I finally convinced my brother to take my niece to DW. The last time we went she was 2 :faint: . I told her we were going in October and I was going to convince her father to join us and she was all...:cheer2: She's turning 13 in August .. Shame on my brother :confused3 Anyway , he told me to make all reservations plane, hotel, car and get the tickets. If, I make the reservation for the 2 rooms under my name and pay the deposit with my credit card, can we both make payments with our credit cards until the rooms are paid for?? If this can't be done can I make a reservation under his name?? and the other under my name ?? I know they ask a lot of questions and would not be surprise if they start taking finger prints and DNA samples in the near future:sad2: I would like somehow for our reservations to be linked together. Any thoughts??

Two people cannot use credit cards to charge on one reservation. Can he pay you in cash and you put all the charges on the account?

If you have two separate reservations, you can ask them to note that you are traveling together on each reservation.

I have 1 reservation under my name wtih 2 rooms for next month. Earlier this month I paid on both rooms with 2 different credit cards, one in my name and the other in the other couple's name and had no problems.

We have traveled with family 3 times- 3 different rooms under one name. While we didn't pay on the room before we went, we did pay for the room on three different cards at check-in. We also were allowed to have three different charge accounts for the charging to your room perk. The cm even subtracted the deposit for all 3 rooms away from the reservation holders remaining bill instead of us having to pay him back. That only happened one time out of three trips though. Just call and ask. I don't think it is uncommon for people to have more than one room under one person's name but not immediate family. If you don't like the first answer, call again- different cm give you different answers somethimes!

This is interesting information. I tried to to this in 2002 and was told that only the person whose name the reservation is in could use a credit card to put money down. Sorry for the wrong information bridgettesmom!

Thank you!! This is exactly what I wanted to hear!

Letsbgoofy.. I really appreciate your help !!

Now, if only October would get here faster:happy2:

A few weeks ago I booked 2 rooms under my name at BWI and told the CM that one room was for me and my DH and the other was for my sister and my 3 nieces, but that my sister would be paying for the second room. The ressie confirmation came in my name, but the CM told me that my sister could use her own card for charging privileges and they also asked me what her name was and the three girls. My sister will pay off her own room and I will pay off mine.

It's great to hear from someone else who has done this...

Thank you:flower1:

They have really eased the credit card restrictions in the last couple of years as far as paying CRO.

It used to be that AMEX was the only card you could call in, any other card you had to fax in the authorization with the signature and it had to match the name on the reservation.

They also greatly expanded the cards they will accept.

Nowadays you can call in any credit card # and as long as the security info matches they will apply that to the reservation.

Besides all of that, when you check in, just have each person that is paying on the balance of the rooms present their credit card and tell them how much of the room you want on that card, then the next person, etc. You must do the math yourself, the CM at the desk will not know the split!!! Then if the charging priviledges are on one card, that person must register their card last.

If you want to split up the rooms for charging privledges, you will probably have to ask for a Supervisor as most CMs at the desk will not know how to do this.
