I am in the same boat you are! All I need is one little hamster...I don't care what he looks like...
I am about ready just to go buy a REAL hamster.........LOL....save me all the trouble of running around I am doing!

I keep going back and forth between walmart & Target each day. I found the hamster ball, but everything else is always gone.

My DD turns 6 on Sunday ,and it has taken Mom(who doesn't work and can run around for me) weeks to complete the set. I hope she plays with them a LONNNNG time after all of this madness.

So I was in wal mart earlier and was buying some birthday presents for my oldest DD. She turns 9 on saturday. I was checking the isle for zhu zhu pets, as usual, and they did have one accessory that I needed. I talked to an employee and they are ON THE TRUCK to be delivered at 4pm. Ugh. Should be unloaded around 6. Great, right? The only problem is that I have soccer pictures to take for a team on post at 6:15. The pictures should take me a little over a half an hour. Will I miss them all? Or should I try going around 5? Ugh. Talk about stress! Over a stupid toy! I better be getting something good from Santa this year for all this trouble... and its not even Halloween yet!

Advice?

An update! I told DH about it when he came home for his ten minute lunch... and he said, "Well, I guess I won't be meeting you at soccer tonight, I'll go to walmart instead!" I can just picture it now... the big tough guy in uniform shouting out in the girls toy section for zhu zhu pets. I hope he has some luck!!

I only need one more hamster, and don't really care if I find it. As long as DS has the 2 he really wants I'm happy. I am still hunting tho as a friend of mine just found out this is what her DD wants for Christmas. Glad to be done, but still enjoying the hunt.

I have two hamsters with carriers and blankets for my 2 DD's. I haven't found the accessories yet but don't want to pay top dollar for something that will probably on sale after Christmas. I am hoping that although they see them running around in the funhouse, the girls won't mind that they don't have all the big bulky accessories. Maybe I'm just being too optimistic...

Thanks for the good luck!!! It worked!! He was able to get two, and there were more going out on the evening palate, so I just got back from two walmarts and was able to get the other hamsters, two balls, and the funhouse attachment. Yippee!!! Now I just need to find the car, etc, but the walmarts here don't seem to carry those yet. I have to go to OKC next week and they are said to have a whole endcap full of them. What a relief!!!

See??? It can be done, people!!!

Our little local toy store (The Learning Express--a franchise--learningexpress.com) has zhu zhu pets....BUT they are not for sale. The are free with a $100 purchase.

Brilliant marketing move on their part, in my opinion!


ETA: I just checked the website and they do not mention zhu zhu pets. The e-mail I received notes: "Limited time promotion for our e-mail customers only!"

I don't understand why Indy isn't getting the hamsters in. We must have the nation's supply of fun houses but no hamsters.

I swear there is not a single hamster in the entire Pittsburgh area!!! I check WalMart, TRU, Target on a regular basis. I have friends & family looking for me.....my entire Facebook friends list is on high alert. I don't get it?

My boy's don't even want tehm. but I got them anyway just incase last minute they change thier minds. mi got 2 hampsters and the funhouse on e toys. paid a little more but I have them.

I found the car at our Walmart yesterday. The section they have for zhu zhu is very tiny and if the employee hadnt shown it to me I never would have found it.

I'm so angry....I've been looking just like everyone else for the darn hamsters, I called target this am and asked and he said they had 10 in. I got in my car, drove 40 min w/a knot in my stomach the whole way wondering if I would get there in time. I got there and before my eyes were the hamsters. I picked up 4 (1 of each color, so 2 for each DD). Went to the check out and they told me I could only buy ONE
I got the manager involved and she said that "target reserves the right to limit quantities". I said that would be fine IF when I called and specifically asked the question I had of been told there was a limit and/or when I got there, there was a sign posted like Toysrus has.
