Oogie Boogie on sale date June 26 early for MK June 24-25

I have never seen the Shaboom in Cars Land but want to catch it during my party night. Will it be the standard or something special for OBB nights?

During the Halloween period will be the seasonal song. Has been: “I Put A Spell On You”.

Just after 6PM, Disneyland listed the OBB as sold out! Unclear it tonight sold out or if they pulled it from sale. Would seem like they’d keep tickets up for an hour or so…
As an aside - it was honestly really hard to tell in person. If you asked me before the first parade, I would've said it seemed undersold - lines were pretty short, and I got a lot done right away. After the first parade, it felt like a typically busy DCA day. But if I had to guess (based on my own limited experience), it felt gently lighter than it did when I was there two years ago. (It seemed like all of the ride lines were short all night, which wasn't the case two years ago. Plus, I managed to get most everything I wanted to do done relatively early - I don't know that I needed the full five hours like I did two years ago.)

I wouldn't be afraid to pick that night again in the future. (I feel like they probably over-priced it more than anything else.)

Thanks for sharing! I’m certain the event officially sold out, although it sounds as if unofficially it did not. Guess being able to market the event as “sold out annually since 2019” is more valuable that a few more ticket sales.

Interestingly, there’s plenty of people looking for OBB tickets for late September into October. Wonder if we’ll see more dates next year.

LOL, the WDW and DLR app sent me notifications on OBB.

Noticing tonight that Luca and Alberto have replaced the Lightfoot brothers :confused3

I realize characters will swap out occasionally, but not a fan of this particular night's swap.

I was shocked at how busy OBB was! I was not at all prepared. I get some people love it but for us it was a one and done. We aren’t that interested in characters so it’s just not our thing. I thought it would be more like AH in WDW.

What is AH? MNSSHP? The events are similar but OBB is far more immersive/ advanced. Of course, if you’re solely interested in rides/ attractions with some trick-or-treating. MNSSHP will be a better choice. Or better yet, skip and buy a bag of candy from the store :).

After hours. It’s a ticketed event at WDW. It’s mostly just lower wait times for rides and they have food for free like popcorn, ice cream etc. We are mostly ride people so we thought the party would have lower wait times for rides and we didn’t realize that treat trails were such long waits. We actually didn’t go in a single trail. I admit we misunderstood the party. We got dressed up and that part was fun, but the rest was lost on us. It was an us problem, not a party problem. But it was so crowded and it was hard to even walk. Very different from our AH experience. We just assumed it was more like that and we were wrong. I wonder if we would like MNSSHP? We have never been to that either.

Disney has themed after hour events at DLR and WDW. DLR has more variety of such events, WDW has MNSSHP and MVMCP. These events are about the themed entertainment and characters. Lines are generally shorter during these events as well.

the AH events are exclusive to WDW. These aren’t themed events. You’re paying for three hours of short lines, along with a selection of food and drinks that has shrunk overtime.

Seems like you enjoyed AH events at WDW but IMO, the price is way too high for what you get. If you don’t like OBB, you won’t like MNSSHP - they’re very similar.

OBB does indeed have short lines. For example, looking at TD, Guardians has averaged a 70 minute wait but it’s between 20-30 during OBB. Monsters averages close to 30 but has been 5-10 during OBB. Treat trails are packed during the first hour or so, but after the parade you walk right through them. Maybe you had an unusual crowd the night you went. But ultimately if you were disappointed the food and drink wasn’t offered, keep in mind this is exclusive to AH events at WDW only.
