This morning, we got up bright and early and headed over to Animal Kingdom for breakfast at the Tusker House before the park opened. We waited about 25 minutes for the bus, and arrived at Animal Kingdom at about 7:50.
They checked our names at the front gates to make sure we had reservations and then sent us on the walk back to the Tusker House, which is less than ten minutes from the front gates. On the way back, I snapped some pictures to share with you guys.
Getting closer...
We'll be there soon!
As I got close to the restaurant, two of the cast members noticed my just engaged button and congratulated me. The male cast member asked me if I would like to play his drum, so I did, and the female one said she absolutely must take our picture. Now, if you haven't noticed yet, I'm not really one for posting pictures of myself, but I decided to take one for the team today, and you will actually see several pictures of me over the course of the day.
The Tusker House was right across from where I got this picture taken, so I turned around and rejoined my fiancé, who I had suggested go ahead of me.
Even though our reservation wasn't technically until 8:25, they let us check in early. Then they lined us all up to get a picture with the head honcho of the Safari breakfast himself....
After we got our picture taken, we headed in and ordered our drinks, and then our server suggested we head up to the buffet. This buffet is one of my favorite breakfasts on property. The food is all great, they have tons of choices, and they have some foods with an African twist in addition to the traditional American breakfast food.

My fiancé's plate
My plate--I only managed to eat about half of it!
Daisy did a little parade around the room with all of the kids while we were eating.
We finished eating by about 8:35, but since the park wasn't open yet, we decided to stay until 8:55 and see as many characters as possible. As it happened, we were able to see all of them.
(Mickey got all excited when he saw my engagement button and ring and pointed to my fiancé as if to say, "Is that him?" I nodded and he clapped his hands. Then I decided to tease him a little bit and asked him if he and Minnie were engaged yet. He put his finger over his mouth like he was telling me to stay quiet about that. Poor Minnie!
)
After Mickey, we saw Daisy again. I am not posting my picture with her because it's horrendous. My one with Goofy isn't that bad though, so here you go:
By that time, we had paid our bill, and the park was opening for the day. The rest of the morning turned out to be filled with lots of new experiences! I hope you all keep reading to find out what they were!
