We are on the bus headed to Animal Kingdom right now. We are having breakfast at the Tusker House before the park opens. Our must-dos for the morning are the safari, Expedition Everest, and the Lion King show. Then we will ride/visit whatever we have time for before heading to lunch at Yak and Yeti at noon.

Maybe we will cross paths--we are here until Monday!

That would be cool - never met a fellow DISer! We'll be at POR for the first three nights of our trip, checking into the Poly on Tuesday. But we'll be at Epcot Sunday and then have a crazy day planned for Monday - Blizzard Beach in the morning, Downtown Disney in the afternoon, Chef Mickey's for dinner and then over to MK for the parade and fireworks. Not sure we'll actually do all of that, but it's in the plan! So if you're in any of those places and you see these boys:

please say hi! I don't have a good picture of DH and I - we always manage to avoid the camera ;)

Hope your feet are feeling better this morning! Enjoy AK, we love a good breakfast in the morning followed by a lazy, yet bumpy ride through the safari :goodvibes

Thanks for the great TR I love feeling like I am right there as it is all happening:)

I really want to do Food and Wine too, but I don't know how I will work it in with my teaching schedule. I'm sure you will have a great time!

Enjoying your posts. We are headed back to F&W this year and going with a friend who is a teacher and her husband. We begin school here after Labor Day, but where there is a will--there is a way I guess. :lmao: She's looking forward to going and already has her sub lined up!

Hope your feet are feeling better this morning! We have never eaten at Tusker House (we have ressies at Boma for dinner on 12/1/10) so hope you share your feelings on your breakfast. Early morning safari sounds like fun right about now!

Thanks so much for your live posts! I am enjoying this to no end, and looking forward to reading each day. Although our trip is in 4 months, I am as excited as a child at Christmas time. I think planning is half the fun!

Just got caught up...great Live Report! Hope your sore feet feel better today...have a great AK day!:goodvibes

We might go to Epcot Sunday morning, and if we do I'll keep an eye out for you. I'm sure you'll have a great trip...there's been hardly any crowds at all!

The safari was really good today...got some nice animal pictures I will be posting later.

Our school is pretty strict about absences. I could take a personal day and come down for a long weekend, but I feel like that would be too rushed. My other option might be to go over the NJ teachers' conference weekend in November, because I think they still have F&W then. I can't do it this year, though, because my cousin is getting married that weekend...plus I don't think I cam afford another trip that soon!

They still hurt, but thankfully not as bad as yesterday because I really packed the moleskin on. I'll be sharing my thoughts on the breakfast in an upcoming post, but I can tell you right now that it's one of my favorite breakfasts on property!

I also love Spaceship Earth!!! I like the ride photos - thank you!!

I've got serious foot problems so I can commiserate with you! I run all the time so I hate wearing tennis shoes because I use them for my runs and my feet get so hot. So I wear tevas and well-worn-in dansko sandals at the parks. I switch my shoes at least once a day if not twice (it's better for your feet to change up your shoes). And I bring a gadzillion bandaids in case I get blisters but it isn't too common due to the great shoes I bring and switching it up. I hope your feet are feeling better! If not, I find a couple martinis help :rotfl2:

Is your first DIS post on my report? If so, I feel honored! :goodvibes:

I've heard the Tevas are great; kicking myself that I didn't buy a pair before coming down here. The martinis definitely do help ;)

All caught up! Loving this live report. It's almost as good as being there. Glad to hear you enjoyed Teppan Edo. We're doing that for the first time on our trip in January. Loved the pics too.

I agree with you about Tusker House breakfast - I do think it's the best on property.

Have a great afternoon. Look forward to more!

Love to hear that it's low crowds!! Since our school district starts late this year (normally we go back the week before Labor Day) we know at least two other families that will be there at the same time as us! We're all hoping for low crowds and no hurricanes!!!

Love it!! So glad you are having fun! Enjoy!!

We got engaged in Disney in 2003......now 7 years and 3 kids later...it's a whole new Disney for us!! Enjoy the grown up time, while ya got it!!!

I'm actually wearing Tevas as I type this (shh, don't tell anyone, I don't really feel like changing back into my work shoes right now). I might have to buy another pair prior to leaving!

Thank you for all the great pictures so far, especially of Spaceship Earth. I absolutely love it.
