I'm so angry....I've been looking just like everyone else for the darn hamsters, I called target this am and asked and he said they had 10 in. I got in my car, drove 40 min w/a knot in my stomach the whole way wondering if I would get there in time. I got there and before my eyes were the hamsters. I picked up 4 (1 of each color, so 2 for each DD). Went to the check out and they told me I could only buy ONE
I got the manager involved and she said that "target reserves the right to limit quantities". I said that would be fine IF when I called and specifically asked the question I had of been told there was a limit and/or when I got there, there was a sign posted like Toysrus has.

This where asking the teammember to to hold the hamsters for you might have paid off. Because if the LOD had mentioned the Hamsters were restricted then the salesfloor should know about it. But I'm guessing you called b4 the morning huddle was held(if there was 1) and the teammember did not know about it.

As of mon. I haven't heard of any restrictions about the Hamsters when they come into my store, and if they do, i have a built in way around it.

I did call this morning, when they said they had some, I asked if they would hold them and they said no. I got there at 9:30am so I would think the huddle was over by then.
What about there being no signs of any limits? When the Wii was a "hot" item, they had signs everywhere including the sales ad as to what the limits were???

My boy's don't even want tehm. but I got them anyway just incase last minute they change thier minds. mi got 2 hampsters and the funhouse on e toys. paid a little more but I have them.

Has anyone seen the boat?

Boat is suppossedly not due out until spring

Hopefully I'm one step ahead of them in that I took the other 3 that I wanted and put them "back" just not in the right spot!!! I will go back after my kids get out of school and we will hopefully purchase them then.

I've got 3 hamsters..one for each of my kids but nothing else! The store in my area are always out of them.

Car/garage - bought at Walmart
Slide - bought at Target
Fun House - bought at TRU

No hamsters yet.

I think for the pieces I am done though. I dont even know if I am keeping this stuff yet. If I dont it's going to be a pain returning stuff to 3 different stores. DS has been asking for it but then he asks for everything he sees on tv

I swear there is not a single hamster in the entire Pittsburgh area!!! I check WalMart, TRU, Target on a regular basis. I have friends & family looking for me.....my entire Facebook friends list is on high alert. I don't get it?

Oh wait, that's in my dreams.... This is the only thing my 6yo has indicated she wants.

I've managed to pick up the ball and the sleep dome/surfboard sets. I went ahead and bought the hamsters on Ebay just so I had some ($17.50 a piece shipped; kept 2 and sold the other 2 for same as I paid on Craigslist).

Anyway, was at the WM in Bethel Park. Here's what they told me. They unload their trucks at night so best time to go is around 11pm. Ask for the manager and they'll tell you if they are on the truck or not. As it is, there is a sign up that says you have to ask an employee for these. They are limiting purchases to 2 of anything zhu zhu related. Not two of the same thing, but two items period.

Oh, I was there the Sunday before last and I had gone to TRU first to get something and then hit the WM on the way home. Employee said if I had been there an hour earlier I would have had hamsters.

I finally just gave up and bought everything on ebay for 4 kids...had to remortgage the house to do it...not funny, but seems like it...I just was afraid I wouldn't get them. So now I am broke.

OMG you guys...guess what I just remembered? One of my coworkers has a husband who is a Target manager . I just talked to her about getting me the hamsters and offered to take one of her shifts covering the reception desk. We all dislike covering that desk but you gotta do what you gotta do . She even said if they get them she'll use her 10% discount!!!

I went to TRU this AM for the first time in about 2 weeks. (Haven't been going since I am technically done.) I could not believe how many more people were in line compaired to 2 weeks ago. I'm so glad I'm done. but will be back on Friday to help my friend collect them for her DD. The hunt continues....

I have gone to 2 targets, 2 walmarts and a tru store almost daily looking for them. The only store with a limit is tru your limited to 4 hampsters. Friday i was making my rounds and wasn't even going to go into tru but said why not, and there they were. they had about 12 left on the shelf so I grabbed my 4 now to find the accesories, nobody seems to have them either

Oh I wasnt asking him to do anything dishonest. Just buy it when it was stocked since he would obviously know when that was. And I told his wife that while I would love 2 I would be happy with one. So I am not being greedy

My dh found out that our Target had 16 hamsters put out this morning. He went to the aisle and a lady was just putting the last of them in her cart-she bought ALL 16 of them!!! Another store had 16 but they were gone before we could get there.
