one-way rental car

After a short Disney stay we'll need a rental car to drive to Sanibel Island for a week.

should I skip having a rental car for the first few days (using ME to get to the resort) and reserve a one-way from Alamo/National at Disney's Car Car Center and drop off at Fort Meyers

or... just get the rental at Orlando airport when we arrive, even though it'll go un-used the first few days?

I'll research which is cheaper, I guess I'm just asking if I'm missing another alternative or seeking advice since I've never done one-way or used Disney's Car Car center as a rental location.

Hi,

We have done the same itinerary many times, and we have always rented a car on our last day from the Dolphin and driven it to Sanibel. Then we drop it off at Ft. Myers airport when we are on our way home.
