On-line Check-In

I've seen a lot of discussion about on-line check-in. What is advantages and how is it done?

When you are within 10 days of your trip, you can use online check-in. I accessed online check-in by going into 'My Vacation' on the Disney website, but I know there was also a link in an email I received, as the trip got closer.

Basically, you just verify information and enter your credit card information (if you want to be able to make charges with your KTTW card). It only takes a few minutes.

There is not a space to make specific room requests. If you want to do that, you need to call Disney and ask for it to be noted in your reservation. If you do have room requests, they will not show up on the online check-in page.

We used online check-in in June and it worked well, for us. The regular check-in line had quite a few people in it. The online check-in line didn't have anyone in it. We were able to walk right up to the counter.

Since we did online check-in, our package of information was ready to go and our KTTW cards were already printed. I think I was at the counter less than five minutes.

I would use it again.

I think I encountered an error with online checkin. I just tried it. There is an option for room requests but it did not allow me to make a request. It said that I could save just two requests and that disney will make every attempt to accomodate me but I never got a screen to enter any text. Anyone else have the same problem?

Yes, I had the same problem. Misery loves company. I was not able to write anything in the little pop up box. I saw the same line you did, that we could save two requests, yet, it never let us do so. I'm going to keep checking to see if the option appears that WILL allow us our two little requests.

This must be a new thing because they DO have a screen to add room requests. I just saw it today. It's just that the room request screen is not functioning properly and will not let you put in your requests.

It looks like this MIGHT be a new feature for online check in... room requests online. Why else would the tempting little box be there??? Yey! I hope so.
