We land at 11:00 on January 19th and plan on going to Hollywood. Universal on the 20th and Magic on the 21st for my birthday.
It is just me and my boyfriend. There's not a lot I want to do in Hollywood(5 rides, 1 show) am considering going to Magic(13 rides, no characters)instead and doing Magic for 2 days. I know I'm 26 but I kind of want to meet characters and do this trip right since it's my first time.

Thoughts? Advice?

Thank you all so so SO much!!!

There are a lot of characters in Hollywood Studios (DHS). Character Palooza may be of interest to you as you can meet characters that won't be out in Magic Kngdom.

Kenny the Pirate also has a listing of all characters and where they can be found.

If you land at 11:00, you may get to a park by 1:00. Which park has late hours on your arrival day? I would do both parks rather than only MK.

If it's your first time with only two days, I would tour Magic Kingdom for both days.

With time so short, I'd consider doing both days at MK. There's so much to do there, and its iconic Disney. You may also consider park hoppers. These would allow you to visit more than one park in a day. You could do the few things you want at DHS, then hop to MK for the evening, or even go to Epcot for dinner and/ or Illuminations.

What are the rides you are interested in at MK and which show at DHS? I think I can guess which 5 rides you want to do at DHS since there are only 5 rides total. :rotfl2:

I'd think regardless of the rides at MK you want to see, you should have no problem doing then all in a day, but I'd still consider giving it more time rather than spending half a day at DHS. What time will you be arriving?

I'd also consider skipping US for an extra day at Disney instead. I loved our Universal day, but it was 140 per person and the day was non stopped rushing around trying to do everything.
