I opened a Chase Southwest credit card in May 2016 for the 50,000 bonus Southwest points and paid the 99.00 fee. I have kept the card open. On the May 2017 statement I received my 6000 anniversary points. On the June 2017 I paid the 99.00 fee again.
Thinking of canceling this card, but do not want to loose the 6000 bonus points that I should be receiving on the May 2018 statement. My 99.00 fee should not hit the account until June 2018. My thinking is that those points are for the past year 2017-2018, but do not want to risk loosing the points from the May 2018 statement. I have a balance in my Rapid reward account, so they could pull the points out.
Any advice would be appreciated.
