the same.) I had the same problem on the Hawaii to Vancouver last year losing hours. Because they are all teens, we just all sleep in and they are ok going to breakfast (without mom) when they wake up. I had plans to workout every morning on the EBTA 2015, which did not happen at all because I was so tired. We had 6 sea days in a row on the 2015, but it wasn't planned. We were supposed to head to Iceland and they changed it up on us. It's planned this time, so I should be more prepared for it. At some point, I am going to start going west and not east, but the timeframe for EBTA works better for us than mid Sept WBTA. I wish I could have hopped on the WBPC, but it was too early, so we have schedule conflicts.
